I saw something today. I read that LYN mentioned in an interview that the director gave him and Song Zu'er an advance copy of The Legend of Shen Li (referencing episode 31) as an example for the make-out scene. Honestly, I think LYN and Song Zu'er killed it! Their passion felt way more intense and genuine than what I saw in The Legend of Shen Li. No knock on Zhao Liying - she's an amazing actress and really tried - but I felt Lin Gengxin just couldn't kiss to save his life. He looked so awkward and lacked any emotion, like an amateur kisser. I was honestly feeling so awkward for her! It was just so unconvincing. Sorry to any fans of The Legend of Shen Li and Lin Gengxin, no offense intended, but that's just how I felt watching it.
They really assassinate the ML character by made him puppy, jealous of some unnecessary person and becoming love…
It's interesting how some may see the ML as "weaker" once he's married. While the "fierce warrior turns gentle with his beloved" is a classic trope, it's also incredibly realistic. Think about it: many men who are absolute forces of nature in their professional lives - conquering the business world, slaying deadlines, holding positions of power - often show a completely different, softer side to the women they love. They might be decisive and unwavering in the boardroom, but at home, they can be absolute puppies with their wives. This isn't a sign of weakness; it's a testament to their humanity and the depth of their love. It shows they feel safe enough to be vulnerable, gentle, and utterly devoted. Far from taking away from their strength, it often makes them even more lovable and relatable. So, the storyline isn't far-fetched at all - it's a reflection of a very real and normal aspect of male relationships.
how does everyone feel about episode 29? was it more than you imagined? or were you disappointed? I read earlier comments that LYN said there is no kissing. and I was going to lose it if all the build up only leaves us with a forehead peck. curious to know what everyone thinks. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I am totally with you! I am heartbroken for him for her not telling him about the secret tunnel, and for him to…
totally understand and I’m not disagreeing with you. I wish she told him sooner and of her own volition rather than him finding out from someone else, and worse yet, in a critical time that could potentially cost him dearly.
That fight was devastating, he loves her so much he's willing to do anything for her and she never actually trusted…
I am totally with you! I am heartbroken for him for her not telling him about the secret tunnel, and for him to find out about it like he did. he looked so hurt and disappointed. 💔 but as a woman tho, I can completely sympathize and understand why she did it. she is solely reliant on him - should he change his mind one day (men and women are fickle) and feels differently about her, or if he decides to take a concubine, she needs to have plan b as a backup. it’s like the full time housewives today that do not have an income, should their husbands mistreat them then what are they going to do? it’s understandable if they tuck away a little money for a raining day.
I’m on episode 11, and I find Chen Ki Xi so annoying! I don’t know if it’s the way she says ‘老公’ in that whiny tone that annoys me, or her accent that grades on my nerves, or perhaps it’s the way she tolerates her husband’s infidelity. on the other hand, love Luo Man!
Personally, I think Liu Yu Ning is crazy, insanely handsome and these few comments I see about his appearance…
I couldn’t agree with you more! I’ve watched a lot of c-dramas over the past several years, and I can’t think of anyone that’s as handsome as him. sure, there are ‘cute’ or ‘pretty’ actors out there, but none that are masculine, alpha male type (on and off screen). people can talk about his ‘small eye,’ but I find his eyes mysterious, full of intrigue, and so captivating.
I think he’s incredibly talented, and happy to see him rise in popularity and given more male lead roles. so happy to see his hard work paying off! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I was trying to be good and wait a few more days for more episodes before starting but then I gave in because…
oh sis, I told myself the same thing. I was going to only watch one just to check it out, and told myself I will wait till after ALL the episodes are out. ummm yeah right! I find myself going straight for the TV in the morning 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
