Kdrama fanatic

This drama was something I really didn’t expect. It was actually a very serious drama about depression, suicide, and the pressure of working in Japan. It showed what Aoyama went through mentally with the pressure of his job. How his mental state declined due to his boss constantly belittling him in front of his coworkers. The pressure of working in sales and meeting a sales quota was just too much for him. His relationship with his parents also suffered because of his low self esteem and depression. Then, a ray of sunshine entered his life by the name of Fukushi Sota. Fukushi helped Aoyama see life in a different light. Because of Fukushi’s past, which remains a mystery until towards the end of this drama, he is able to help Aoyama sort out his feelings, and gather up the courage to change his life. The ending is great by the way, so it doesn’t leave you hanging, which is my main pet peeve about dramas. This is a really good watch!

This is a very mediocre BL, with a bad ending. Why would the writers end it like they did? Just give it a good ending already. I would have scored it higher if the ending was good. Fair acting, decent plot, but could have easily been better with a few tweaks. Just roughly about a male model that is messed up mentally because of his past. He has a friend in school who is in love with him, but is obsessed with him. The model fell in love with someone else, but jealousy took over the school friend, and that’s the problem. The movie is short enough to watch, and not invest too much of your time if your curious. I watched it out of curiosity because of the low rating. Now I see why...

Very Moving Emotional Drama

I wasn’t planning on watching this drama, because I don’t like the “based on a true story” kind of thing. I’m so glad I gave it a chance! Because it is based on real events, the core of the story is true, but other things with the actors were enhanced and changed for drama. This is a time in Korean history a lot of people don’t even realize happened. In fact, after it was over, the Korean government tried to cover it up, and citizens were either unaware it happened, or didn’t talk about it. In real life, what the taxi driver and the German reporter witnessed, affected them for the rest of their lives. After you watch it, it’s the kind of drama that stays with you long after, because you can’t believe something like the events that occurred actually took place, and not really that long ago. I highly recommend this drama, but not if you aren’t ready to shed some tears. The real life taxi driver died a few years after he witnessed this tragedy, and the German reporter died, I believe in 2016. He searched for the taxi driver right up to his death, not knowing he died years prior. He really wanted to meet up with him again.

What did I just watch?? The BL basic story/plot was promising, but how it was carried out was not good. It felt way too rushed, the story jumped all over the place, and the ending was really weird to say the least. If more care was taken with the writing, directing and producing, it just might have been good. I felt the actors did a good job with what they had to work with. I will not watch this again. I gave it a 4.5 for the effort of China even filming this. I think considering the short run time, I would suggest watching it. Maybe some of you will “get it,” I didn’t.

Run on, and on, and on….

This drama did not hold my interest. I watched the first few episodes, thinking it would get better, but it didn’t. I fast forwarded through most of it just to finish it. By the time I realized how long and boring it was starting to be, I had too much time invested in it to drop it. I’m actually surprised at the fairly high rating, because for me, it was hard to stay awake while I watched it. But to each their own, because a lot of viewers loved it. The acting was very good, some good comedic moments, some good serious moments as well. Romance was in it, but not enough for me. I at least like some passionate kissing once in a while, but nothing in this drama. I guess it was a story to teach you how to love yourself, and stand up for what you believe. This could have been done with fewer episodes. Just very drawn out, and boring.

I would have given this a higher rating, but the end spoiled it. I enjoyed watching this, it kept my interest. I thought the acting and story were good. This movie had a lot of sex scenes, so if your not comfortable with that, don’t watch it. I think the two ML’s were excellent and very believable in their roles. They were two lost souls, but throughout the movie kind of discovered themselves. I don’t think I would watch it again though. I’ve watched You Make Me Dance, Long Time No See, and To My Star several times each, but I won’t be doing that with this one, for the reason stated in my first sentence. If you like BL’S on the serious side, it’s a nice short watch.

WOW, what a wild ride!! Excellent from beginning to end, and at times unpredictable. If you don’t like blood and gore, you won’t like this. If you don’t like revenge movies, or crying during a movie, you won’t like this either. It’s about gangsters, so that explains the you “won’t like” description about this movie. I totally expected all of this going in, so I wasn’t surprised. It’s about betrayal, and trust that went wrong. I was especially at the edge of my seat through the entire last episode. The acting was impeccable! If you love a good ending, I can say it is good and bad. Watch it to see what I mean, you won’t regret it.

Very Moving

I haven’t written a review in a while, but I felt compelled to write this one. I was moved to tears so many times while watching this. If you don’t like sad Dramas, do not watch this one. The acting was perfect in every way by all. The ML was especially great! I think you know the storyline, and how it will end. I also knew, but watching it was so emotionally sad and so realistic. I knew about ALS, but to actually see how this incurable degenerative disease progresses, was beyond heartbreaking and cruel. While this disease slowly takes parts of your body, it not only affects the person with ALS, but everyone around them. The worst part about it, is the person with ALS is fully conscious and aware of everything, right up to the end. I can never watch this again though, once is enough to go through mentally. I had to take a lot of breaks watching this, especially during the last few episodes, because they were hard to get through. Unlike most Dramas, this is just too real.

Everything was fantastic…..except….

This BL/bromance Drama is probably one of the best I’ve watched. It had a great plot that kept you guessing, right up until the end. If you are in to physical type BL’S, you will not find it here. It is kind of left to your imagination with glances, pecks on the cheek, sleeping together, oh, and the lube scene, LOL. The acting was outstanding with very good chemistry between the two ML’s. I did not like the BL 2016 Addicted, but people keep comparing that to this. This was so much better than that. DEFINITELY worth watching it. I am hoping there is a Season 2, or there are too many unanswered questions. It would have been a strong 10 for me, but those unanswered questions turned it into an 8.

I thought the plot was really good, but the acting wasn’t. I felt this was WAY over acted. I liked the theme song, but I thought the music throughout the drama during certain scenes, was very annoying. I felt like I was watching a soap opera from the 1970’s. I had a hard time getting through this one. It did have a lot of good plot twists, but the things I mentioned ruined it for me. Apparently other viewers don’t agree with me, because of the high rating. I would never sit through this again. Maybe my rating is too high the way I feel, but like I said, the overall plot was good. I did like the ending though.

Great Chemistry Between Leads!

One of the best BL’S I’ve seen. Why?… Mainly the extreme, believable, physical chemistry between the male leads. Actually everything about this drama is impressive, but mainly the physical contact between Nattawin Wattanagitiphat who plays Porsche and Phakphum Romsaithong who plays Kinn. Both absolutely gorgeous I might add! The plot, writing and especially the directing were excellent. I didn’t give it a 10, because a couple of very unnecessary characters were in it. I felt that if this BL Drama cut out all the comedy (Thanayut Thakoonauttaya), and just stayed serious, it would have been so much better. This is a definite watch if you like really good physical scenes, “mafia like” plots, and drop dead gorgeous actors, this is the one for you.

So Far So Good

Love both the ML and FL, so that helps. I’ve been kind of in a bit of a slump lately, but this has gotten me out of that. I kind of wish I would have waited for all episodes to air, but I was too anxious. Now I have to wait every week after they leave the currently airing episodes on a cliff hanger. I so far love it, but you how that goes. It’s a revenge kind of genre which I tend to like, with a very different kind of plot. If you don’t like a supernatural kind of Dramas, don’t bother watching this. So far, the FL character is unlikeable, but I have a feeling this will change. We will see going forward, and I’ll re-score it and review it at the end.

I started with a rating of 9, but it dropped to a 8.5. It was really good, but towards the end, it jumped around a lot. I would watch it again, but I really didn’t like the edits too much. Real short scenes toward the end then black, then another short scene. Liked the beginning more than the end.

So, if you like bloody, psycho, revenge movies, you will like this. One thing I will say, is Lee Min Ki is OUTSTANDING in this. He is so believable with his actions and facial expressions. It is about a woman, Park Go Eun, wanting revenge for the murder of her sister. She is a little off mentally, which helps her, because it makes her fearless. Again, I can’t say enough about the male lead. He made this movie. At times, it was hard to watch because I had to turn away a few times due to the violence, gore and blood. It is definitely a movie that kind of stays with you, if you know what I mean. Just don’t watch it before you go to sleep.

Sad But Meaningful Movie

Do you like sad movies, then you need to watch this. It’s as sad as it gets. It has a mixture of everything…crime, sarcasm, love, frustration, resentment, sadness, sadness, sadness, happiness and on and on. Every kind of emotion a human can feel while watching a movie. I haven’t written a review in a long time, but I feel like I have to let people know about this masterpiece. I’ve watched Asian dramas for many years, and I’m finding it hard for anything to keep my interest anymore. I’m sure a lot of you feel like that too. I thought I would give this one a try, and I’m so glad I did. I am in tears right now writing this review. It’s not that I’m suggesting it because I like to feel sad, I’m suggesting this because it’s the best thing I’ve seen in a very long time that moved me like this. Believe me, it’s worth the watch.😢 But, prepare to be sad depressed after you watch it.
