I couldn't go beyond the first half of the first episode due to the constant element of bullying. If you like such themes, you'll probably enjoy this series.
OMG I didn't realise that was UTT until I came here to the cast section! I grew up watching Utt on TV. Didn't think I'll ever see him again after such a long time...
And to add, straight people do watch gay romances, just like gay people watch straight romances.
To be fair, gay people watch straight romances because that's the default. In the past there is no such thing as gay romances (gay representation) in the media. I'm gay and now with the influx of gay romances in movies and books, I don't watch/read straight romances anymore.
And straight people who do watch gay romances are few and far between, and they are mostly women. I personally don't know any straight men who would watch them. We are still pretty much living in a homophobic society.

Agree with @Hakan-s. I also stopped halfway through the first episode, then picked it back up recently. But you should persevere. I reached a point where I can't wait to watch what happens next. I've just finished the series today.
