How do these Asian relationships, devoid of any meaningful physical intimacy, grow so deep? This is not just aimed at this drama, but it happens in most Korean and Chinese dramas. I'd just like to know what I'm missing, if anyone cares to chime in. Thanks!
After 21 episodes, Xu Qin's mother summed it up for me: "Don't you have any self-respect? With so many conflicts between our families, how can you still like Qin Qin?"
I don't understand this love after being made to feel so worthless. Because of that, I struggle to appreciate the need for reconciliation and the will to keep watching and looking forward to it.
What are they doing with this? This should have been released in full or in 2 parts because it is all over the place! I really, really wish that they didn't have Han Tae Oh pair up with Kang In Ha's 'girlfriend' Na Hye Won! Apart from the fact that the pacing and content of the series so far gave no strong basis for it, there was no chemistry! The whole story is messy. At this stage, we need some background as to WHY HTO needed to involve himself in KIH's life. HTO is wrong for moving on NHW, especially after KIH asked him if he was interested in her first, before he got with her - Ep. 1 - 40.21 mins in.
"physically and mentally abused him"?You are exaggerating. She did well as a single mother raising her son. She…
She was actually physically and verbally abusive. Abuse is abuse. She could have gotten her point across in so many ways without treating her son like that.
Her son made the choices he did because of his upbringing.
She thought she made him into a kind-hearted prosecutor who would help the less fortunate but rather turned him into a cold-hearted revenge-seeking young man.
She was even horrible to Mi Joo after her son couldn't take the college entrance exam.
As the title suggests, she was a bad mother with good intentions who hopefully (fingers crossed) will turn good in the end.
As you said her character arrouses hate or love so it's normal for some one to come out and call out those who…
Those are probably people who started watching this from the beginning at 2 episodes a week. Because I binge-watched the 6 episodes, I had the opportunity to see her move from really bad to somewhat good.
I like the way she was there for her son from the moment he had the accident. She was determined to have him live, and her strong will is what is helping him get better. Granted he had no friends or meaningful relationships due to his upbringing, but his mum has been there for him since the accident and we have seen a different side to her.
I hope this doesn't end up as one of those dramas where he just suddenly and magically one moment regains all…
To be honest, I would not mind that so much because I have been touched by her love for her son after the accident, plus she has apologised. Remember he wouldn't eat when he came home after the accident until she apologised when he kept reciting what she used to say to him about eating when he was younger.
This is why it is usually best to leave successful season 1's alone. We were all happy with the way season 1 ended and would have maintained that it was one of the best BLs out there. This season 2 has left us with all sorts of unpleasant emotions of disappointment, confusion and shock to name a few, and is at risk of spoiling the feelings and thoughts we had for season 1!

Struggled with the first few episodes, got into it after episode 6
