I am only at mid episode 1 so I can't say anything about the plot, but I can't help comment on how disturbing the portrayal of the eunuchs is here. Don't get me wrong, I've nothing against gays but why are the eunuchs portrayed as gays here? Historically, they are not. The fact that they were castrated should not have been made to equate to them being effeminate, at the very least.

Exactly how I felt. She's stupidity incarnate. I dropped this after 2 eps, I honestly could not take her, then there's the mother too. She's just over the top too much.

I couldn't stand Irene's stupidity. For someone who's supposed to be smart, she's quite brainless. Everytime she came onscreen I felt stressed and I could not go on with the torture. Dropped this after ep 2.
