there is not much plot to it, it is truly a 12 or 10 episodic drama, have no idea why they dragged it to 16. Given first episode there is not much suspense to hold on to rather a case by case episode why JW will teach GR that there is more to death than just saving people from spikes.
I haven't read webtoon so don't know but thats how I see this series.
Last episode was a total lost. It never made any sense from the appearance of "sun-set" to Theo leaving for nothing. It was useless even if the explanation was given. If you are going to make things turned upside down in last episode, then you better do it in a proper way and leave the arc open for other season or cliffhanger with good writing. But trying to put all piece together in finale is never a good idea and Thai BL will never learn this.
Also the fake ass CGI ruined everything as well. It truly had potential but it failed big time.
Soo hyuk has previously played grim reaper in some miniseries of 8 ep I think. He was a tailor in it and damn one hot tailor. No wonder he is suited best at runways.
original one is one of the rarest and most unique series, it is not usual time travel drama, you have to watch very closely to understand the story and FL travel.
Don't know about Korean one, but Taiwanese one was sure done beautifully.
Magical and Disney story. That is all I can describe this series with.

The letter thing is very very old but oddly satisfying and full filing in every aspects no matter what year is it.
XZ has stole my heart for his performance. He indeed is not famous just by his pretty face. Although I am not a fan of him and usually I don't expect from a CN even a good one but I do believe there are greate rom-com actors from CN who takes their acting job seriously and just not flaunt their pretty faces.
So how was the storyline? Was it interesting?(Let's please forget about the cast for a while.. I hate when a drama…
Just so you know JHI is one of the best actor of his generation, when it comes to acting he is prime example of an actor for me, he is not your popular known guy, but he has fair share of truly deserving popularity. His previous work speaks volumes of his versatility and wide range of roles he can portray without making much effort. So yeah, if he is in it, hype is worth it.
I generally follow K-pop for other reasons, and not particularly for music, so I never educate myself on all K-Pop artists more than I have to. So KJS acting was a surprise, she was good in it, if not best. I can’t say more than that, because I don’t follow her.
Regarding story, it was hyped by people and not because of cast, because of the contents in it share sensitive issues.
As you also know, that after much fuss, they aired it by tweaking some scenes and storyline, which we are not aware of what the cut or omitted– so if you ask the story that got to air, it is completely different from what people were making fuss and it never reached the point of wow factor.
It is your typical Titanic story. So, you go figure what the beginning, and end looks like.
I rated 8.5, 70% because of the acting, mainly because of JHI, YSA and KHY.
Korean BLs are best, as we know hoe emotional, sushy and quick to act Korean series and mostly Asian are like that. Thai BL has established itself as experienced industry and they series are exploring wide ranges of plots and arcs, while KBL is sticking to good old concept that is extremely well made and acted, so can't complain a bit.
Blueming is the best KBL to finish first quarter of 2022.
