I'm Team Shin Woo all the way, but this show is refusing to give us a hint as to who TG will end up with and I love that about it. I love having to keep guessing. Each episode is leading towards one of them, but just isn't giving us a definite ship. It could definitely go either way. This has gotta be the calmest love triangle I've ever seen.
Namgung stays being the best boy. Love him so much.
I'm kind of mad at myself for going into this without reading the synopsis first. I was expecting a half hour of Yu Zhen and Shi Lei being cute from what we missed in the series, but again, it focused on the ex and what led up to the prank. They could've made episode 11 a 40 minute episode and just added this, to be honest and just give us the special we deserve.
It was a pretty good remake. It was funny, the characters were all likable and it pretty much followed the original, even though some scenes were better in the original like the break up scene & although the proposal scene was pretty cool here, the ORIGINAL WAS SO MUCH BETTER BECAUSE OF THE DANCING PROPOSAL!!!!!!! That was the funniest thing I've ever seen. I was so miffed that they changed that. This one had more development with all the characters and scenes. Edan and Anson did a really good job with their characters. The Chief was a giant teddy bear here and was better here than the original. I was actually fine with whoever Tin ended up here with.
I've never understood the logic of k-drama female villains. Especially when they're going after the same male lead. Their logic is like, "let me hurt the guy I like. He will then leave my rival and come to me." Um, no, that's not how it works. Sohee seriously does not deserve Namgoong if they end up pairing.
Ahh, Wayne Song. Also that cameo call back was from a drama they stared in together called Swimming Battle, where they were on the swim team. Came across it when I was going down a Wayne Song rabbit hole.
Argh this series was seriously frustrating and it's over. Good. It wasn't bad, but I wanted to throat punch the leads the entire time I was watching it. Yay for that ending, but it was rushed and felt as bland as unseasoned chicken. The second couple were the saving grace of this drama. (who were pretty much the leads in my opinion) But I got a shirtless Aaron Lai scene, so fuck it. It looks like there could be a set up for either a special or a season two.
Has anyone who could use WeTV before, been geo blocked by WeTV as of late? I usually got to use the app without a VPN in my country, but as of Monday, all the videos stopped playing due to copyrights. :/
This just turned into a whole soap opera. But Bank & Pitch, hah, I love them so much.
First let me just get my fangirling out of the way. Seung Heon is just too adorable for words!!!!! I love his cheeky smile. (He reminds me of what Mark Lee from NCT would look like when he gets older.) I've only ever seen Ji Hye in CLOY and I thought her acting was so wooden there, so I was pleasantly surprised by her here. She's fantastic as a comedic actress. I love how they keep type casting Ye Ji Won as an eccentric, badass female, who always ends up in really weird relationships. She's great for those crazy, funny roles. Park Ho San is devilishly handsome. Those suits and that laughhhh. I hope that's his real laugh and not made for this series because it was just too funny. XD!!!!!
Okay that's out of the way, first, there were like a bunch of CLOY call backs and that first 10 mins of the first episode made me not feel bad about how Ji Hye's character over there story ended. This started off really light and funny watching two people go on food adventures, who then pretty much end up liking each other, then it just got heavy in the final stretch. A good thing they kept mixing some comedy in-between. This should've been called "THE RETURN OF THE PSYCHO EXES." This series went full on Lifetime TV movie. The ex boyfriend was off his rocker and the ex girlfriend was just plain annoyingly selfish.
They focused way too long on their arcs. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE in this drama had issues, be it serious or funny. The second older couple were cute & very funny too. I loved them.
The show then started to get really sad with Hae Kyung's issue with his mom, then dark with the ex boyfriend's arc. You don't really feel bad for the ex, but you kind of start pitying him in the end. The ex girlfriend stays annoying, so bah at her. The other supporting characters were likeable and they were so many funny moments on this show.
In conclusion, I enjoyed it, it was a drama about healing, self worth, abandonment issues & moving on, while tackling mental health issues, while still at the same time, getting in a good laugh. Give it a shot.
I mean, if I had one of the guys each from AB6IX, Golden Child, VICTON & PENTAGON vying for my attention, I would be losing my collective shit too trying to figure out who to pick.
Well that was mildly depressing, but it seemed like maybe a reconciliation there at the end. That or they just went back to being only friends, or they'll just be stuck in an endless loop.
This has gotta be the calmest love triangle I've ever seen.

This was nice & heartwarming.
I low key wanted Haruto and Momochi to be a thing though.
