Regarding the Guilin thing, he uses the word 'coincidence' but isn't it fate? First met in Guilin, filming reality show about food then 2nd meeting in Guilin also filming around food? Even he mentions that it's such a 'coincidence'. TJC is also someone who believes in Fate. He has talked about his work and fame before and says his outlook on it is 'If it's meant to be, it will be. If not he will not push it or be sad about not getting it'. If you think about it, LMLMV is also about Fate and coincidence. He hears her voice, falls in love. She hears his voice, falls in love. There are scenes in the drama where they just miss each other (At the restaurant, bus stop, convenience store where they first meet but don't know it's each other) and could have met but fate had other plans first. You're right, people who are really close are more comfortable showing all of their emotions to each other, including the not so nice ones. When my husband and I fight, it's not a pretty sight. LOL.
Agree with what you both have observed but also noticed when ZY was asked what it was like working with TJC, he said to her very seriously 'Speak nicely', it surprised me as he looked very stern. He does like to bring up how much of a coincidence it is that they first met at Guilin when filming 'Chinese restaurant' and then now filming this drama again at the same place and also around food. To be honest, I liked the novel but some of the actions from the male lead were too pushy for my liking. I read it in english so somethings may not have been conveyed quite right. It is easy to miss the nuances when translating from one language to the other. I very muuch prefer the Drama version and am enjoying it very much.

Seen 2 interviews for this show and she seems to blurr the lines between The Character 'MoQingCheng' and 'Tan Jianci' in her responses. The questions asked are referring to his character in the drama but she slips up and refers to 'When Tan JianCi walks in etc...' When asked what meal best represents his Character, she picks Lousifan, Tan Jianci's favourite dish, not the characters.
I honestly thought it would be a 24 episode drama since they got together so quickly. But we have 33 episodes!?
I think they will also spend time developing the other couples. There are still a number of notable scenes from the novel that have not appeared. They have definitely added more scenes of them getting to know each other in the drama adaptation. The relationship develops a bit too quickly in the novel for me and seems a bit too superficial (Focusses too much on loving the voice only and not taking real life values and stuff into consideration). Also the novel is written from 'Her' perspective so is quite limited with it's content. The drama has definitley expanded on that to provide a better overall story.

I have read the english translation of the novel and don't remember him 'Tracking' her in person. I definitely think he was 'Following' her online movements, aka her ShengShengMan Weibo and stuff. Much like how she is a die hard fan and knows 'Everything' about him, it gets revealed later that he is a die hard fan of hers. The novel is written from her perspective so it doesn't ever go into what he was thinking when he met her.

Agree! Loving the extra scenes in the drama already, adds more depth to their relationship. The extra scenes in her family store are nice. Especially the one where her demo song is played and you can see adoration on his face instantly!
