15 min of first episode and now I am already irritated. Guys, is this series good? is it worthy to watch?
First 2 episodes are shaky....but it gets better suddenly by third. Their chemistry suddenly improved and they managed to carried the show. Story is typical but their chem is what what the show, specially from 5-6-7 show became really good, 8th is going to come today with heart break but it will be resolved quickly since it is last episode.
The only person I wish they could have recast to make it perfect was Torn character...actor did an amazing job, but even though main couple was shaky, Tae did much better job with Tupfah than Saur did with Torn, or perhaps it is writing fault but let me tell you, all of this is covered by two side couple, their moments, and presence was worthy every scene.
Also I didn't disliked main couple, they somehow in their endless push and pull, managed to push the viewer away. However, they did have chemistry, not as much as other two couples but I felt it, don't know about others.
I mean for a 4 episode, there is too much drama, they should have kept it light hearted, but they made it sad plus bitch conflicts.
I am all up for no romance as well, but for 4 episodes, you are adding:
unrequited love, misunderstanding, celebrity downfall, illness, death, bitch people, jalouse SFL. and a fucking separation, when there ship hasn't even sailed yet.
I mean was it really worthy. in my opinion not so much.
It clearly says first love that goes all the way 1999 to 2018. What cliche's are you talking about?
If a setting was in present and story had such elements I would have agreed on that.
But it was past, and it shouldn't be called cliches, it should be considered, "classic" love story.
Cliche represents an idea that lacks imagination or innovation.
This is a simple love story with no misunderstanding but fate playing games with them.
FL didn't lied, ML didn't lied, but it was a natural flow of story and occurances between them.
There isn't a single moment cringy, overbearing, boring or where I feels, that plot is being overused.
The story, the emotions, the writing, the depth, the acting, the complexity, the direction, the special effects, background score, background music, and the 2 SONGS on which this series is based, is executed breathtakingly. I don't know where the problem is?
A plot used over and over again, still requires imagination on how to make it new, and this series just does that. Period.
EP8 was a rare sight to see someone saying those wise words to someone they love truly but also want to make them come to senses and be responsible for their feelings.
One of the best, one of a kind, breathtaking in every aspect.
One of the best winter show in a long long time.
The direction, the acting, the faces, the cinematography, and above the very basis of this series the SONG - its magical, just magical.
I am from a place where foreign exposure is not much, but I heard this song back in 2000 and it scored on my memory, twenty-years after they made a series that resonated with a song so beautifully that every episode was worth rewarding.
Gosh, Takeru is indeed the actor of JP and what can I say about Hikari, with such elegance she played Yae.
It is literally the best career role of XK. He did more that he could to become Yang Hua, fanfuckingtastic acting and it suits him the most. He overpowered Yangmi, I mean he swallowed her in terms of performance.
no sympathy to KCR, no matter how bad your family situation is, she can't vent her anger on others. People live so much hard life and they still are nice to others. So I have 0 sympathy for KCR for behaving like a cunt. I would have filed complain to HR for asking someone to sleep with them, when not dating, no relationship. Period.
My gut feel is Seok Jae Boom did it.1. He have blackout/memory issue.2. I find it so odd that he tries to get…
It is possible that JB accidentally killed WS, when WS tried to confront him on their relationship. And that A Jung secret boyfriend might be Jb whop tried his best to be straight . And that created rift between JB and WS.
It has been a hbit of cable and satelite television of Korea by using LGBTQ storylines and then turn them into bromance or give them sad endings.
Unfortunately, the very basis of this series is based on such storyline. Revenge of Others is typically going in a direction where my hunch is telling me.
Based on what has happened so far, is Seok Jae Beom and Park Won Seok were dating. But kept it secret because of stigma and fear of their families and the status around. There secret was outed to Gi O Sun.
SJB, who may be was put under conversion therapy when his parents knew and he tried to commit suicide.
Gi O Sun might as well also like SJB or just a jealousy (Queer bating) threatened WS to do his dirty works but then WS also got to know secret of WS that have him killed.
May be GOS had Sa Jung Gyeong (the bully and rapist) killed WS. We will know later. But so far, who series is based on the secret identities of WS, JB and OS.
Also, the secret BF of Hong A Jung might be JB as he tried his best to be straight.
Also it is a possibility that JB killed WS when he tried to confront him on their relationship.
What I gather from 2 episodes is that KJH loves CJW and he likes him as well. But KJH wants to protect CJW at any circumstances, so he is keeping him under his radar and not letting him do anything just because he is afraid that CJW will get hurt.
Initially I thought may be CJW is a ghost writer of KJH and keeping CJW after the incident for his benefit, but it is wrong, however I am still skeptical of KJH as he protects him like he is hiding some secret.
That’s where HTY comes in, who has unlimited faith in CJW and will encourage him to do anything, even if it is hurtful, as an editor he will make sure CJW comes out of his fear and face the true of him as he did nothing wrong. And in that process, they will fall in love.
I liked KJH but his protection and keeping CJW under his eye 24/7 is not right for him. Also, there is very low-key romance between them, although they are couple, but they don’t have romance or chemistry. It feels like KJH wants to keep CJW for some benefit or has ulterior motive.
It is possible that KJH feels insecure towards CJW as both are writers and he knows the strength of CJW writing is better than him. He loves him, but he does have insecurity. That’s what I felt.
So, the conclusion Is - after the incident, KJH and CJW becomes couple and KJH wants to keep CJW in a bubble. Also, KJH feels inferior to CJW and deep inside he is actually okay that CJW career has ended, because the incident of CJE has given KJH a chance to shine. So, he keeps discouraging (or I felt) CJE to write under pseudonym or not fully allowing him to write.
But the entry of HTY will change everything as he wants CJW to comes out of his fear and do whatever he desires, giving him an opportunity nobody would offer. KJH will come to truly embrace CJW but it will be too late and the end game is CJW and HTY.

This drama is not set in modern main storyline.

Breathtaking, sublime and supreme!
I am not a toxic fan. So that a difference between me and you.
