Imagine watching this and Shine on Me at the same time, I canāt help but compare the FLās acting lol. There are several scenes where I had to cover the FLās face on the screen because I was getting secondhand embarrassment š„²
MLās acting made this bearable to watch. I find Esther cute but her acting here didnāt just do it for me. I also agree with another comment that the editing is disjointed.
Reality. When I watched Queen of Tears, it felt like it was written by a different person, itās not at par with CLOY. Donāt even get me started with Lovely Runner & Twinkling Watermelon. Theyāre not bad but I donāt get the hype and really high ratings. Itās been a while since I enjoyed a kdrama, which is so sad because itās what has brought me comfort throughout the years.
I loved it. If you don't mind spoilers, read my review and also all the other positive reviews because you will…
Thank you for sharing your review! I didnāt read the whole thing but will definitely go back to it once Iām done watching. I also want to go in without any expectations but Iām pretty excited!
And let me just say that Iām not a huge fan of slow burn romance but THIS!!! THIS IS JUST š¤š¤š¤!!!
It does have a lot of romance thatās why Iām glad I wasnāt discouraged by the comments stating otherwise! Iām not even a fan of the leads but I still ended up loving it!
I am not being paid to say this but please for those of you who are not yet decided because you read in some of the comments that it lacks romance, DO NOT SKIP this drama. I was expecting that Iād eventually drop it because I mainly watch for romance and boy was I wrong!
LXās mom is so toxic. Itās already past the point where I can pity her for what she went through after losing her other daughter. I donāt understand how they can still tolerate her. Ming Yue & Tang Canās mom arenāt any better. He Mei, I guess redeemed herself but the misunderstandings couldāve been avoided.
It was an okay watch, 8+ for me. I mostly enjoyed it because of the actors. Not something Iād rewatch though unlike Reply 1988. I had high expectation but it wasnāt as heartwarming or funny as I expected it to be.
Now youāre all making me want to watch this. After The Last Immortal (which I loved, kill me lol), I started watching ShenLi but couldnāt get into it, I should probably switch to this and just go back to ShenLi. Some dramas are able to get your attention effortlessly and then there are those (like ShenLi for me, IMHO) that Iām having trouble focusing on.
Iām on ep 27 and I just wanted to say that I really had low expectations because of the comments. I love WAY and thought that this is one of those dramas that Iāll force myself to watch just because of the actors. I anticipated skipping some parts, which suprisingly I haven't done so far and that says a lot because I tend to skip even on wuxiaās that I rated fairly high. I hope this keeps upš¤
I donāt remember if this is my 3rd of 4th time watching but itās definitely my first time rewatching immediately after O&O and the 1st immediately had me crying lol. Iām so hormotional right now.
