At all. I don’t think he would make a great king character though. I love him and his roles since Night in paradise
Since he hasn't been in so many projects, yes, I agree with you that he should be in more mature romance or chaebol family productions, but Tae Goo has also been in historical productions and it actually suits him quite well. (He said he wants to be in a historical drama and I hope it happens soon). I look forward to seeing him in a project soon, no matter what era :)

Tae Goo is a character actor who can successfully portray any role, and he has proven it time and again. According to your statement, this person should never have been cast in a romantic comedy. Yet, those who found it absurd to associate Tae Goo with romantic comedies are now wishing for him to consistently choose romantic comedy or romantic drama projects. In short, if he were offered such a role, rest assured he would have portrayed a king perfectly.
Unfortunately the young child died, and despite the high schooler’s efforts to save him, he couldn’t succeed. :( If you look closely, you’ll notice that the child appears at the hospital in the same clothes he wore on the day of the accident. Moreover, recovering so quickly after such a major accident is medically impossible; he should have been in a coma too. Lastly, the fact that the child is standing alone in the hospital corridor, and the nurse doesn’t question this or ask about his family, already gives clues about the child’s fate.
It's been 1 year… We’ve had to live for a whole year without you Lee Sun Kyun 💔 I miss your deep voice, l miss your smile, l miss your laugh, l miss the way you walk, l miss acting. 🥺💔 l still miss you and l will always remember you 😢 rest in peace my beloved Sun Kyun 🫶🌹
but why could he not remember her at all in the inbetween tho? and I think the mother who couldn’t speak anymore…
he doesn't remember in the afterlife could be related to jiyoung's suicide or hyunmin was the most seriously injured in the accident he was supposed to die but jiyoung tried to keep him alive, maybe that's why he doesn't remember. Every action has good and bad consequences. The mother's story was very emotional but in the afterlife she reunited with her father and brought her daughter back to life. The mother and daughter always remembered each other, so no matter how emotional the mother's story was, it wasn't heavy for me.
hyunmin's memory loss was purely out of self defense..... his brain couldn't accept the heavy reality after waking up from a coma, the fact that he was the one who suffered the most from the accident... Hyunmin & Jiyoung story is have a most tragic ending in the drama😭🤧💔
Writer Kang-Ful Interview | Hyunmin can't remember Jiyoung, did he really love her? Writer Kang-Ful answers When asked whether Hyun-min (Uhm Tae-goo) truly loved Ji-young (Kim Seol-hyun), he answered, "I think a lot of people will be curious. The viewers will make a lot of guesses. It could be a slanted love, and Hyun-min was the one who suffered the biggest accident. I thought he might be different from other people because he saved her life by extending it with sewing. It could be a slanted love. But I didn't want to answer. The entire ending ends with curiosity about Ji-young. I thought I might be diminishing the fun. The actors were curious too, but I didn't answer. I thought they would think in their own way. It's hard to say that anything was wrong."
He continued, "That's why I'm grateful to Mr. Uhm Tae-Goo. Aren't the characters in our dramas experiencing pure and sad love? Rather, I think Hyun-min's choice and ending came down to reality. From Tae-goo's perspective, I think he might be like, 'What is this?' But he played that role so wonderfully. I don't think Hyun-min didn't love Ji-young. I think Hyun-min's decision to clean up his surroundings was a choice he made in order to survive. It must be the most realistic choice. Since his loved one died and he's suffering from delirium, we set up [Hyun-min] like that from the beginning. I'm grateful to actor Uhm Tae-goo for his excellent portrayal of a devastated character. I thought it would have become too fantasy if there was no character like Hyun-min."
Most people didn’t fully understand the story of Jiyoung and Hyunmin as a couple. Some even wrote that Hyunmin didn’t remember Jiyoung because he didn’t truly love her. Could that even be possible, for heaven’s sake? On the day he was going to propose he had an accident and fell into a coma. It’s impossible to say that this man didn’t love Jiyoung. Their deep love for each other and how sweet their relationship was were shown in the series even if their screen time was limited. Jiyoung had no one else in her life, and her only reason to live was Hyunmin. She couldn’t imagine a world without him, so she ended her own life. The reason Hyunmin didn’t remember Jiyoung in both the other world and the real world could be because Jiyoung not only ended own life but also brought Hyunmin back against his will. However, memory loss could never be caused by a lack of love or loving less.
Moreover, Jiyoung following Hyunmin even in the real world wasn’t to disturb him but because she missed him. Seolhyun also mentioned this in an interview.
I miss you everyday 🥺💔🤍 Rest In Peace my beloved Actor
