All the girls in this show deserve better! I love Chansol and Bareum but the rest were ick. Even the way Bareum moved on from hanui because she lied as if that isn't the whole premise of the show and forgetting that he himself has a lie. I was literally jumping when Hanuel didn't pick neither guy, cause good for her!! She deserves better than being these two jerks second choice. As for my girl Daon, I felt so bad for her. IMO she's just very bad at expressing her true feelings, I realized that she tends to get defensive when she's hurt and the way the guys kept blaming her was ridiculous, they made her feel like it was her fault that she kept attracting other guys attention. I think I truly understood her when she talked to bareum and said "they just won't listen to me". It seems like she has a hard time conveying what she wants to say and when she does try she messes up and the guys won't listen to her side or try to understand her. Bareum telling her that its not her fault made me appreciate him so much. Hanu and taeyang are truly selfish. The way hanu and taeyang acted with daon compared to hanuel really shows how they wronged daon and proves that they don't actually like hanuel. BOTH were so possessive of daon, acting like she was theirs already and expected her to show interest in only them while they explore other girls. Hanu wanted to date all 5 girls but in his mind daon can't do the same and the way taeyang got jealous even though daon isn't his yet just to not wake her up LOL I feel like pretty girls like daon always gets hated on but I actually understood her because the guys put her in such awkward and humiliating positions all the time. Its time to stop blaming pretty girls for attracting attention and start calling out guys' shallow and entitled behaviors. After that they both moved on to hanuel SO FAST, its crazy. All of a sudden these people just moved on to new people it was funny. You can see how hanu and taeyang just kind of joked about fighting over hanuel when we saw how possessive they were over daon, the difference makes it so unfair that they treated daon like that. As much as people dislike daon I'll always defend her. Taeyang had no right to get jealous and throw a tantrum just like how hanu had no right to call her a fox in front of everyone, its a dating show for gods sake.
What a roller coaster ride. I loved the cast so much I cried for them. Idk if it's just me but I harcore shipped Gaheun and Hangyul. In ep1 when they went to go buy cake, I felt something but since nothing else happened I gave up on that ship. HOWEVER, they hit again when they went on their date. For the first time, Gaheun looked genuinely happy. They just got along so well and were so comfortable together that I guess I looked too deeply into it. But what frustrated me the most was that both Gaheun and Hangyul felt something after the date but since the votes weren't shown to them anymore, Hangyul wasn't aware of Gaheun's votes for him. I just wonder if he would've opened the door more for Gaheun if he knew, and vice versa. As much as I love all the girls, Gaheun was definitely my favorite. A lot of times it just felt like there was no space for her, no matter which guy she liked, they liked someone else. Plus she couldn't exactly go after the guys knowing how the other girls felt. But still I admired her bravery.
If we're supposed to believe in a Jipyeong happy ending, they could've at least added him in one of those pictures at the end. This just proves to show that Jipyeong never got the family he yearned for and he doesn't truly fit in anywhere.
My curiosity of what was in that jewelry box down the drain. There was no proper closure for the letters and Halmeoni was never held accountable for her actions, Jipyeong took it all when he was also a victim. They really concluded the drama by making Jipyeong pass his history to Dosan to justify why Dosan makes sense as endgame. If they were going to disregard the letters and Jipyeong's story then what was the point of Jipyeongs character, a punching bag for the story? The writing for second half is just a big facepalm.
Tbh I don't understand why people want her to pick Peng when all he's done was push her aside. He only changed when his boyfriend status got threatened. He took her for granted. Put yourself in her shoes, would you want to be in such relationship? The biggest moral from this series is to love and appreciate those in your life because once they're gone they're never coming back. Tantawan was always ready to fight for their relationship but he gave up and when she set herself free from this relationship she realized how happy she truly is without him. Even if Chalam didn't exist, peng and tantawan's relationship was already falling apart. The ending was not confusing at all, it was clear cut and I liked it.
As someone who absolutely loved the whole drama I could understand why people don't like the second half. With that being said, I do personally like the second half more. I have not read the webtoon so I'm just going off from the drama. A lot of people didn't like the second half because it became too cliché and as a person who hates clichés I want to give this drama a shoutout for pulling it off for me. Haru and Danoh's love story may seem too repetitive and have no character development but remember this is a romantic story and like Danoh said Haru is not someone who just changes her fate, Haru is her fate. Danoh searching for Haru is the whole purpose of their story as Haru's whole existence is to wait for her to find him. Haru's unconditional love for Danoh makes me love the drama even more.
I got to say I-Land is probably the worse survival show I've watched. The format was messy and there was no consistency to the system. Moreover, the show focuses solely on dance and neglects vocals and rap. Trainees were presented to look mean and intimidating (K) which heavily impacted their votes. During part 1 the grounders barely got screentime nor opportunity to perform on stage, they were just there to make up numbers for the show. And one more thing thats been bugging me and needs to be said, Nicholas first started in I-Land but got zero screentime, he was basically nonexistent. Nobody remembered him due to lack of screentime until the end when it was too late to save him. I personally think Nicholas is the most handsome on the show and he would've gotten more fans if only he had screentime. With proper treatment, Nicholas could have easily be one of the top trainees in the show. Also, K? I don't even know what to say, he deserves better. He was always mnet's scapegoat, I'm happy he's free now. They don't deserve him. Overall, I'm still very happy for top 7 and lets support them and all eliminated trainees.
I think bighit really failed at this survival show thing. At this point this group is just a dance team. They've been focusing too much on dance and neglecting vocals AND rap. The shows purpose is to give these boys a chance to improve and the resources for growth hence the I-Land building. However, to this episode we still don't see strong vocals nor rap (there's literally no rap at all). Daniel said he wants to rap and improve but the show has failed to give him the opportunity to grow. The voting doesn't make sense and the show just seems all over the place now. There's no time for them to breathe, they move right into the next mission and I just feel bad for them because they have no time to process the situations through, at least we as the audience get a week to set our feelings straight lol. And yes I miss the ground
Gun is someone who does not do anything on an impulse and he thought this over before he decided to make his move…
Yes like I said Prin is a jerk but Gun is just unlikable to me. He knows it's a painful past for Mitra but he also knows it's an aching topic for his friend and he's using it as an advantage. Ofc he has his rights to shoot his shot but I just think he's a bad friend.
This show can be so frustrating gosh. First of all, what were the producers thinking ranking Geonu that low and ultimately eliminating him. He's our most promising vocalist and the best candidate for main vocal position. This show fails to properly provide these boys with actual coaching and then gets surprised that they're stagnant. The producers only come once a week to scare them and thats basically it. They give good feedbacks here and there but its still lacking very much. I personally think most of them are not ready for debut and they really need to work on their teamwork. They eliminated Geonu because he was boring and lacked facial expressions but at this point in the show I don't think they can risk looking for boys with potential anymore, that should've ended in part 1, now we need stable skills that are ready for debut and Geonu has that. Facial expressions is something that could be learned but learning to sing or dance skillfully takes time. Plus the overall show just seems to be all over the place, I don't think part 2 was in the original plan as Rain and Zico are not participating and the tests are too repetitive, it doesn't show the true talents of these boys. And this show is slowly ruining these boys' mental health for entertainment. My forever ideal lineup: Sunghoon, Heeseung, K, Jungwon, Geonu, Jay, Nicholas
Can't express how much I dislike Gun. Prin is wrong and I'm not justifying his actions BUT Gun saw how much his friend loved Mitra for the past 3 years and how sorry he felt for those 3 years, he knows well in his heart that Prin loves her and how heartbroken Prin is but he goes ahead and like Mitra. He is right that Prin is a jerk to Mitra but he should look at how he's treating his friend too. He easily got swayed by a woman and is too desperate. The way he pushes himself onto Mitra is so unlikable too, the girl don't want you! Gun himself said, how can he be friends with Prin when he feels like he doesn't know Prin at all, well he's siding and befriending a girl he just met and barely knows. Hypocrite.
My forever ideal lineup:
Sunghoon, Heeseung, K, Jungwon, Geonu, Jay, Nicholas
