I don't think he cared for CK too. He wanted to manipulate and use CK for his agenda. He is not strong anymore since CH died because MinYue's powers he absorbed are all gone. The heavenly realm needs someone like CK as God of War.

I thought at the moment HX absorbed all her powers, she was vanished. Maybe let's see how it goes in next episode.
