I had high hopes for this drama all thanks to the quality trailer.. however I was a little disappointed by the first episode and reading all those comments about the source material being worst, I thought why not read the novel to prepare myself for what's to come? And I tell you, after finishing the novel yesterday I am still a bit confused about what my actual final feelings are. The novel is labelled by the AUTHOR him/herself as a porn with a plot ( but I didn't see any plot there lol ) anyway... The story went from smut to comedy really quick that after a certain chapter I was like : is this the same story which I have been reading? What's going on ? What alternative universe is this ? I swear after yesterday rollercoaster.... My advice for you is to take this show as it is, cuz if the series follows the novel, you will only be left with utter confusion... At least for me. So no expectations is my motto when watching this. As for my fellow novel readers, if you have to describe the story with one sentence, what would it be? I will go first: WTF is going on here?
What was that?! Who drugs and films someone because they're competing for a girl's attention? What shit is this?…
I completely agree. Overdramatic ... I forgot this word exists till I watched this 1st episode. Also, it seems like the series is your typical wattpady bl story written to cater to the fangirls thinking that throwing two good looking guys together in a cool set will break the deal. We evolved, but the show makers didn't... I'll stick around though to see what's next.
The 1st episode was sooooo damn slow with not much context and insight. The actors are decent.. not quite good but enough to not annoy you the whole episode, the cinematography, especially the color palette is a killer... It seems their budget is really €€€... So my bet is the lackluster of this series would be the screenwriting... They should pick up the pace and learn when to slow down when there is so much going on... not the way around. I will stick around for the next 2 episodes to properly review this instead prematurely ditching it.
Is pakin a young master or just old man? Cuz p'chai said his boy was sick so he won't be present at the race... Is his boy, his lover or his son? If it's his lover, then can we have his story as a series after this, I think it would be interesting. Weird ik
Eegh. Someday these two will be put in something good and they'll take over BL. That love scene had first-rate…
I came to the comments section before I watch episode 6, and everyone was praising and hyperventilating over the NC scene and then you are the only comment that criticized that scene objectively and I was like , what the hell is this one talking abt while everyone here is commenting the total opposite? Then, I watched ep 6 and that particular scene but my mind found it funny cuz all the faulty details that you pointed to were there and I had to pick up my phone and scroll down many comments just to tell this: YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!
The 2nd ML is LITERALLY your typical 2nd ML.... he is a nice touch to the story. That's it The mystery vibe around Jung ji hoon is helping the story and gives some spice to his for-now-a-little-frustrating character Honestly, I am more invested to know about the background story of Sang eun, Madame Yoo and Jung ji hoon more than the romance ... The latter is a bonus and stress reliever for me.
That dream of hers came out of nowhere... But definitely entertaining. I think Sang eun at this point should seriously consider going to therapy. Her mental state is seriously affected by ALL: her upbringing, the arranged marriage incident (that we need to uncover in the upcoming episodes), her "profession", her past life and future one ... Her family and Madame Yoo... She needs A LOT of healing .
I haven't seen ep 6 yet, but the people criticizing rain's character for its childish trait should walk down the memory lane and remember how childish we ALL were when we were 19 yrs old .. even if you think you weren't, I bet you had your moments too.
Gwang nam and Swung eun have such a magical chemistry .... If he was not written as a gay character, I would've definitely rooted for him to end with the FL
Honestly, this show is more than what I had expected to be ... In a good way. I am now invested in what's coming. Gwang nam and Sang eun relationship is the friendship I never thought I needed
Miho loved Changho wholeheartedly, as for PCH he just felt grateful to her for being there for him and happy that he has someone to call family... That is it. He loved her but not her kind of love imo.
I don't know what to think of this ending... Well it is what it is. Imo, Gong jihoon came out of all of this mess as the final winner ... No losses, just gains.

Only 2 episodes left and too much to do.
