A story to read when you fall in love, neechan no koibito,
Ahh it was Haji-koi yeah yeah I watched that too its great but not as drama intense as Chugakusei Nikki which isn't bad just a bit different in the delivery. Personally I found the neechan drama less emphasizing on the dramatic heavy drama and more on the inspiring side of things especially how its set on the present with the whole Covid 19 thing going on. Neechan was a drama to bolster Japan hopes is what I saw which lowered the dramatic scale of things, not that its bad but it just happens to be like that.
I initially though Nozomi did the shift to prove a point, as the loss of even her own values would make the people…
I get the emphasis on never doubt your values lesson because it never ends truly well as shown through our characters even Nozomi herself fell into the "bad adult" but that tonal shift wasted all that tension from the beginning and lessened the dramatic essence of the show up until the end. Don't get me wrong its still an 8/10 but it could have been a 10/10 with better execution and conclusions.
I initially though Nozomi did the shift to prove a point, as the loss of even her own values would make the people around him think how wrong they were in doing so which is why the personality shift would have been great if Nozomi planned it out from the start to make people hate her so much that they want to prove her wrong and then when things pan out like they wanted to they slowly start to realize how Nozomi was right all along to never compromise your values. While they start to realize their faults, Nozomi ends up getting into abrupt coma again and that's when everyone unites to wake her up again. That would have made the balance of the dramatic essence and the life lesson essence of the jdrama.
A story to read when you fall in love, neechan no koibito,
Watched neechan couple weeks ago and it was a fun watch but it lacked that heavier mood idk how to explain it. This and neechan are different kinds of drama I guess. Couldn't find the first you you reccomended tho
I have yet to find a jdrama to match the way this was done. Love the filter that they used to make things feel like a rainy gray afternoon. It echoes the gentle way their love happens really, also echoes how its not the best condition of time of day a rainy gloomy afternoon.
The ost is extremely well done in accordance to the mood this jdrama brings, the gentle piano notes to indicate certain kind of feelings is *chef's kiss.
Any reccomendations where any jdrama is like this where its much more at stake, heart pumping human yet likeable characters?
I initially wanted 2020's Tokyo Love Story to echo that but the characters at least 3/4th of the leads are so unlikeable and seem to have no deeper meaning of their feelings toward each other.
Chugakusei Nikki is like that, questionable characters, questionable decision but with human reasonable motives and insecurities AND still have likeable characters unlike Tokyo Love Story. Any reccomendations? Doesn't have to be similarly themed but I want the gravity of thungs and the way things are shot to be serious and lowkey somber. This jdrama feels like the dark knight movies amongst all the comic book type of batman movies
That's actually the case, yeah. For some reason Japan is more cruel towards female talents.Where did you read…
Case in point. Really unfair. Idk how the korean entertainment industry treats cases like this but if its less unfair, she could hit off another chance there if she choses to. She had a role in a korean tv series after all.

I mean she was pulled out of her projects meanwhile Higashide still has to be shown projects dating forward to dec this year he still has a role. Maybe those were filmed too late to be cancelled but still an inequality on that part.
The industry is extra cruel to female talents. Higashiro still has projects but she has been cancelled out of the industry for the foreseeable future. Ik cheating is an ass move to do but still...
