This is fabulous, this series really raised the bar for Thai BL in terms of production. The visuals are insane, their chemistry too. I'm mindblown.π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
She never disappoints and her characters are always unique, from the timid to the badass, from her calm to her fierce voice. A true goddess, definitely in my top 3 best japanese actresses.

It was similar for me, I was like, ok, pt2, should I watch? And then I saw the spoiler and was O.O, maybe I should check this... Like, how would anyone do that to my crystal Oh?
I'm glad I did, I was already amazed, after pt2 I was even more obsessed.

I didn't watch the Taiwanese version of Itazura na kiss, but I did watch MARS version and I agree with u, the japanese one I could not even finish, Itazura in japan is ok for me, these are 2 of my most beloved mangas. I'll check the Taiwanese version of Itazura.

none taken, I guess His and Fujoshi, Ukkari Gei ni Kokuru really opened my eyes to BL... but I agree the japanese ones fall short. I don't like anything Korean, nor series nor BL, at least nothing yet stole my heart.

omg yes, I dived deep in theBL world bc of Utsukushii Kare, another controversial series. And before this I had only watched Japanese stuff and I totally agree they can make the best emotional stories. I hope the ITSAY team, especially the director makes more series, I became a fan. Now I am watching many Thai dramas π

I guess I agree with you on that about Jai. For a moment there I really thought they would really go in that the direction. I'm glad they didn't, bc that would be much for tp fix in only one ep.
I meant Oh saw the bad side in ITSAY, when he gave up his position. In IPYTM I was on Oh side the whole time, if he had preferred to be alone and not get back together I would've been satisfied too (maybe even more)

I used to think like that about cheating, but I guess as I grew older and saw the end of many relationships I started to think that it really depends... I met ppl who never stopped trusting their partner even after worse things, so now I believe it might work and that some people are just meant to be together. For me it's always like, the intensity and size of the love that will dictate that, Oh loves Teh more than T will ever imagine imo... Teh swayed, he never had anyone else but Oh, so I get him, losing something gives you a whole new perspective. Teh is the focus, but for me this is Oh's love story, he saved the show for me.
I hated Teh in ITSAY until he gave up his place for Oh, like, he didn't even think, he didn't even second guess, he didn't even thought of the consequences and it was more bc of love than Oh's abilities imo... PPl only saw the negative side, including Oh, it was such a love confession for me... So, since then I can't fully hate Teh.
Sorry for the long text, I'm just too happy with having someone to discuss this masterpiece of a series.

I really like multilayered characters like Teh, that's why I can't really hate him, I was really rooting for them to be together in the end. I truly believe Teh will be less egoistic and totally agree about Oh. When I say the play I mean his final project one, bc that was pure love for Oh).
I haven't watched Byakuyaku, is it a japanese drama with Takayuki? I'll add it to my list.
A good part 2 that almost ruins Teh, almost. And that is bc of Oh's atittude and love (and imo Teh's final project play that got me crying like a baby).
Simply put, you love Oh so much that you want him to fill his heart with a happy ending and at the same time you end up hating but pitying Teh so much that you overlook his flaws. Then you ask yourself, if that ain't fucking real love, then what is?
I've never seen a more beautifully and sensibly filmed series in my life, not in any language or in mine or on netflix or the american ones I've watched all my life. I love the characters Oh >>>> Teh and I equaly hate Teh for many things. The secret is in the way they look at each other, they move, they touch and don't even have to say a thing for the scene to be perfect.
Their scene in the hammock is now my favourite ever <3, closely followed by when Oh gets Teh's gift and their bodies practically dance before they go swimming and their intense hug touching scene.
Edit: I see the subs for Episode 9 was up today. I hope everyone have fun watching it because that ep was a wild…
i've just watched it and loved the end, but I eas reallyintrigued by the last scene, what do you think is it about? Did she seem happy to you? I had mxed feelings.
Ps. The ost is great too, and their vids on YT, especially the trailers are great.
Ps2. I guess I'm glad I understand zero thai bc ppl are really judgy. Twitter is a landmine.
Ps3. I found the whole novel in PTBR at https://www.google.com/amp/s/mundoasiaticoresenha.wordpress.com/2021/10/12/todos-os-capitulos-da-novel-de-kinnporsche/amp/ (including Vegas x Pete)

MARS manga is a masterpiece, that style of drawing from the 80's, 90's is so nice.
And well, fujoshi is a bit depressing, but very real depicting how difficult it is for LGBTQ people to be themselves and with a beautiful friendship.
