ignore the negative comments or reviews. this drama is good. for a republican genre at least the ML is green flag and the FL is smart and strong. pretty straight forward plot with good kissing scenes

the plot is ridiculously entertaining with bad cgi but somehow it did make me laugh out loud a few times

the end of the first season show how Sui Zhi realizing the sweet truth of finally able to accept someone in his heart and then by the start of season 2 we can see that Mu Dan also strongly feel the same way. It's the kind of slow burn romance if you disregard the annoying ex husband and the tyrant villain

not sure why the hate for this drama, apart from the beautiful cinematography and costumes , this drama has the best relationship dynamic I've ever seen in wuxia. Usually the main leads will start of as enemy/ strangers/acquaintances and then straight to romantic partner but this show careful build their character from rich merchant + manager to husband + wife in a way that is always describe in any modern drama. The way that they trust eo as a friends and their unwavering loyalty it what makes they fall in love with eo. The plot revolved around them is just one of the many ways to either test their relationship or strengthen it. That is how I see it, I wish we all could have the luxury to have such understanding partners irl, then you will deff can appreciate Sui Zhi and Mu Dan love story

this is stupidly entertaining 😂if you just like watching nonsensical short drama, try this

kinda good production value for a short drama. cinematography is decent enough it feels like watching full length drama and also the cast did well with their characters even the annoying ones

also the actor who played 3rd and 4th prince is so similar , best sibling cast i ever encountered my entire life lol , i hope they will act in another drama again together

those who are looking for plot driven wuxia, this is must watch. I spent 3 days binge watching the entire thing and I can say that the cast is full visuals and talented. Even the supporting actors delivered their job well, every one can act and no cringe corny ass line delivery. I would love it more if they preserve the ending to develop like a extra story to our main couple(coughhavingkidscough). I would give a 8/10, one of the best wuxia this year after legend of zhang hai, in terms of cinematography and story telling wise

PS : the age gap romance kinda threw me off but kudos to both actors for playing it well
