Mom is memory manipulation/hypnosis/psychic commands. Dad looks like he's just a really skilled fighter with enhanced strength and endurance. Grandpa was just a regular guy that could also hold his own in a fight since it was shown that he was one of the henchmen that helped captured the children and ended up joining the family. Son is a genius computer whiz, skilled fighter because of the Dad and plain crazy (lol) Daughter is a skilled fighter. Her special ability is when she blanks out/eyes rolled back she becomes a crazed fighter that wouldn't stop until the person is dead. The flashes of light is what triggers her. Mom cut her hand because drawing blood is what calms her down. That's why Mom used the daughter's hand to draw her blood with the glass. The twin brother also has the ability to calm her down by just well, telling her to stop and holding her back. But it seems like the twins abilities haven't fully awakened. They were trained from kids by Mother that was capturing them. (All of this was explained in all the flashbacks they had). As Mom said in the explanation episode, (ep 3) they were Fixers that the government used to get rid of people. Mom pretty much manipulated 11's brain so he's just a complacent meat sac like how she did with the serial killer and the Deaconness, so he's off to jail.
Forgot to add, she just manipulated the Dad to always protect her no matter what, but yes, he genuinely loved her which is proven from the flashback where he gave her the flower (before the brain wash) and said when they got away he would give her a real hair pin and it's shown he had the real hair pin, saving it for her. No they can't heal themselves, you literally saw them in the final episode all bloody and beat up.
11 wanted to be like 10 so he just found random girls from off the street and trained them to be fighters. That's all they pretty much were, fighters. Just the Mom had the mind powers, so she was extra special as a child.

Loved the blood, gore and humor in this. Appa aka Frank from Moving was funny!
Season two needs to focus on the backstories of when they were kids and just leading back up to the present day with what I'm assuming is going to be a showdown with Mother.
I had so much fun watching this. Haruta had me dying. Maki was Maki and it was great seeing the old cast and a couple of new ones, but Chief and Haruta were it for me. Maki vs Kurosawa beef will never get old. "Give me back my tears, ya Geezer!" 😂
Great show! A BL that had a proper beginning, middle and end and a redemption arc that actually worked. They usually half ass those and expect all to be forgiven. But they made Ming sufffeerrrr and then worked for Joe. Good job.
Only one I didn't want was Tong's. Fuck him.
Anyways, now when Joe gets mad he can pull the "I died twice for you" card and get a foot rub or PS5 or whatever.
My favorite thing about this drama was either Joe or Poom and his skinship. I dunno if it was the script or if Poom is just a natural proper hugger, but he was legit affectionate with everyone!
Like in most BLs, when they hug the moms, they always skimp on the affection and just give them little pats or rubs, but when Joe went to hug his Mom, he always gave her such big hugs!!!
Same with Wut, Sol and Ming. He gave them hugs!!!
Now Ming, hate his guts, but watching him go through hell all those years, gave me joy.
Still hate his guts, but only a little bit.
This show didn't drag, they told the story really well, they wrapped up everything and the acting from everyone was actually great.
Also, I didn't even realize that was Inntouch from My Engineer til close to the end. Remember when he was like 5ft tall? 😂
Meh, didn't like this. It was on as background noise while I decorated the tree. It was like watching the show on fast forward since they tried to pack everything in 20 mins.
Shoma seemed like the only one into his role, it lacked the passion and some of the emotion the Thai version had.
Only thing I liked was that they changed Arashi seducing Rei in the car instead of the bathroom. Always thought that was gross.
They didn't make Kai as sassy, but acting wise he was better than the Sky version. I liked the first couple in the Thai version, but like the 2nd couple more here.
But for someone who'd never seen the Thai version, they might like this one.
and why is everything black end white in the last few episodes and not at the beginning?
It's black and white because we finally learned what the place represented and the souls weren't aware yet that they were dying. They still thought they were alive.
I think we were seeing it from the souls perspective once they became aware, where everything was dark, and they were trying to find the light at the end of the tunnel, aka the light shop. If you remember in previous episodes, a lot of the souls lights were dimming, which meant they were on the brink of death and realization.
For example, the woman whose mom was shadowing her. Her light went out in her apartment because it seemed like she was giving up on life. That's why her mother is trying to get her out of the apartment to get to the light shop so she can find her light and wake up.
The teen and her mom, the mom died, so that's why her light went out and she keeps sending the daughter to buy bulbs. That was her trying to give the daughter hope and to find her own light to wake up.
The cop's lighter wouldn't light because he was also slowly dying and he too became aware then that it was the afterlife and not the real world, so he was finally seeing it dark, until his bulb started to slowly light up for him to wake up. Same with the kid with the basketball. He kept walking past the light shop because couldn't see the light yet or had the will to live.

It wasn't bad. I loved the main couple and the assistants. The story hit a slump for me at 12, then picked back up later on. The last episode was pretty much anti climatic because it was obvious he would be back.
They met for 5 secs and in the next scene, he's the love of his life. 😂 Then everything went left when the boss got involved and it was just WTF after that. Because dude could've sent a text!
But this would HIT if it was a full length with the same actors as leads.
The chemistry was strong with all the eye f*king these two did and then the most intense hug ever!!!!
