I just wanna say that RenMin is a great actress for her generation, unfortunately she is not a good voice actor for her own dub. Whenever she speaks, I could not match her tone with her expressions and it does leave the acting and the situations they are acting out to be awkward for us viewers. I hope she and her team sees this comment and take it as a way to improve her voice acting in the future. No harm is meant from my end, I do love her previous works and I freaking enjoy watching this drama so far (currently in ep 7)

Can someone brief me about the dynamic between ML &FL? I haven't started yet, waiting for the show to end to binge so I want to understand does it feels weird for FL when ML started to show interest on her since he already know that she was not his sibling? Also when will FL know about the truth of her birth dad?
This drama should be title old men being outcunt by a bandit boy cuz all those cat and dog chasing leading to a civil war for no reason. I could never be this patriotic lmao. But I like how detail the storyline is eventho i skip like half of the episode. And how FL compliments ML cuz they both are smart enough to plot together and work with eo to devil the evil old men. Aside from the propaganda agenda, this could be a good drama if they at least give ML & FL proper wedding after all that. Drama is plot ridden not centered around romance , 8/10 for keeping me entertained throughout my unemployment days
The drama the pace and the acting is all good except for below trope from typical cdrama:
- A tsudere aloof ML and quirky FL : the thing about ML is he acting like a emo teen but he is smart enough to explain his reasoning to the quirky FL that eventually learn a lot from him. But i still think they could've write their character better - Abusive Ex : idk why we need to put a problematic man just to give a character development for a woman - Typical parents forcing their child to get married : this still happen in real life unfortunately and it's giving me ptsd just to watch it - A red flag blind date : when the girl clearly express disinterest on the date but the man still continue gaslighting downplaying her ability to navigate the world on her own - A strong independent woman envying other woman for a man : it's sad cuz I know you a worth more than a man u been chasing since college. One sided love is always pathetic regardless the gender
**UPDATE: I finished the drama, I would say compare to other modern cdrama that I watched , this is less corny than the other drama as the characters always overcome their difficulties by reflecting and communicating clearly with eo at the end of the day. Could get a solid 9/10 for me if they gave us more realistic kissing scene **

this drama is way underrated , the acting the chemistry the aesthetic is 10/10. for a short drama this is one of the best that i have watched so far and the comedic timing was properly done by each of the actors there isn't any cringe worthy moment from the comedy and all the lovey dovey scenes is sweet (coming from a person who will skip it cuz i can't fathom people in love) and there's tons of kisses that will give you butterflies. the last two episodes made me cry cuz the entire family loves and cherish FL , i highly recommend people to watch this , best wuxia romcom of the year!
