start with the next morning where Tsubaki was trying to wake Nao who is getting undress (lmao) and introduce Nao to the kitchen crew. He assigned her to do the dishes but despite doing the lowest ranking job in the kitchen she is still happy and even resulting helping Jojima rinsing the red beans. While the kitchen seems busy preparing for Kisei festival tomorrow, Nao is trying to find regular customer who they had been serving before the incident happen. She purposely took order from a customer called Shirafuji in order to meet them and ask about what happen 15 years ago. Tsubaki was mad but was convinced by Nao and agreed to let her deliver the sweets to Shirafuji. The next day Shirafuji's owner was shocked to have seen the sweets delivered is covered with red coloring. Seeing the sight of red remind her of the blood she saw on Tsubaki's dad and she almost fainted , Tsubaki's come to the rescue as he been knew that she lied about taking order from Shirafuji. Shirafuji made it clear that they will not take order from Kougetsu-an again. Frighten Nao still wonder who messed her order meanwhile Tsubaki's confirmed he had call Shirafuji after they received the order and they never put any order from the shop. It doesn't matter to him that the order was messed up but he did feel upset that Nao lied to him and making them lose a very important customer. Ridden with guilt, Nao knows that what she did will also not benefit her since if Kogetsu-an keep losing customer , their business is at stake and she still yet to uncover the truth behind the 15 years old incident. Back at Kougetsu-an , Jojima was shocked to see a stress out Nao sipping tea at the kitchen. They bonded over the thoughts of being calm in the kitchen and Jojima deliberately spilled the beans that the matron(Tsubaki's mom) was seen with Shirafuji's order before Nao delivered it to them. Nao dashed her bedroom to see the matron is packing her bag and offered her money to get rid of Nao from the house. Nao insist that she will marry Tsubaki and will not leave until he tell him so. (this is the scene where the mom splash a freaking vase to Nao's face and insulted her relentlessly. At the same time Tsubaki is was given a hard time by his Grandpa who will later on reveal why he hated Tsubaki especially after Tsubaki's dad died. The mom chased Nao out of the house and while they both struggling , she accidentally throws Nao's thing to the lake. Much to the fuss, Tsubaki help get Nao out of the lake with a new order from Shirafuji. The order was made by the mystery man who claimed to be Nao's mom fan from episode 1. While it is not clear why he is helping her, he managed to persuade Shirafuji to try Nao's hand made sweet first. Nao is getting help from Tsubaki to make the famous Kougetsu red bean paste but somehow someone from the kitchen who was later reveal Tomioka, is getting order from the mom to make sure Nao cannot use the kitchen. Seeing this Tsubaki trying to persuade him but was dismiss since he is still deem not fit to run the kitchen and still an apprentice. They both ran into the grandmaster and this is when it is reveal that Tsubaki is not the real grandson and thus making him not the legit heir to the shop. Tsubaki mentioned that they had their manju recipe once stole by their apprentice and this is the major downturn of the shop that they had to make sure each heir is legitimate in order to inherit the shop. Nao went to the kitchen to made the red paste secretly after 10 pm and stumble upon Jojima. While they both bonded over being a red bean pals, Tomioka received a letter from the mom who is waiting from him in her room not knowing it was Tsubaki hiding in a pink kimono (lmao) . Tsubaki caught his thirsty ass and ask him whether he can get his kitchen back. Back to the kitchen, Jojima revealed he train himself at Koegetsu-an as a way for him to manage a confectionery shop that his family has back at his hometown. Nao realized that Jojima had red bean paste on his hair and while trying to take it out from his hair, Tsubaki barged in with the sheer amount of jealousy and warn Jojima that not to disturb his wife (lol) . Jojima excuse himself (as he should) leaving puzzled Nao with Tsubaki to continue making sweet . Assuming that Nao will leave now knowing that he is no longer the heir, Tsubaki question her motive once again, Nao reminisce into her past and said that red bean paste is her idol and she will not leave a customer just like that. Tsubaki wonders as to whether Nao's mom is someone who can make sweets like her, Nao quickly diminished his thought by saying that her mom just make the red bean paste at home. The next morning they managed to create a perfect red bean paste but to Tsubaki, Nao should make a red bean paste the way she wanted and to not follow Kougetsu-an recipe. She made the red bean paste using honey instead of sugar and impressed Tsubaki to the point he wanted to use her recipe instead. As they made the delivery to Shirafuji , the owner was moved by the original recipe of Kougetsu-an. As they walked home, much to Tsubaki's dismay that the fact Nao change the order last min, Nao explain to him that they should always provide the original familiar Kougetsu-an flavor instead of her own selfish idea. Tsubaki agreed to her point but is still mad as to why she didn't talk to him first. Nao ofc knowing that he will object and change the order secretly again. The argument settled just like that and somehow Tsubaki laughed at the idea of Shirafuji's owner looking forward to their wedding. He extend his hands to express she should hold it to give their fake relationship a try. The mystery man is back at Shirafuji as the Shirafuji's owner to prove that he is right about having Nao made the sweet. Nao propose the idea of Tsubaki talking directly to grandmaster about him taking ownership of the shop , distressed Tsubaki called her naive and walk away . Back at Kougetsu-an , grandmaster who looked contented at how Nao manage to get Shirafuji's back as their customer, invited her to eat dinner with the rest of the family. He intentionally instruct Tsubaki to bring sake to the dinner table while insulting Tsubaki's competency in handling the shop the way he wanted it to be. Nao defended Tsubaki's actions and said he treasure this shop as much as the grandmaster do. The grandmaster was deceived by her defense and her love to Tsubaki since they both still living in a separate room despite claiming that they will married. He was furious by the fact in the past 2 ladies was trying to get into Kougetsu-an and deceived the household. The first to be the matron who we already known gave birth to Tsubaki that is not fathered by the grandmaster's son. The second one is Nao's mom where he claimed to murder his own son. In the pit of rage , grandmaster intend to harm Nao by insisting that she will also do the same thing and pick something precious from him. Tsubaki grabbed the grandmaster and told him to not pick on his wife anymore as he will make sure they will start living under the same room from now on.He hugged Nao as a way to prove that they are together and bring Nao's to his room. Nao picked the rice that was thrown to her earlier on by the grandmaster and she respectfully as for his blessing .At Tsubaki's room, Nao eventually agreed that there is no use in making the grandmaster understand Tsubaki's intention regarding the shop, she apologized for being inconsiderate and Tsubaki hugged her again as a way for being grateful for her defending him during the dinner. Nao was fluttered , pushed him away and said the grandmaster is not here so there is no need for them to act. As they laid down on Tsubaki's room, Tsubaki revealed that he once had a childhood friend named Sakura since Nao's name is similar to Sakura in a meaning. Nao asked what was Sakura liked, and Tsubaki spoke in a way that he still treasure and misses Sakura's company. He took Nao's hand and brings up how someone with Apollo line hand will somehow change him. He figured out he will just used her in a way how many other wanted to use him to get their family's name but yet he is surprise as how determine she is to stay by his side. As he thought there is something wrong with her, Nao is filled with the happy memories she had once with Tsubaki when they were a kid. She knows by her heart that she will not result to something as foolish as to like the present Tsubaki but at the end of the thought she embraced Tsubaki from behind and accept that Tsubaki did indeed change something inside her and well they start making out. In another room, we are faced with the mom who had instructed someone to look into Nao's identity and discovered that she was living with a different name and the daughter of the woman who was accused of murdering her husband. Cut to the lovers love making session (lol), Nao asked Tsubaki if Sakura appear now what will he do? Much to her and everyone surprised, determined Tsubaki will make sure she disappear from his life forever. (it is said that later on in manga Tsubaki discovered something vital regarding his dad that make him despises both Sakura and her mom)

Edit : forgot to add that Shiori (Tsubaki's ex fiancee) appeared in this ep where she was seen being scolded by her dad for not being able to move on from Tsubaki. Also during there is one scenen where the grandmaster asked Tsubaki whether he had found the 'girl' which I assume to have been the real heir of Kougetsu-an.

Oh yes i forgot we read it by volume. Since theres only 8 ep ,will it finish by volume 8? I heard they will do a spin off just for the mom. Kinda interesting since there's a lot to uncover the mom's backstory or at least motive

Not gonna lie i lower my expectation to the lowest since i saw about is love. 6 ep into it and i think its not that cringey ? There so many plot holes but its not that bad that i can still look forward to the next ep
