It’s true that the genres of the shows I mentioned are fantasy,but I was also referring to Season 1 of this series — where the encounter with the killer at the beginning made the show really exciting. However, that level of thrill didn’t continue through the rest of Season 1 or in this new season.With a bit more clever writing and by putting Shen Yi in greater danger, the series could have been much more thrilling.I mentioned The Spiral and The Ultimate Note as examples because in those shows, strange and unexpected things kept happening to the main character. That not only kept the tension high but also made you eager to see what would happen next — a feeling I didn’t get in Season 2, which I finished watching rather unwillingly
