This director is an ANOMALY. Idk how this film got conceived if you take a look on his previous work. Well done but definitely interested on his mindset when he came up with this movie roflmao
This felt like a choose your adventure book that are usually badly written and has tonal shifts as per the usual choose your own adventure books but this one is actually a fun and naturally humorous watch
This film was already bittersweet enough but it became downright heartbreaking knowing how such a talented actress with a bright smile named Takeuchi Yuko had and for it to be taken away too soon. Rest in peace..
Hello everyone, I'm interested in movies/dramas that point out Mental Ilness issue and can you guys spoil me which…
There isn't really a mental illness pointed out per se but the characters and the plot itself is set upon a simple life ruined by tragedy. What comes after is up to you if they were mentally ill or just damaged from such tragic event and what comes off of it and the conception of the "Master Plan"
I usually hate stepsibling romance in stories but I came for Mori Nana and honestly the story ended up being cute as hell. Probably because of her acting skills. Need more projects pleasee
I've only seen her early to mid 2010s cameos but I was shocked to see her skintone to drastically change, I almost didn't recognize her. Any idea on that?
I don't get why people didn't like this film, the trilogy was a much more lighter and expansive watch with all the world building and character developments of more characters but for me (haven't watched the final, watch order was trilogy, beginning, final) this was the best movie so far.
I love the atmosphere and the slowness of the film. It made things marinate into making things feel heavier and actually matter for the characters itself. I dig how they delved into the whole totality of kenshin, battousai, and tomoe's character.
The action scenes felt more intense naturally due to kenshin actually killing people. And i don't fall for the ridiculousness of the first fight scene, since the trilogy had much more BS powers lmao. Idk the trilogy really overused the power of friendship mantra. Also kenshin felt like the typical superhero in the trilogy (which he is) but for this film he felt more human than ever before for me.
I can understand if this movie ain't for you though, since this movie was more of how characters felt amongst their purpose in life, namely tomoe's and kenshin's. This movie naturally lacked the larger picture and gravity that the trilogy had with its involvement into the government side and all. I guess different strokes for different folks.
P. S: haven't watched a lick of the anime nor read the manga so spare me the elitism haha.
it was all perfect, the mystery, the pieces, the suspense, the atmosphere, the music, but then it come the conclusion,…
I think the show took the convenient path of resolving things too fast for the sake of the philosophies at the end. The conversation with Kotokue and Hirokawa, Mizushima and Ritsuko, the way the characters overcame their imbalances towards desire (detective being too desiring about vices, her daughter desiring too less), heck even the ugly side in shiori's predicament about the weakness of humans.
I certainly appreciated, in my 2nd watch, towards the philosophy which is just my personal bias but if you came here for the pure thriller, suspense, and story telling then its natural to ask of a monumental ending. If they properly balanced it out between theatrics, dramatics and philosophy? oooh boy
I have a personal interpretation that she has some sort of autism which makes it all the more impactful and clearer on the whole context of the movie tho I get it why it was never explicitly stated, it really adds the magic of the storytelling. Idk if the source material clearly states why she was like this but if it were....man this is such a quality watch. Almost skipped this one too, glad to have stuck this one out.
Can someone spoil the end??? Cause I didn't watch last part...thanks
Kazuomi gets invited to go out by Akari during christmas and it eventually ends up them confessing to each other and reaffirming their dreams. Rio and Yuna come eventually and they all stare at the sky and bam end. Its an open end where Akari still goes to America with the rest staying.
I will be attempting to translate this film based off a haphazard google translation off of subscene. There is a raw copy which allows subs insertion over at fsharetv(.)co. I simpy cannot find a way to download a soft copy off of some torrent sites so this will have to do. Luckly this person has it timed well. All I have to do is correct his translation. I cannot guarantee the utmost accuracy as I am basing it off my less than basic japanese conversational skill, years of japanese movie, drama, and anime watching experience, this guys literal google translation of the script, and by the movie's context. There is no timetable for me finishing this but I guarantee that it will be done and I will be commenting below my progress and after finishing it the link and steps on how to watch. Thank you.
