Absolutely loved it. This is classic Korean medical drama at its finest. Good old-fashioned good versus evil, corrupt bastards in white coats, familiar power struggles, and villains with faces you want to punch the moment they appear. I fucking love it.
Does the story feel like something we've been watching for the past hundred years? Hell yes. But does that make it outdated? Not even close. Especially when KJW is in it, delivering an absolutely fan-fucking-tastic performance. The women knows exactly what she's doing, and she makes even the most familiar material worth watching.
And can we talk about those villains? The same old smug, fat-ass, power-hungry assholes we've seen in practically every Korean medical drama. And you know what? I'm perfectly fine with that.
I'm actually tired of dramas introducing some supposedly fresh, complicated new villain, only for them to pull the exact same bullshit we've seen a thousand times before. At least with these old-school bastards, I know what I'm getting. No unnecessary mystery, no desperate attempt to reinvent evil. Just horrible people being horrible, and me happily waiting for someone to put them in their place.
Not every drama needs to reinvent the wheel. Sometimes all I want is a familiar story, a damn good actor, villains I can hate without hesitation, and the satisfaction of watching good people fight back.
It wasn't great, yet somehow it was damn great at the same time!
I absolutely loved Tongtong's performance. Boss still has a long way to go as an actor, but there's no denying that he has genuine talent and potential. The storytelling felt uneven at times, almost as though it couldn't decide what it wanted to be, yet there were moments when everything came together beautifully.
Despite its flaws, the drama had something that kept me invested, and I genuinely believe it deserves a second season.
And I really wish they had pulled off one final twist by revealing that James was actually Nour in the last scene. Imagine the shock that would have given viewers! It's the kind of revelation that could have changed how we looked at the entire story.
Then again, if a second season happens, perhaps that possibility isn't entirely off the table.
Not a perfect drama by any means, but definitely one I wouldn't mind returning to.
I don’t trust this drama anymore. I said before it even started that I was afraid it would end the way The Third Charm did, especially with SKJ once again playing a man who loves someone deeply, shares an entire lifetime of emotions with her, and then eventually decides that loving each other also means knowing when to let each other go.
And I can already see the groundwork being laid here.
She isn’t merely someone he loves. She became his hero before she became his lover. She protected him when the people who should have protected him failed him. She loved him without conditions when his own family gave him every reason to believe love came with a price. And in return, he has loved her with this enormous mixture of devotion, gratitude, loyalty and almost a sense of debt.
But that is exactly what worries me.
They have already seen so much of each other. They have suffered together, protected each other, loved each other and carried each other through things most couples would never survive. There are almost no illusions left between them, nothing hidden behind the romance, nothing left to discover. And dramas sometimes mistake that kind of complete familiarity for the end of a relationship, as though once two people know each other completely, the only meaningful thing left for them to do is let go.
I hope this drama is smarter than that.
Because love is not supposed to remain thrilling forever. A relationship does not become meaningless simply because the mystery is gone. Sometimes knowing someone completely and still choosing them is the more difficult, and more meaningful, form of love.
And I especially don’t want his gratitude toward her to become the reason he walks away. He does not owe her a noble breakup. He does not have to repay everything she did for him by releasing her from him. If anything, his responsibility now is to stop seeing himself as someone she sacrificed for and finally accept that , she chose him.
So please, for once, don’t give me the beautiful, mature, bittersweet "we loved each other enough to let each other go" ending.
Let them discover that after all the rescuing, suffering, longing and sacrifice, there is still one thing they haven’t really learned how to do together: live an ordinary life and keep choosing each other when there is no crisis left to save them from.
That would be far more meaningful to me than another beautifully written breakup.
BO biggest problem was he looked for validation from someone he shouldn't have.
In that desperation he did dirty to his friend, even though it wasn't his fault, but the guilt remained and he has been paying all his life since that event.
His mother is not evil either but because her good for nothing father is just an ass hole so she made decision that she must pay for.
As for JY I know the drama will never go for revenge mode, hence good people of Korean drama and he will forgive as for him he loved him as a friend and wanted him successful.
So I am not satisfied with stories like these where one suffer for nothing and in the end they forgive and live happily ever after....that is just fucked up utopian end of every fucking Korean drama.,
l hate people like mochi, who took advantage of someone situtation to steal them. moochi is like ovulating for Krit and is dying to spresd his legs… sorry for this obscene sketch of my words but Moochi is like this ans Krit os mo better…here is Mochi and in Maniac the fucked up doctor friend.
what is the last episode??? what the hell happened they really owe us an explanation it felt wrong episode, not even incomplete….it just felt waste of time, one of the worst finale and one of the worst way to end something shame on people who approved it and it got even aired,.
I give this an 8 because it’s a classic and damn good. I just hope Mong won’t end up being a sad puppy. Given Thiar’s flirty nature, and the fact that he’s clearly already in love with Mong but just hasn’t realized or admitted it yet, I really hope he doesn’t break Mong’s heart too badly.
the post breakup cheap things he did, he could have done sooner if he was going to be this ordinary...really one never learns until they get a final blow. Standing high people forget the fall is equally lethal.

i dont know if what I wrote you guys can relate but the state I am in and the way thia series is I am pushed to more sadnesses but it is giving me strange warnth.
currently I am in state of stress and anxiety…and I am not enjoying anything… but this series even though not goving me the vibes i need as I consume such work if life is okay, but let me tell you it is one of those series where you shut your door, turn off lights either sit alone or with your loved one and watch it on projector, laptop or on something big but quietly and sharply…as even though I am not in quiet phase of my life this has managed to seep under my skin. this is nothing exceptional but it is made with so much love and beautiful and simple dialogues with superb acting, that it is giving me tears beacuse It is pinching my pain, and I find this beautiful.
I am going to be auper dissatisfied with the remainder of series as first the epaiodes were cut, second their breakup and then immediate reconciliation with ML growth 0, and FL giving in so easily. No one can learn from a breakup, specially if it is a habit. Even if they do the episode aren’t enough to make me believe that.
