Ahh…I am on episode 9, was thinking stop at episode 16 so that my heart won’t be aching. Do you think episode…
imo ep 16 would be a fine ending on its own. ep 17 is good but heartbreaking, atleast from the clips I've seen, so it's up to u if u want to experience that once u finish 16
I just watched ep. 3 with the hope it got better but... it didn't. For me it's just a bland romcom, full of cliché…
then I really recommend Good Manager! One of the best shows I've watched :) & I felt the same as you about wok of love... but, again, I felt it was the writing and lack of chemistry with the female lead that dragged that role down. might be the same unfortunate case with this drama bcs imo he was excellent in comedies when given the proper material and right co-stars to click with

that's a surprise bcs his comedy role in good manager is what made me a fan & the reason I was excited for this. it's why I just think the writing of this drama is lackluster...
I've watched episode 1 and got halfway through episode 2 bcs of LJH and idk if I want to continue.... would any non-stans recommend this? does it get better?
Probably because there is some truth to it? I think the mother plot ruined it for a lot of people
You have 6 kdramas total that you've watched, most of them highly rated & close to beating IOTNBO's rating on this site. Five of those you've rated 10, and this is the only one you've given a 1. Buddy, you're not doing some grand service by making accounts to rate a drama 1 because you find it overrated. You seem extremely obsessed with a show you found "almost boring". And I didn't ask for justifications of your rating system in the first place. You're either a fan of those other shows that see this as a competition, or one of those weirdos that feel bitter when something is super popular that they can't understand. You calling this show "overrated" ad nauseum is definitely you "judging other people's taste", which you called me out for supposedly doing at the start. Should've checked out your account before taking the bait to engage in this pointlessness with a hater lol

Also I just checked out your watch list and seems like you're one of the very people I'm talking about :D Should've checked it sooner lol. Apparently IOTNBO warrants a 1 according to you and FOE is a 10. Okaaaaaay.

I could use your logic right back at you. I, too, rated it a 1.5 to counter the "extremeness" of the rating, especially since I've watched the show and found the direction, production, cgi etc pretty ridiculous. I'd suggest you watch it and decide for yourself if my rating's fair or not lol. It's rated higher than Parasite on this site, just for comparison, all thanks to it's dedicated fans. And that's my point, this whole site is subjective as hell, including my ratings. People rate shows higher based on who they stan, especially shows with popular celebs. And those celebs have just as many haters who rate the shows super low, even making multiple accounts to bring the rating down. Yeah, these could just be casual watchers who didn't like the show, but the timing of the comments made me suspicious, which is why I questioned it.

Meh. I'm always suspicious of people suddenly rating popular dramas super low bcs of similar sounding reasons. Shows with big fandoms attract just as dedicated haters. And the popularity of this show getting fans of "competing" shows pressed doesn't help. Yeah, the mom plot wasn't my favourite bit either but saying that it warrants the show being rated below 5 is a bit....much. Especially when I go and see which shows they rate 10 lol
Enjoyed it three-fourths of the way through but idk what happened near the end, especially after he met up with his daughter. Completely lost interest. Couldn't even be bothered to finish it.
Sadly, I agree. And I was really looking forward to this since I've loved most of PBG's dramas and liked PSD in Parasite. The story is cliche, which can be tolerable if its done *right* but this just feels draggy. And I'm neither feeling the direction nor the chemistry of *anyone* on this show, except for maybe new-manager noona and the ml in some bits. Honestly, sometimes i feel like I'm watching one loooong product placement cf. I feel like the writer tried (and failed) to capture some of the slice-of-life magic from reply88 but this show just lacks the spark.
Only watched the ksh and njh bits. Kim Soohyun's acting was amazing, especially since he was so young. Both of them were absolutely adorable. And song joonki was the sweetest big bro (for the veeeeery short time he was on screen lol). But man did the twist in episode 3 throw me off. Don't even want to watch further.
