I agree, it also seemed too simplistic to me, it It didn't add any shine to the group, after they spent most of…
I completely agree, the way this group is written is a wasted opportunity — people going through motions without any real purpose or conviction. They keep doing rituals or habits they don’t even seem to believe in, almost like they’re filling space instead of actually standing for something. It makes the group feel hollow, which is a shame because the show could’ve done so much more with their history and potential.
He certainly looked pitiful - I was wondering if preview for ep 22 was a near death experience for him
Thanks for sharing that interpretation — it’s an interesting connection. The tangerine scene does fit with what you described about New Year’s Eve and the idea of a hopeful future. Appreciate you pointing it out!
Up to episode 20 now, and things are heating up. As more details were revealed about the syndicate, the plot’s getting more interesting. The show has been way too obvious spotlighting the bad guys so far, but now I’m in that “I think I know…but do I actually know?” stage about the final villain. And that smiling killer? Creepy, but I’ve got to admit—he’s a solid bad guy. He shows too much pleasure in stabbing his victims repeatedly.
I love watching Guan Cen and Du Ling Feng tag-team the case. Their rapport is great, and honestly, I wish the show gave them more scenes together. Chief Huo and Dong popping in with some comic relief is a bonus. If I could wish for a spinoff, it would be one about their bromance while solving crimes.
Can’t believe the show’s almost over. Fingers crossed the show doesn't drop the ball at the end!
Xiong-ge’s face after Yan Tuo told that whole love story about NJL was priceless — he looked completely confused, like “what did I just listen to?” LOL.
At first, I honestly thought a scene had been cut. I kept waiting for Yan Tuo to make a move the second NJL gave him that little smile of approval… and even adding water didn’t help move things along. In the end, it took fireworks to finally get those two going.
I am so stressed now and the previews for ep 19 and 20 are not helping! 😫
Looking forward to that 😁 I might restart Wanted Detective. I didn’t like the FL there either but she wasn’t that bad too. The problem is me - I just want better FLs for WXY 😊
WXY is carrying the whole show and he looks so good doing it! The plot is predictable, but it’s entertaining enough. And the camera work cracks me up—it’s like the production team wants us to guess the villains immediately. Every time they highlight someone suspiciously, boom, they turn out to be evil.
I kept waiting for her to level up, but now that I’m at ep 14, I have to admit the FL character is kind of a letdown. She walks around with this permanent grumpy-constipated face, acts tough only with the ML, and then turns into a doormat for everyone else. She wanted to be involved and spy on the bad guys in ep 14 and guess what, she couldn't even do that properly. Girl… please.
Even though he's annoying, at least the SML is a good friend to the ML. Can he just move on to Dr. Ding already and spare us all?
This is the lesson that every crime scene, there will always be careless clues being left behind😓.
Totally agree -Ali think she’s realizing this and finally sharing more with Xing Shen. Yan Tulo needs to learn that he cannot outright lie to Lin-yi. She’s caught him quite a few times already.
