The scriptwriters did it intentionally to emphasize Ken is bilingual and it explains to Thai viewers (doubt they care but still) why he has an accent. Since Perth also speaks Japanese, maybe he'll throw that language in too at some point
Finished 11 episodes so far. Go ahead and give me spoilers on any side couples. Does Gao Zheng end up in a romance with the Tea house owner? (I hope not but I get this feeling...)
He’s not flamboyant because he’s gay... Clearly his brothers and other characters in the series are gay/bi…
Because he was kidnapped as a child and traumatized and hasnt really matured past that age. He's spoiled, demanding, childish, irrational, easily distracted, petulant and overly dramatic. Just like a lot of kids.
End of 1st ep:Not nearly as bad as it could have been. So far it's never been a good idea when a BL pretends to…
Of course it's got tropes. Its a BL. I don't think Porchays tuition is overly expensive. Even a lower cost high school or university tuition would still be daunting if in debt and one person is most responsible to pay all bills.
The main director of this series has directed some famous Thai action movies so his style has carried over.
Mile is a new actor so of course he will not be as good as Apo. But I dont care, I love him! Mile is primarily a musician and singer. And the inspiration for the author when she wrote Kinns character in the KP book. I bet she never imagined years later he'd actually be playing Kinn in thr series!
does anyone know why they changed gameplay and green?
I was under the impression that BOC recast some roles because they wanted different actors who they felt more fit their vision of the characters based on the story they wanted to tell.
The Filmania version made Big a very minor character. The actor wasnt even featured in their cast promos. Instead they were going to concentrate a lot more on Kinns ex and his brother and the trouble they cause - the brother was the role that Perth Nakhun was originally cast to play.
Big was promoted to a bigger role so a new actor was cast. The ex and his brother storyline was minimized (and possibly cut out) so Perth was let go but then BOC turned around and wrote a role for him - Ken the bodyguard.
I wanted to start the show, but after reading the comments i'm not so sure 🤣
Give it a try. Yes its slower paced. And Mon at first seems like a depressed jerk. The two leads are introverted, tenative type people. But there is character growth, the friends are good people, there are laugh out loud funny moments (to me), so far no jealous scheming exes, or tropey evil women, or screaming fujoshis every time a guy walks by with another guy. Parents are nice (or at least relatable with their bickering and embarrassing their kids).
Well the cinematography is done by the same person who did I told Sunset about You which is a series lauded for their cinematography.
This is a totally different story than ITSAY so cinematography should be adjusted. I think it's quite good. More moody and less saturated than shown in the original Filmania trailer (which I also really liked). Different production company, different visual look.
As for action or fighting scenes. To each his own. The main director is famous in Thailand for his action movies and so, its choreographed to Thai taste.
1) well the first trailer is from a different company of course there would be some changes the cast said that…
The first "trailer" as you call it, isn't an official trailer but an official teaser. It was filmed by Filmania production company to generate interest and get sponsors who would pay to film the series. Thailand does it differently. They release a teaser, then film the actual series, then release the official trailer then release the series.
Since Filmania went out of business and didn't film the series, Be On Cloud bought the story rights. They filmed and aired their versions of teasers to generate interest and secure sponsors. They then started filming the series and released the official trailer.
You can be disappointed that Be On Cloud didn't keep everything that Filmania set up but considering many people walked out because Filmania wasn't paying them (including the writers), why would Be On Cloud want to associate with something so negative?
Do you think So's mom would be teasing and shipping her son with Mon if So was dying? Wouldn't she know how hurtful that type of teasing could be to someone who knows they won't live long so might not properly experience love? We saw that shes a loving mother. I also can't see her jetsetting all over without a care leaving her child alone for long periods of time if he's seriously ill. Now maybe I'll be wrong and he is terminal. But BL lovers don't like unhappy endings so I think it wont be that way.
Is neither version on IQIYI acceptable? Yes, you have to be VIP to get the uncut version but the free version is available also for international viewers.
I enjoyed all your comments about my comment. At least I got your attention. I guess my definition of what a good…
BLs are stories where romance is the main theme. Since there are so many romantic couples in this series and how their relationships start and progress, it looks like a BL. Now it might not stay that way if the mafia part takes over. BLs can be violent. If you prefer a happy, fluffy BL, that's fine. We all like what we like. But to assume its not a BL because of dark or violent elements isn't correct.
I'm reading the comments and I don't understand. I know we were all waiting for this drama to come but did you…
I thought it was good. First off, money was spent on the production. The story is about a rich crime family so it was good to see their wealth by the clothes they wore, the cars they drove in and the house they live in.
I don't expect realism in thrillers when it comes to fight scenes. But these were choreographed well with not too much cringe.
Sure it was silly how Kinn and Porsche met and how Porsche beat 5 guys single handedly. But if I want realism I'd watch a documentary. For entertainment purposes, it delivered.
I expect Kinn only brought one bodyguard because he did not expect the Mafia family to attack him. I thought it was stupid for him to leave his car but he possibly felt they had more opportunities to escape that way.
I loved how the relationship between Porsche and Chay was portrayed. It really demonstrated how much both his brother and the house the grew up in means to him. It totally sets up a realistic reason why someone would end up doing something they never thought they would if its to protect a loved one.
It's rated 20+ so there's really no way to air it on YouTube
It has not been officially rated yet per a release by Be On Cloud. We know its 18+ at least but a 20+ rating scares sponsors and affects airing times so to advertise it as such when it's not official can damage the series.
Since Perth also speaks Japanese, maybe he'll throw that language in too at some point

The MV is on YT and its kinda sexy

Recasts also allowed BOC to use their own actors.

The Italian actors were cringe for sure.
