Title Big Mouth Spoiler
Imo the ending was very rushed, but that doesn't ruin the entire show for me
Mi-ho's death was supposed to be unnecessary and unfair, it's supposed to make you angry.
Nonetheless, it was very rushed and thus lacked much emotional impact. It felt like the writers had plans for a larger ending, but were stuck with 16 episodes with a 70 min finale. Least they could've done was made the final episode longer.
I feel like a lot of emotions were lost because they were in a rush, we all know Lee Jong-suk can nail a very gut-wrenching cry scene, but we didn't get one. The dad sobbing did have me in the feels.
A lot of questions were left unanswered and it made me wonder if that was for plans of a second season, but the interview about it makes it seem unlikely. If they do, I hope they do tie all the loose ends... Like the psycho son for one?
The room leader being Big Mouse was actually a pleasant reveal, and although it lacked much impact again, it seems like that wasn't their intention either, like Big Mouse himself stopped caring about his title, maybe that's just me reading too much into it lololol
Do-ha's death was a little... rushed once again, though it is fitting. I felt the same way for Miho's death, we get the diagnosis the episode before and the big reveal at the END of the episode before that. On top of that, Miho gives her wishes like... 30? minutes before she dies. Yikes.
Chang-ho acting like Big Mouse was everything though, they picked the perfect people for each role and the entire cast did an amazing job with this. Mad props.
Conclusion? A good show with a very messily wrapped up ending. It would've been better if they had an extra 2 episodes... I feel that way about a lot of endings these days 🤔

Honestly, people are the hardest to satisfy. Yall keep talking like you won't have made the same choices. When…
I completely understand where you're coming from, and 100% respect your opinion, as a writer myself (though I may not be very talented lmao)
I like your mom-friend analogy thing, it makes sense, really. Though personally, if I knew my mom was going to be fine, I'd probably go to the person dying a few feet away. Of course, I can't say for sure, because thank god I've never had to make that decision. Which is again, why your comment makes sense, and why his decision makes more sense to me, after thinking about it again. Thank you for enlightening me ^^

I didn't realise I didn't add the hostage part to my initial comment, because I did realise the hostage situation, and that it stopped him from going all out. What I will say is, that Vin could've easily helped Han-seo take down Han-seok the episode before, while they were fighting. But I get that they wanted to keep us on the edge and all, just a bit out of character from my point of view, for someone who is always kind of action-y.

I didn't mind the shooting itself, but what happened before and after it was just kind of weird. Why Vincenzo went running after Han-seok instead of tending to the two victims, just seemed off to me. I don't think it would have made a big difference, but what would he have done if he caught him? There were still two people injured nearby.

I don't think Han-seo deserved to die, it was sadly just the kind of classic character kill off for no real reason, nor with good meaning. But I could accept it if it wasn't brushed over so quickly. Pawnshop-beanie guy Lee, who didn't even die, was given more of a reaction by the rest of the characters. Of course, thank god he didn't die, because I would've bawled my eyes out. It's just kind of a shame that aside from a flashback and a few mentions of Han-seo, his death just seemed like it was kind of forgotten, and it made it seem like his death was just unnecessary.

For me, the episode seemed like it was just kind of rushed, we went from a really cool fight with the Geumga plaza gang, to Vincenzo just taking Han-seok in his car and vrooming off. I would've loved seeing a real stand-off between the two, seeing Vin as his consigliere self, like when his mother was killed. That's what I thought it'd be from the episode preview.
For a show that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout it's entire 20 episode course, the finale was just kind of... a let down, for me personally.
Loved the karma the villains got tho (:
Writing an ending is always difficult, so imo I think if they cut the drama a bit shorter, it could have been wrapped up nicer. Just a bit disappointing for me :(
I wish I could've seen more badass Cha-young and maybe even Han-seo joining in, missed out on that opportunity.
Will also say I loved the Cassano family scene.
Again, totally respect and understand your opinion and love seeing a fellow writer <3

i completely agree with you, even the gold which was the initial central point of the drama lost its value in…
Same here, liked the majority of the drama, but that,, that was just not it. Was thinking the entire time he faked his death and come back as some big surprise cuz of how little attention was paid to his death, but nah, he was just forgotten :/

agreed, Han-seo suffered so much in life already, only for him to be killed off for no good reason... cried like a baby for the majority of ep 20, he deserved so much better

gosh, I completely forgot how quickly they swept the gold under the rug (quite literally), which just really shows how poorly they wrapped the drama up :(

Honestly, I'm really disappointed by the finale. The cliché capturing of FL, causing the ML go dumb dumb. Cha-young was so important and such a good FL... until she was *completely* useless in the final episode.
And Vincenzo, who took down an entire army of guards just 4 episodes ealier, seemed so feeble and weak in the finale, did he skip leg day? Mans is a whole ass mafia member, yet he didn't do anything when Han-seo was fighting his brother, he just sat there and watched.
BRO even chased after Han-seok and just waTCHED him escape while there were two people shot and bleeding out, and even then, he went to the girl who got shot in the **shoulder** instead of the guy who was fatally injured after getting shot in his **stomach**. Mans just tapped his leg and called it a day.
It was just so disappointing and out of character. Vincenzo, with all his first-hand knowledge from the mafia, must have at least known that being shot in the shoulder isn't as serious as being shot in the stomach. Cha-young didn't get shot in the lungs or near the heart
It took Han-seo calling out to him in the most heartwrenching way possible for Vincenzo to come to him, like he didn't just watch him get shot a minute earlier. Felt like the writers didn't know what to do with the ending, and just rushed it and filled the last episode to the brim with useless filler.
It really disappointed me to see something so predictable happen, everyone was calling Han-seo's death the moment he started growing as a person :'(
It's just a classic case of killing off characters after they had some development for shock value, and even then, they kind of just forgot about it and moved on, aside from a couple of references and a flashback
Even beanie guy Lee Cheol-wook, who was assumed to have died, was given more of a reaction by the other characters
The capturing of headass Han-seok and Myung-hee was also super anti-climactic... The story was amazing, but the finale was just kinda whack. If you were going to kill best boy Han-seo, at least make it make sense
