INTENSE

Before you even start to watch this, be in the right state of mind, and know what to expect. What not to expect…any kind if romance, comedy or love. What to expect…frustration, betrayal, blood, death, very heavy plot, murder, suspense, revenge, remorse, excellent acting, and an excellent plot that was well written, produced and directed. With all that in mind, this drama does not leave you feeling good. It is the kind of drama that will be with you a while, if you know what I mean. If you are up to feeling total frustration as you watch a drama, this is the one for you. I’m not trying to talk anyone out of watching this, just be prepared for the wild ride.

Best historical drama I’ve seen

No, it’s not over yet…still has 2 more episodes to air, (see edit). But, even if it ended at episode 15, I would still give this a 10! The acting ML and FL are so believable in their roles, the story is so complete, the writing and directing couldn’t be better. In these 15 episodes, they couldn’t have added or deleted anything, it is perfect. Lee Jun-Ho is perfectly cast in his lead role. With his looks, acting, smoldering eyes, grin, and emotions showing all over his face, he is so believable in his role. He makes this drama as great as it is. I couldn’t picture anyone else playing Yi-San. I experienced a lot of emotions watching this. Two more episodes to go, but like I said, even if it ended right now, I would still give it a 10.

Edit: I just completed the last episode, and yes, it’s a 10 right to the end! I cried the entire last episode. It is by far the best drama I’ve ever watched. If I could give it higher than a 10. I would.

This is only 12 minutes long, but it is long enough to get a point across. In the 12 minutes it airs, it has abuse, lack of self acceptance, sadness, suicide, and society not accepting someone being “different.” It’s heart breaking to think of what people have to go through mentally and physically, just because they are not society’s idea of “normal.” What gives anyone the right to decide for someone else what they think is right or wrong about any individual?! The ML acting is very believable, very well acted. This, to me, was more interesting than dramas I’ve watched that run 1+ hours. The ML was also in Color Rush, and he was also excellent in that. Give it a watch, it’s very short and very well done.

I’ve watched this BL drama at least 3 times over the year. Of all the BL’S I’ve watched, this and only two others have interested me enough to watch multiple times. The other two are You Make Me Dance, and To My Star . Like the other two, the acting was excellent between the ML’s, and the stories of all three were very believable. I think when the actors connect with each other in a non awkward way, it really makes watching it so much more enjoyable. This drama was suspenseful, well written, well acted, great plot, and an easy short watch, just like the other two I mentioned. Believe me, worth the watch!

I loved this drama from beginning to end. It wasn’t a silly mix of comedy with serious undertones. It was serious, with a few lighter moments. The acting was amazing, especially the ML and the FL. A lot of emotion in the story. I thought the plot was great, and really kept my interest. A plus was the classical music, which I love. Although you really don’t have to love classical music to love this drama. I can’t put my finger on why I liked it so much, because I can’t pick any one thing out. The love story between the two leads was great, as was all the side love stories. Best of all, the ending was good, tying up all loose ends, which is really satisfying. As I was watching it, I was hoping for a good ending. We all know what it’s like to watch an entire 16 episode drama, only to have the end either left to the imagination, or just plain bad. Oh, and my new love is Kim Min Jae! This is the first drama I’ve watched with him in it. But, I always fall in love with the male leads with every drama I watch. Now he is my current favorite until the next drama.💕

Have Tissues!

This has been on my “Plan to watch list” for a few months. Normally, with a lot of dramas, I’ll watch an episode or two, then decide if I’ll continue, or put it on hold. Or, I watch a drama, get bored and fast forward through most of it. But with this, I was hooked immediately, and didn’t fast forward once throughout the 16 episodes. It had everything I loved. It had revenge, which was the main theme of this drama, love, heartbreak, friendship, and best of all, an ending that tied up all the loose ends. Oh, and did I mention revenge?... Park Seo Joon was excellent as the main character, and his emotions and heartbreaks really played out well, and it made you believe everything he was supposed to be feeling. As far as revenge dramas, this is the best I’ve seen. If you aren’t into that kind of theme, don’t watch it. But if you are, it will satisfy you, especially the ending. There is nothing I would change about it. Just be sure to have tissues, because it is an emotional roller coaster of sad, happy, accomplishments, failures, failed love, happy love, pretty much everything!

Cutest Ever!!❤️❤️

This is a spin-off of the drama series, and it is awesome. I loved the humor, the lead actors, the supporting actors, and the cute story line. If you are looking for a BL with a lot of skin ship and physical romance, this is not for you. If you are looking for a fun, funny, well acted spinoff of the original drama, with romantic implications, this is for you. It is a very short drama, which is disappointing, because I can’t get enough. I would highly recommend this, as well as the original drama, Cherry Magic, and I am looking forward to watching the other spinoff as well. I will watch that next, and probably watch all three of them again.

Keeps your interest

WOW, this was so good, I didn’t fast forward once, and I was glued to every scene. If you don’t like violence, revenge, bullies, kids fighting to be excepted for who they are, but are outcasts because of their family situation, fighting, (a lot of fighting), not the kind of ending you would have wanted, you shouldn’t watch this drama. Some good things… friendship, acceptance, revenge, bromance, and that’s about it. The acting, fight scenes, directing, and writing were all beyond great. It’s NOT the kind of drama that will put you in a good mood, especially the end. BUT I highly recommend it! I will say I cried through most of the last episode. Didn’t leave me with a good feeling, but I am really glad I watched it. I will definitely watch season 2, and I’m sure there will be one.

A BIG NO!!

I was pretty excited to watch this due to the high ratings, but it didn’t keep my interest. I literally suffered through maybe 5 episodes, but dropped it. Very boring for me, but I can’t put my finger on why… I think because I’m comparing it with the acting and strong plots in other period Dramas I’ve watched. Dramas that I binged watched because they were so good. Dramas like: The Red Sleeve, The Crowned Clown, A Frozen Flower, all the Rurouni Kenshin Dramas, Empress Ki, Mr. Sunshine, Moon Lovers, just to name a few. Shogun just wasn’t good, but I guess it’s because I am comparing it to the ones I listed. I gave it a 4 for the production value. I was happy to drop it, my suffering is over. Maybe I’ll just re-watch Moon Lovers

Great Acting!!

I haven’t written a review in months, and I didn’t expect too much from this Drama, Time travel stories are kind of hit or miss….or I should say reincarnation, or kind of both I guess. It had my interest from the first episode. I haven’t fast forwarded even once, which is a habit of mine during idle/slow times in a drama, and that is saying something. It started out good, and it keeps going. It has kind of a mixture of everything like…a love story, a mystery, death, sickness, feeling unloved, many surprises in the plot, great acting, and so much more. I loved Ahn Bo Hyun in My Name, so that’s part of the reason I decided to watch this, and he hasn’t disappointed me. The ending was fitting to the story. I think it could have been more than 12 episodes so I would be able to see future events with her life. I don’t want to give the story away by elaborating, but it should have continued. But still a great drama!!

Saddest Drama I’ve watched

I don’t give many dramas a 10, but this one deserved it. It had everything from humor, to friendship, revenge, extreme sadness, and everything in between. The acting was excellent from the leads to the supporting actors. If you don’t like sad dramas, don’t watch it. I think the only other time I cried this hard was the ending of Scarlet Heart Ryeo, and I also gave that one a 10. Have lots of tissues on hand, especially the last two episodes. But I cried a number of times from episode 1, all the way to the end. I binged this in two days it was so good. I can’t think of one boring moment. This is one of those dramas that will stay with me a long time. This is a must watch for anyone who likes sad touching love stories, and are prepared to shed tears.

Still Deciding…

So, did you ever watch a drama and can’t decide if what you just watched was good or bad? I still can’t decide if I should give this a lower rating than what I gave it. The description of this drama is very different than it actually is. I expected a kind of dark story, with the ML seducing women as a hobby, and leaving many broken hearts in the process. Well, I didn’t get that. What I got was a love story with several senseless, frustrating break ups, most of which didn’t make sense, a plot twist that toyed with the viewer throughout the story, a rather unemotional Eun Tae Hee, Woo Do Hwan that took more crap than I ever would, and it was frustrating. I found myself yelling at the TV, “Wake up you idiot, and quit taking her s***!” I thought Moon Ga Young and Kim Min Jae were very good in this, and I liked their story better than the main story. And, don’t even get me started about the ending. I mean please…. The ML waits 5 years, as I’m yelling at the TV at him again. But it wasn’t all bad, and I am glad I watched it. But, I’m still debating the overall rating I gave it. Read the high ratings, and you might decide to give it a chance like I did.

I decided to watch this because there are only 8 episodes, each about 12 minutes long, and the description and cover photo looked interesting. As short as the drama is, the plot showed everything it had to, to make the story complete, it didn’t need longer. It is a sweet simple love story between a dancer and a loan shark, trying to collect debt that the dancer owed, and in the process they fell in love with each other. For Chu Young Woo, it was his acting debut, he did a great job, and I think hopefully we will be seeing a lot more of him. It’s so short, not a huge commitment, it’s worth watching. Great ending with this “feel good” drama!

This is a spin off special, and is just as enjoyable as the original. This couple is the cutest ever! It is a light hearted, easy to watch drama, with a little comedy, and cooking. You can actually try out some of the food they make with these dramas, because they give detailed instructions while they cook the meals. The original drama was about the trials and tribulations of their relationship, this special has just one main theme. I hear there is a movie being developed, which I will definitely watch. So, if you are looking for a fun drama, with no heavy plot, that is light hearted, that leaves you feeling good after you watch it, this is the drama for you, as is the original.

Easy Watch, Enjoyable Drama

This is what I would call an easy watch. It was enjoyable, because it didn’t have a lot of characters, and it wasn’t real plot heavy and serious. A drama about twin brothers, one was gay, and admitted it to his twin when they were young. Being gay wasn’t accepted when they were young, so the gay brother distanced himself from his family when he grew up. He married, and passed away, leaving behind a very distraught husband. The husband traveled to Japan to meet his husbands twin brother, and learn more about his family. It had its sad moments when the brother reflected back on his life with his deceased twin brother. It had its happy moments for the same reason. It’s just an all around, short, feel good kind of drama with a good ending.
