Yes I agree with Wtk call on out a being a “yes man” was very need it because he say he can’t say not cause he doesn’t want him or anyone else to get hurt. But all that’s doing is giving people hope and prolong in end for that person to get hurt when he could just avoid it all but learning how to turn people down. I know not everybody has a way with simpling just rejecting someone if you don’t like or want to do something because it can be hard. But it’s only gonna be harder in the end when comes down to you finally being fed up and can’t take anymore favors.

I feel the no relationship rule is for the coworkers to stop worrying about relationship and focus at the main thing at hand which is the company. Maybe he put that up there because he wants them to focus and work harder. Than always worrying about relationships. Who knows their could a reason the company was sold, maybe the company was failing and he just doesn’t want them to know yet because he doesn’t want to worry them.
