I personally think this drama is perfectly balanced in terms of romance/thriller. I love romance, so I miss it when it's a heavy thriller drama, and some may argue that there's tons of romance dramas with a side of thriller, but I haven't watched a 70% romance 30% thriller as well constructed as this one.

The thriller scenes may be fewer and the focus on romance more prominent (not really), but it's really really well written and it keeps us interested in both sides.

I'm really loving it and the actors are doing an amazing work.

Even though it's quite different, it has definitely occupied the hole Law School left in me.

I'm catching up on some late episodes and I'm still on the 8th, but it's amazing how all these characters are…
Just a comment on Jin Young: I love Jin Young the Idol, and I definitely see potential in him as an actor. I think after around the seventh episode his acting started to be more effective. At the beginning it's was a little difficult to understand the emotions he was trying to give and I thought of him as a little expressionless, but I definitely saw improvements.

I'm catching up on some late episodes and I'm still on the 8th, but it's amazing how all these characters are written and developed. Except for the money driven president, ministry of justice and those other two media idiots, every character has good and bad and are so intricate and confusing.

I think so far Elijah is one of my favorite characters.

I guess for people that haven't read the webtoon and doesn't get influenced by the comments of people who actually read it, and then just watch the drama comfortably and without expectations, the show is actually pretty good. I know a lot of people are against the romance aspect, but I don't think it overshadows the healing friendships that are the main focus. I actually quite like it.

Since the first drama I watched with Kim Dong Wook (Find Me In Your Memory) he reminds me of a older and more mature Jung Hae In. Not only on the appearance but something about him makes me think about JHI. Am I crazy??

I dislike Professor Cheon the most, he is such an asshole to his patients and super dismissive. Ik Sun is bothering…
I don't know why I got defensive hahaha sorry

I just want to be clear that it's a totally personal opinion, sometimes I just don't like a certain character. It's what we call here in Brazil "ranço". It's simply getting annoyed with someone/something for no particular reason, and you can't shake that feeling away even if you try. I dont know a English word that defines it

I didn't even consider him tbh. Of course he's the worst, but his character is made to be hated. I actually dislike the relationship between them (IS and JW). There's nothing wrong in her choice to pursue her education far away and for a long time, so the problem is not that, I just think that they are in different points in life. I feel like jun wan likes her a lot more than she likes him, even though she had to overcome a lot to be in a new relationship, and I also feel that in this moment he needs the companionship aspect of the relationship the most. It's like they were saying: he gets lonely easily. I think he's ready to have a serious and lasting relationship, to go home knowing she'll be there for him. And Ik Jun didn't lie, she did talk about herself a lot and didn't seemed so preoccupied with him, even though he could have opened up to her about his struggles and insecurities. I definitely don't think she's a bad person and although cliche I "understand" her reasoning, but she's just a character that I dislike.

I think it's valid for Jun Won to feel insecure, threatened and angry about Ik Sun not telling him that that friend of hers is male. Also, I saw some people comparing her having a male friend as harmless as Jun Won being close friends with Song Hear, and I disagree, honestly. Jun Won and Song Hwa has been friends for almost 20 years in a group of friends, not just the two of them, and Ik Sun knows about this relationship for years because of her brother, besides not knowing personally this friend of hers, it also a new friendship, so it's difficult for him to understand it as harmless.

A long distance relationship is already difficult, you making a friend who lives close by and you're always together to the point of even taking a trip together and never mentioning that this friend is a male is just wrong (in my point of view), specially given the cultural context.

Also, I'm not the type of person that believes a relationship is only strong if it has blind trust. I don't believe in blind trust. It's okay to doubt once in a while, we're all humans after all. But mainly, the problem is: Ik Sun not telling the friend is a male (if she goes on the "I didn't think it was a issue" or "I thought you trusted me" route, I'll officially have a problem with her") and the fact that while Jung Won knows and trusts Ik Sun, he doesn't know what type of person he is or what kind of intentions he seems to towards Ik Sun.

I'm actually feeling sorry towards Jung Won since the beginning of the season, he seems so down and there's so much time left to Ik Sun finish her doctorate, I hope he finds a way to keep happy 😊

(I'm not against Ik Sun going away to study - just to be clear. I'm a woman of science myself)

Why is it so cute watching attractive Korean man eating with a full mouth? I'm not embarrassed to say that I sometimes watch (and rewatch) compilations of BTS feeding each other and stuffing their faces, and Woo Yeo's mukbang in episode 10 really served hahaha

It's not like I REALLY ship them, but I have a weak spot for characters like Sun Woo (don't judge me) and I'm really liking the actor. I'm also watching "At a Distance, Spring is Green" where he is one of the main leads, and while in My Roommate is a Gumiho he is a inconsiderate rich kid, in the other one he plays a really poor hardworking kid. It's interesting seeing he playing the opposite.

I also really like Woo Yeo, but sometimes I find his smile a little creepy lol

oh lmao that's not jae jin
It's not him, but she reacted that way because even though they're really close, holding hands is not that normal between them

They are not brothers. Cha was his tutor when he was still in high school. They were close friends - seems like…
Also, Joo Ik always felt guilty because supposedly Hyun Gyu couldn't take the college entrance exam because Joo Ik gave him rice cakes that didn't sit well with him. Since the first time this was mentioned, I thought that Hyun Gyu was afraid he wouldn't pass the exams and used the rice cakes as an excuse (not surprising given his character), and watching episode 14 I'm even more suspicious about it.

The bungee jump scene really bothers me. While I was watching I kept thinking "there's no reason to convince her to do something she's scared of and that is completely unnecessary" but then he didn't actually convinced her, just picked her up and jumped, and for me that's even worse. There are fears in life that may be necessary to overcome, like if your dream is to be a singer and you're scared of public speaking or crowds, if you wish to live in a penthouse and is scared of small places like an elevator, but she has absolutely no reason to overcome a fear of heights let alone bungee jumping. I'm finishing episode 1 and it may be a little too soon to give any opinions, and while I understand that YJ is a different kind of male lead and it's supposed to be interesting, with his own traumas and such, he's pissing me off.

I also have a weak spot for characters such as Soon Hyun. Looking forward to the drama.
