I don't like Filipino dramas, but this one peaked my interest because I came across the theme song in an Instagram video and I couldn't get it out of my head.
Now I'm glad I followed the song. This series was like a combination of Mean Girls, Boys Over Flowers and Another Cinderella Story. Basically a melting pot of all the teen, rom coms you can think of. And it was GOOD.
Max was the character that I wanted for the BOF drama. I really liked her. She was a tough cookie that fought back. The chemistry between her and Deib were great. The side characters and the friends were awesome too. Couple in your bitchy villains, a sprinkle of great comedy and some heartwarming moments and you got yourself a very well played out teenaged rom com. I liked this one.
Damn, Leo must be EXHAUSTED dealing with all this, because me as a viewer am. I don't know if I missed it, but did no one ever consider therapy for Fiat? Poor guy. Now his mom is all "Norman Bates/Psycho" style.
This was honestly the greatest thing I've seen. The leads were awesome along with the best friend. Loved the comedy, chemistry and the romance and kisses were on point. I didn't want it to end. Although it was short, the story still flowed really well. Highly recommend if you're a rom com junkie.
These two were like Barry and Iris from The Flash, fucking up the timeline like nobody's business. This show was honestly really stupid and it just seemed like they were making up more shit as they go with the time travel thing. But I did enjoy the plot twist when it got dark and it did kept me interested, so it achieved its goal. The cops were incompetent as hell and the kiss was whack. And that got damn perfume that popped up in almost every scene.
Does FL like ML first or other way around? and are there any secondary couples?
ML secretly liked FL, so he "bought" her love which caused FL to like him for a month. Not really to any secondary couples, but ML's best friend also bought some love too that caused a mishap, which gave us a few boy love moments between them. But I would say the best friends of the leads would be the secondary couple. Honestly, don't waste your time. Wayne Song was the only saving grace of this drama, but everything else was a mess.
I wonder if it hurt Namgoong Min, when he CARRIED THIS ENTIRE SHOW ON HIS BACK!!! I love his acting. He can go from a clueless, lovable idiot, to this scary, badass fighter with the flip of a switch. I mean the other actors and actresses did really well here too. I especially loved the kid actors, but Lee Chung Ah was wasted. I was hoping she would've had a more prominent role and they would've done like some Wonder Twin Power activate type thing and just destroyed everything, but meh. She just reminded me of an emotionless robot, but I guess that was supposed to be how her character was to be portrayed. There were SO many villains too, they were all coming out of the woodwork. The ending was alright too. There was no romance, just teamwork and friendship.
But yea, this had action, mystery and it's definitely missing the comedy tag, because Min's character was just nuts. I mean, if you like X-men or The Gifted, try this one.
Lmao! I swear with these BLs the side couples always end up stealing the shows for me. Leon and Pob are just too lovable with their CAT!! Yep, that's Leon's cat now too.
It was pretty meh. Best thing about this episode was Santa. I liked him. I was waiting for someone to beat the hell out of Oreo's character though. Give Earth an easy going BL for once.
