Completely true! But I'm positively sure that there aren't many people in the world who see them as actors and actresses, but rather as their entertaining characters in an act. Although it's good to know that people like you exist who care about their reality, others wont give a damn about whether Kai wears his tie upside down or Bai Lu's singing is terrifying (Meta). Their perspective of them both as a combo is pretty hard to get over with. An industries objective is to attract it's audience's attention and get them to fascinate it, you'll know that if you know business. After all, at the end of the day, Acting is just another industry for people making money and get a good life. My viewpoint is that if success in their careers is their objective, then clearly the dramas they acted in together were their Major hits. The act of separating them after putting them together in the first place was a major drawback of Yu Zheng, using Bai Lu for profiting thru deception. What happens next? The 2 actors start harbouring each other and end up in a tangle, and we never get to see them together again. Just saying, if separating becomes their objective and a leeway to success, you think people will watch their films and give positive reviews just to support them? I think no, there aren't many stupid enough to watch what they have no interest in. From what i see, it will be hard for them to get together in a film later as well as they don't seem to be on good terms if you look at the current circumstances. . But i don't know everything, just my humble opinion based on experience, what they do in their life can't be changed by me and you or anyone, it theirs to decide. If they prosper, good for them. If they fall, well, life has it's ups and downs.

Of course they don't have to be in the same Drama, but for some reasons it's hard for me to find movies appealing when two stars have already starred in a "Major" film together with great success (especially Bai and Xu, as they have two major hits), and then take different ways with other actors. Coz although movies are all acting, but the audience usually gets more submerged into it that it seems like a reality. I'm done watching The Legends and AMA, but i just don't have any enthusiasm in me to watch the other movies that they act in individually, just wrecks the picture that i have embedded in my mind currently. Something like i got used to them both acting together as leads. However, i know that an acting life is a difficult one indeed, always getting fired at by notorious fans, trying their best to destroy relationships, picking on minute details and turning them into .10 magnitudes.
