They've already hinted at the ending. The Prince told his Sister the Princess, that she'd make a much better ruler than he would, and he didn't want the job, but he thought she would accept it if she could. Which would be harder for the country to change, not allowing a female to rule, or having a male-male couple as the ruler(s)?
Did You Notice: The song that the two girls perform in concert at the beginning of the show, sounds like a slight re-arrangement of the song performed in the fantasy sequence from the very first episode of "Love Sick" from July 6th 2014, literally the first BL episode ever to go on broadcast TV. That song is "Don't Get Me Wrong" by "Triumph's Kingdom". These words are different, but the melody is obviously the same. It's also used as the playout for each commercial break.....
