That bridal carry scene was hilarious and can't they give the actor playing nhai some acting lessons?... He can't cry to save his life.... His emotional crying scene when he tried to leave ai was pure comedy. I love ai, I thought we will have a troublemaker lead from the series synopsis.... But we ended up with a mature, understanding and a loving lead..... Unfortunately with each passing episodes he is becoming more of a babysitter than a boyfriend to his own lover lol I know this is a low budget production... But this is just bad.... Not bad bad but hilariously bad.... Bad writing, bad editing/directing and bad acting.... funnily enough I can't even get mad.
I had to double check reading the title.... Oh lord! This will be epic if both lead agreed to s2 .... We just need a good screenwriter and an ambitious director
Last episode, the series makers tried to give substance to yai mangkorn relationship.... Aka the star gazing drive and the enemies to friends suggestion from mangkorn .... That was out of the blue plot twist but it had potential if it was persuaded and executed with some character development goal in mind ... Even the sudden shift of mangkorn personality could have been better explained with some flashbacks ..... But no they decided to destroy that too and go back to f*ckboy character at that cherry kissing scene in the dark alley where yai happened to walk into lol. Mangkorn is a WALKING RED FLAG at the moment Yai character is for me more understandable and less confusing as mangkorn's. Yai is also a f*ckboy but I reckon not as much as mangkorn.... But he is also, sensitive, spoiled and a bit naive afterwards .... We see more of him falling in love with mangkorn and how confused he was when mang started to shift personality and was even open to mang friends suggestion, he waited for him and was mad at him, then again happy when mang showed interest in him.... He is more of a teenager in love tbh. One thing is disturbing me..... That attempted SA scene in ep 1 are the blackmailing are just brushed under the rug ... I think they should at least make a scene or two addressing the issue instead of random filler scenes.
Again, with this budget and nice cinematography and leads with chemistry ..... We couldve had a better story line than the source material or this.
To put the disagreement to rest once and for all: About P'nine character.... 1st we are half way through the series, ofc there will be new characters coming in.... Aka nine and Hong. Nine is an old acquaintance of yai.... In the novel, their fathers used to be business partners at some point and also in the novel they were just p' and nong. It's totally normal to encounter an acquaintance from years ago and go down the memory lane and ask for updates on family and business. But, my bet is P'nine is introduced here as a potential yai admirer. The series is a little bit different than the novel.... They wanna add some plot to the non existing one in the source material, but it's just messy and incoherent.
one positive thing i should credit the actor playing yai for .... this episode had a glimpse of his potential, his emotional scene was well delivered. if he gets a really good professional acting lessons and nice project with QUALIFIED writer and director, he could really shine
The first half had me like: am I watching a new series with the same actors and characters? Am I missing smthg?... Then the second half had me like: this is the mess and wasted potential I signed up for lol. We are officially passed the half mark in this series and it's all over the place as ever.
For people criticizing and comparing both couples ... I would say to each his own. PayuRain couple were .... Definitely an interesting pair, but I would say this, Rain was cute but also foul-mouthed, airhead, naive and on many occasions tactless.... He needed some mature, cunning (to not say manipulative) hot daddy to tame him, shape him and keep him elated.
PrapaiSky couple is just THE STANDARD for me.... Whatever your past was... The person you are with is all that matters, be it a playboy or a victim... Sky is your sassy vulnerable friend and prapai is like his therapy session. Sky needed someone to put him first, to show him that he is a person worth of love, effort and respect. Him giving a chance for prapai to be this close to him is more of sky giving himself another chance at love.... Which is extremely painful and taxing if you are victim of betrayal (whatever that betrayal was, emotional or physical). Prapai is just raising the bar... He is the definition of modern chivalry and I am living for it.
PrapaiSky couple just oozes love, sincerity and tenderness. Prapai may have been a playboy but he is not malicious, cunning, arrogant or self absorbed hot daddy.... He recognized his feelings towards Sky, accepted them and faced Sky properly .... He was a little pushy at the beginning but definitely not creepy. And when he told Sky I will take your body and heart... You can really sense his pure intentions and that honest answer abt not knowing when his feelings will expire is the epitome of any couple communication goals. Sky may be sassy, and straightforward but he is just a broken innocent lovely boy that held his defences up and high for so long and protected himself at all costs, he may give you his body but his heart is sealed and wrapped in bandages... Prapai for him was like a lovely spring walk after a long cold winter... Confusing, refreshing but most definitely heartwarming. When he thought to himself : "please p'pai don't get bored with me, don't leave me" I wished to give him a well deserved warm hug. Sky not opening up to prapai means he is not ready to face his past.... Not everyone is ready to reveal the worst parts of themselves to the other.. the dirty and the ugly ... Not everyone has the courage to face whatever bad happened to them. Some people just need patience, love (any kind) and definitely a lot of sincerity. And that's what praipai have shown to sky and that's why the ice wall around this boy's heart is starting to melt .... And I am here for the journey (even without the NC parts)
I finally ended up reading the novel this is based on and bloody darn! My respect for the series has gone up several…
I thought I would need therapy after finishing that mess of so-called novel.... The mpreg plot at the end, made think I am hallucinating or something.. The series is disappointing cuz people expected much after the trailer.... But reading the novel will make you grateful for the lackster series.... It's still .... Meh tho...
