I agree with what you're saying, and that is also my point. Yes, popular shows are popular for a reason, and that means theyve tapped into something people truly enjoy which is why they have such a dedicated fan base. However, fans will never vote objectively. Be honest, do some shows that are rated higher than 9 on this site truly deserve that rating? Esp when, in comparison, something like Parasite has lower rating than them? Fandoms try to bring their fave to the top and this breeds competition when they see some other show as a threat to the one they like. Which is why i suggested fans of this show to ask other fans to rate it if, as the commentor said, some other group of fans are trying to sabotage it.

How am I downplaying other dramas?? It's pretty obvious how the ratings on this site work. IOTNBO is a good drama but its popularity Does have a big hand in its high rating here. Same goes for literally everything else. Stop taking offense at everything, jeez.

What? How is Kim Soo Hyun an idol? Watch until episode 4, if you still don't like it after that, then it's not…
Yeah i'm also very confused about KSH being an idol??? Unless this person thought dream high was real life or something...

I miss this show :( gearing up for a rewatch but i rlly shouldn't cuz i dont have the time sadly :(( i know its not gonna happen but i'd love for them to do a special ep or behind the scenes or ANYTHING at this point. Even ksh has gone mia from his insta again. Hopefully he doesn't take another 3-5 yrs to update. The last drought was too long...

I'm glad he took on the role of MKT in IOTNBO. Especially since he did not do it with the eye of looking for another hit, or going by the "tried and true formula", and chose to give a chance to a rookie writer's script because he liked the story. Both the writer and pd have heaped praises and thanks on him for that, and I also find it admirable that he chose a character that was Not as "flashy" as some of his previous works, or as loud and overwhelming or attention-drawing as Munyeong or Sangtae's characters were. The show was made to highlight the other 2 characters, and Kangtae was the most mundane of the 3. But it was, as the producer said, this very mundanity that made him special. KSH chose an average, flawed, everyday character that was not "quirky" as the others or broody like the popular ML and made him endlessly relatable. His character was the embodiment of a slow burn. By the end if the 9th ep, my focus shifted from the other two to him, and it did not budge till the end credits of the finale rolled. Eagerly looking forward to his future projects!

So excited for the thrilling ride this'll take me on for the next few weeks! CSW and BDN back at it with their brilliance! Also cant wait for Seo Dongjae's ridiculousness to show up in ep 2 :)

I was smiling through the tears towards the end. What an absolute gem of a drama. There might have been some storylines i wish had played out differently, but the heart of the show was always the characters and their relationship, and I'm glad I followed them on their journey. Their development was absolutely beautiful to witness. This show will always hold a special place in my heart. Truly lived up to its claim of being a healing drama. Looking forward to Kim Soohyun, Seo Yeji, Oh Jungse and the rest of the cast and crews' future projects!

Something strange about this "mother " narrative. Why MY said she would have recognized her. Why she did not go…
Yup. I'm still hoping for one final twist, or at least some explanation on how she managed to survive cracking open her head after a fall, then getting left to bleed out for who knows how long after being shoved into a bag and thrown in the lake. (Or was that all KMY's dads hallucination? But MY corroborated the first part of the story at least so his memory was partly right)

Who do you think gets the best actor award?? OJS or KSH ???
OJS could definitely get the best supporting actor. And if it were up to me both KSH & SYJ would get best actor and actress. But some great dramas are still upcoming so competitions gonna be tough. (Stranger 2 airs immediately after this one ends too)

Well there's still hope they touch upon munyeong getting some therapy in the last episode *fingers crossed*. Kangtae did (finally) get a psychiatric consultation this ep (even if it was only One but,,,baby steps)

I mean, i also loved those, it was something new and unique, but is that really something that matters in a drama…
I did see the slight rush in the direction towards the end but overall I do agree with u. Personally, being into animation, the Tim Burton-esque sequence at the start is what caught my eye since I wasn't well acquainted with these actors previous works (I've since remedied that. Binged most of their dramas since pbio started). And the animated fairy-tales were especially dear to my heart. But yes, the characters are what kept me hooked till the end :) i had my doubts at the mid-length of the drama, but the character development for all three was well done
On It's Okay to Not Be Okay Aug 8, 2020
Hmm...a lot of ppl have pointed out the shift in production and directorial style after the first few episodes. I've heard it's bcs the staff were under time and budget constraints (which is why they cut down on the gorgeous animations of the earlier eps) hence they were unable to go full on out the way they did at the start. Overall, I've still very much enjoyed the journey these characters have taken me on, and the cast and crew poured their all into it. Also the tiny animated interludes made a comeback these past few eps. And the show has high rewatch value, which is always a plus in my book :)
