I dunno ... m a little conflicted on if i like it or not .. was it my absolutely fav show .. maybe not .. but it has its redeeming moments .. the script im sorry to say wasnt a standout .. basically four issues in the entire show .. wasnt so seamless in weaving them together either ..
i gotta say fiat omg i dunno how he is not in therapy .. kinda always the childish damsel in distress .. well i do have empathy for him coz im as chaotic and messy about everything as he is .. i just kinda got tired of him not getting stronger despite overcoming so "SOOOO" many issues ..
honestly i wished An took him under her wings and maybe make him stronger and convincingly gracefully bold like her character which omg stayed with me for some reason among all the supporting cast .. her bangs and costumes and performance was so flawless .. after a point i wished she had more screentime ..
i dont want to talk about leon n pob .. it just felt totally out of place .. just like the entire mommy issues which just happens all of a sudden for a sec i thought fiat had a tumor n he is hallucinating her which honestly i think wud've been more convincing coz how those scenes were executed .. plus the ending of that plot too ..
so credit where credit is due .. music was good .. casting well its a mixed bag .. production quality was good .. loved the families .. both leos and fiats .. fiat's dad's kinda hot .. the moms were so cool ..
costumes were on point n quite fancy-trendy !! its a pop-corn watch sure !!

so loved this episode for me its moments like this that makes it totally worth it .. was so meta too .. i mean the entire montage of them trying to be coy yet public .. and the scene with the whole audition flashback at the end was such a surprising treat n so well executed .. i gotta give it to whoever came up with that idea of a screenplay .. i totally was sold with it .. ugh i think im totally being a simp for this show .. n that is low key scary too coz now i cant not have expectations .. !!! plus how adorable is nanon .. omg .. like unbelievably perfect for this role and his performance is so on point !!

oh pran pran pran pran .. u lovesick pobrecito ... so many moments in this epi that i cud literally feel n hear his heart break and ache .. making my heart break and ache :'( ..

Damn ya this was quite cute, breezy, calming, and such a serene romcom .. so dint expect this when i read the synopsis i was like this will be intense a bit dark n all .. i was so wrong ..

That OST the title song .. kinda grew on me .. it was on my playlist by the 5th episode .. really loved the music and bg score work in this series.

Ok the opening scene i kinda dint understand how it fit in .. sure it comes back at the end but i still dont get how it fit into the story.

But the rest of the plots were quite good .. ya paper was fab in delivering an impactful performance his voice n dialog delivery is like uff so good .. it hit crecendo in ep 6 when he says " how can i disappear, when my heart is here" .. the emotional raspiness in his voice .. chills n happy tears .. !! tong fah hmm im confused about how i feel about him getting into the accident n all .. But that kiss in episode 3 i gotta say .. one of the most beautiful build up n execution i have seen so much passion n so many emotions .. the one in the last epi was a bit of a downer compared to the passion in the one in epi 3 .... plus jeno n chris's kiss stole the show in the last episode their smiles uff .. felt so natural !!
Also did anyone notice the posters in tong's bedroom .. quite some easter eggs moment i had there.

Yeah i also got so confused between N and Jeno
.. but coming to Jeno .. he is such a cutie pie .. that scene in the library was so good .. and his n chris's kiss in the last episode .. Jeno had quite a good character arc .. and unlike his character introduction .. quite a strong presence in the show .. chris was well quite ok no complains .. but oh god his pick up lines in the first two epis was so cringe but i will remember them coz i laughed so much .. but then giving arthur a redemption arc was quite confusing .. i quite fell for that and felt kinda bad for him .. damn good crying skills .. kinda wanted to give him a hug .. sooo dint see it coming ..

N and M .. as cute as they showed it to be .. i wonder if it made sense .. but considering the direction n screenplay was good i was like i dont mind!!

This show felt like my comfort food .. like coconut ice cream .. a warm mug of hot chocolate .. !! Worth it completely !!

Also a special shout out to some of the scenes i loved. (let me just get this out first the racy scenes that were like damn quite racy .. i knew they were coming thanks to the reviews n comments but i so dint realize just how racy they were .. but i guess it was not for no reason .. they were quite useful to enhance the story and emotions .. definitely served the story in every way)

1) The scene in the club when zhe in on his knees begging nan not to go .. in the 1st chapter it just made me feel despite the events that went down before it .. n when it reoccurs in the second chapter with more context .. its just broke me mercilessly. So well shot and felt so genuine and real .. quickly following by chunzi's reaction .. beautifully choreographed n captured .. i think sanjay leela bhansali needs to take notes!!

2) The scene on the hill when they meet post separation .. that whole sequence and when they climb down the hill .. again in the first chapter .. as much empowering it was .. when we revisit it in the second chapter .. it broke my heart again .. the slow mo .. the music .. it was crecendo!!

3) The second chapter had so many small moments which were so intense and were like slaps to my faces for presuming everything in the first chapter to be the sole truth .. every time nan was caught between zhe cheating and jimmy the devil incarnate .. and nan being vulnerable .. the director dint show any mercy in terms of subtlety .. it just hit too hard.

4) Every character had a purpose .. and when finally we get to see all of their truths come up in the third chapter .. chunzi .. chao .. jimmy .. i was like damn .. and

5) The final blow which came after what i thought was the final blow about chunzi .. the whole chao story .. it reminded me les miserable ..

This is so underrated !! Needs more recognition for sure !!

the misunderstanding .. the first half .. made sense .. the first chapter was just facts being told and the chain of events that sort of seemed simple and progressing evenly .. made me question nan's naivety .. and after a bit of a separation when he tells zhe that he was in love .. i kinda wanted to see how zhe wud react actually rooting for him to maybe deny or ask for time to decide .. and thats when the glass shattered .. the whole second chapter just turned my whole perception upside down .. the words "this is genius" was blasting in my head .. it was goosebumps all thru after that .. the title made sense all of a sudden .. n i realised what i thought was simple and pretty straight of a situation was actually a totally shattered pieces of story coming together to form this tapestry of so much more depth and heartache .. my heart dint stop feeling achey till now .. every flashback to the first chapter in the second just made everything i felt so much more deeper than when i saw it in the first one .. the final chapter was just perfect again .. they just let the chips fall where they might and kept it real .. !! ah this was like a pilgrimage of romantic roller coaster .. !!

I have no words on how n what this one achieved to make me feel at a time when i really needed to see and feel a story like this ... so this is purely just my view n opinion of The ambiguous focus ..

Production wise .. i mean they did the best they could .. and still pulled off an amazing story .. i have seen far worse executed stories even with massive production n budget...

Coming to the story it dint even try n pretend to sound fictional or falsely happy .. it got too real for me .. especially watching it after KT .. this might be the only sequel that elevated from 0 to 100 in just every aspect .. i was such a doofus to even toy about for months trying to decide if i shud watch this or no .. a Gem like this coming from china .. im blown away !! Hands down one of the best ones i have ever watched and i loved it .. it rocketed right up the charts in my favourites in terms of emotions .. maybe will be no 1 for a long time to come that i dont have the guts to rewatch coz its just that impactful to me !!

Felt a bit like kabhi alvida na kehna cross with an abbas mustan thriller (Bollywood movies) just reminded me of both of them for some reason .. but of course far superior than both of them combined.

i cant .. i just cant !! seeing bas go through what he is going through ... never felt so much pain and emotion in i dunno forever .. i dont think i have it in me to even thinking of whats going to be next :(

amazing story n cute moments aside .. i just cant get over how cute lee is .. like omg .. so pretty n feels like so delicate too ... Angelic even

Damn i feel for Da on ya .. i dunno if he will end up being Da one for tae .. but his storyline is kinda tugging at my heart strings .. im kinda scared n have a weird feeling/wonder if they will be killing off the da one by the end .. i dont think i can handle to see him take his own life. I really hope they dont 13 reasons why him!!

but im happy for shin woo .. finally !!! waited for so long for him to have one happy moment which seem to be finally happening ..

Namgoong is one of those friends i wud love to have .. he just brightens up the scene n story wherever he appears .. such a perfect balance between being funny n dropping wisdom n care bombs .. he is def growing on me !!

Ok i may be wrong so feel free to correct me .. i did feel in the earlier episodes that sun being used as a goat for slaughter for his blood type will be coming into play n i was excited to see how they treat that plot line .. but Sky's reaction just felt like a very wrong timing to carry the execution ..

i mean if i was Sky considering i am distraught for not being able to save him despite being the same blood-type at the moment i would really be more thankful and have happy breakdown when his dad says he has been storing the blood which can save sun .. his dad cudve easily not done anything but he still bought sun's blood to save sun .. so yeah maybe post the whole surgery i wud've gotten really mad at sky's dad .. but at a critical point sky is yelling at his dad for saving his love's life .. kind of a weird move ..

n dont even get me started on his "worried" acting . i think theres plenty of posts about it already ..

And why dint anyone attend to Sky's wound on his chest .. i was getting freaked out by the minute that he was losing blood which is already scarce to begin with .. n nobody bothered to dress the wound or even pay any attention to it .. so much for "golden blood" .. lol

Also .. sky so needs some tricks .. like post the whole kiss n he begs sun to say that he loves him .. he just walks away after hearing the "im sorry", but tears were all over sun's face n not just the subtle tear eye .. i was kinda expecting sky to wipe the tears in slow mo n then storm off .. that wudve added so much intensity coz wiping suns tears wud have been sky's way of calling out sun's crap that sun's denial is a lie and his tears signify the love sun has for sky .. n wudve totally made sun more emo n senti about it .. n it wudve added so much flair n weightage to the storming off bit ..

Bank is probably the most well executed character .. i know he is comedic gag but its not overdone or over the top .. n is kinda cute .. n i love how pitch is also perfectly syncing to that tone .. i love both of them .. so kyaut !!

Its breaking my heart to see where the story is headed ... :'(

Just so heart warming .. its like comfort food .. like a cup of warm coffee .. or a strawberry green tea .. the music was so good .. the OST is also so charmy n groovy !! im missing it already !!

HOLY CRAP !!! .. i think this is one of best watches ive seen in a long time .. shit got reaaal serious right from the first episode ...
TBH i dint like the first season much coz of some personal bias but i totally fell hook line and sinker for season 2 .. im not into intense dramas and despite being not a fan of Season 1 ... this season just kept me hooked .. i dint even dare to fast forward even by a bit ..
Stupendous performances, good bg score, the editing, it was a crecendo of emotions in every single episode. The perspective camera shot of the last scene of third episode was wow
I could really feel the performances of a few characters so much that i had goosebumps and in awe .. like khim .. in episode two .. i havent felt such an earnest emotion so much i think she walked away with all my appreciation in the episodes she was in .. jai i hate him but damn good performance i cud feel every beat and pulse of his character and traits .. and ok im not a fan of teh but Oh is just OHMGG .. knocked it out of the park.
i wouldve been ok with any ending but this one was also quite good .. overall its a very mature story and amazeeee just made my day !!

i kinda agree .. infact in retrospect i think the toned down intimacy was one of the reasons i like asian BLs .. coming from watching some of the intensely dark and super racy shows in spanish .. this was such a welcome change and such a different feel ...
Cherry magic was quite literally the high point of BLs since i started binging them a year ago i think .. coz it was just so pure and so well directed .. n i dint even realise when i finished the show that there was never an actual kiss until i read about it in the comments .. n i was quite surprised that it dint make much of a difference to me ..
Yeah and well FUTS and infact a lot of other shows def had some parts where im like "yeah!! this so does not feel right!!" (like in history 4 i was literally saying that in every episode, not that i stopped watching it coz i need the complete info before feeling what i feel) .. and not that i can do much about it either coz its not my story to tell lol .. but i think i liked FUTS as much as i did coz of duen omg his comic skills were quite fun .. n the music .. the music/OST director needs to be given the credit coz it elevated the show for me and made me shazam all the songs into my playlist.

Im open to any recommendations if have missed out on any gems like cherry magic though :)

Fish upon the Sky is just my latest fav, i started light on me and m loving it, We best love S1 and S2 obviously, cherry magic, history 4, Advance bravely, oh there r tons to watch unless u r me and have finished all of them lol.

Ok i liked this quite a bit and for once it was not a typical villain who meddled instead was the demons n possessiveness of the relationship which was quite interesting ... that i binged it ... and loved it actually!!
But i got a few questions .. help me out please!!
1) Who is n what was going on with Keam ... i thought he was literally in love with a diff person in every episode .. first i thought he was in love with Aim, then Jin, then bbomb, then jack, then there was ball, and the two diff girls in between .. i think more than the main couple i was looking to what secrets is he holding out on .. coz omg the staring the glaring and him literally being friends with everyone ... and why n for whom was he binge drinking .. n who on earth does he love ? n Kudos to his performance that made me so confused and keep yelling "what on earth is going with keam" like in every episode..
2) Well i dunno why everyone fell for Jin tbh, som som, n the other girl, n then there was Tong, well which was a misdirect ill live with it, i even felt U was in love with him at some point, and even jack. Why was everyone falling for him ?? .. As a character i dunno i really dint connect to that trait .. plus he dint feel like a playboy much either! if he had layers to his character .. i dunno i dint really feel much :(
And like he got drunk in literally almost every episode and bbomb had to come pick him up every single time .. God bless his liver!!
3) Ok coming to Aim and the whole gangs plan .. this bothered me the most!! .. So correct me if im wrong .. bbomb was willing to date n declare their relationship .. it was jin who was hesitant n confused .. so why did the gang plan to make bbomb jealous instead of jin .. what was the point to rile up bbomb n push him away from jin .. all that ended up was bbomb misunderstanding and suspecting Jin constantly since they started dating .. wudnt it have made more sense to make jin jealous or something to make him realise the extent of his love and appreciate the love of bbomb .. n honestly this was the only point i kind of sided with jin .. if anyone suspected me for no reason n then said sorry n repeated this same cycle thrice ill be like wtf n give him the boot and go date keam or even Ultra.
4) And how can i forget Song and jay .. really ?? no closure ?? kaownah was just so effortless in his performance .. like he is easily the most comfortable n natural in his performance among the whole cast .. n turbo is just so adorbs.. i thoroughly enjoyed their presence in the show .. but srsly no closure to their characters ?? i felt their story was totally ignored and sidelined which i felt bad for ... but do they fall in love do they confess anything .. like plz tong and even singh got closure .. the last one was too much to ask ??!!

But give it a try this show is kinda nice.
