I want to watch it so much but god give me time and patience to watch 38 episodes. I binge-watch and 38 is a lot for a single sitting. I love how long it is, as a Xiao Zhan fan. But as a viewer, I forget time. I ask to be spoiled as much as possible so I can watch it at speed. Spoil me, please
Almost similar like my thoughts about this show... But there are some things here and there I didn't quite understand…
This problem seem to be in every series. But for this, I have not seen uncut yet and I am assuming all missing might be in uncut version. Small/new production also have of issue of budget, so I assume there might be some of that too. Like the auction(?) scene was missing in YT but they showed something that shows that filmed something for that, and I assume it might be in uncut. Uncut are famous (in my eyes) for the spicy scenes which from this series seem to be missing in great amount and I see no chance of them happening in uncut for no reason. And here it says uncut are of average 70 min. So I assumed the flow is like that in YT so viewers watch uncut for whole series not just or that 1 episode. But if the problem remains like that in uncut then I will go with theory that they cut some scenes to fit budget but failed to consider how minute things can be important for story flow.
I see nothing wrong in this series. It may be slow but satisfying. It is nice to see Pat having a crush and then knowing Jeng is his boss and seeing him differently, trying to understand him and not being blind in love. The internal turmoil inside Jeng and his trying to get close to all and not just Pat is nice too. As I said, satisfying. And I like how Jeng is not sugarcoating or ignoring Pat's mistakes. He is harsh but it is an office, it is work and you cannot be like 'It's okay'. You will lose work and balance will be off too. So I don't think Jeng's behavior is that bad. People complaining about little moments; not always it has to be kisses or grand things to spark a love. I don't know about uncut, but the one on youtube is just nice and good for me. So far, I like this series.
Drama was dragging too much but it was okay. That Su Ying character was unnecessary in my opinion. She was not needed to make viewers question. That character would have been a great addition if we did not know everything that is happening in WenJie. Because we know what is happening that character is unnecessarily boring and stupid. The motive might be to show that he is making dumb decisions, but seriously what was needed at this point was someone to enter his life and tell him to see things differently. The main character is just a child, a child who grew up without parents and suddenly all chaos is happening. The detective is a great character but he is not enough. I might drop because I cannot see that Su Ying character. This may be unnecessarily boring but it is interesting too if you can skip some parts.
Trust the victim first. Always. But what one should do if the victim herself is a predator and do the worst things to others, even to minors? I am genuinely curious. Should I trust her who will not think about what she is doing or trust a man who did nothing aggressive?
I'm probably poking the fire here, but I don't understand why this was so popular. I tried to watch it 3 times,…
You are not alone. I usually binge-watch dramas and only take breaks if the story's emotions are too much for me or if it is very boring. And this takes the boring title. FL and Seo Yul's romance looked more like Seo Yul's pov and not hers. And I am very convinced she did not romantically like him, more like a crush that was formed by missing him and living alone but not love.
I cannot convince myself to watch it till the end but ML and FL have nice chemistry (which of course will change in s2) and it is less heartbreaking (like I need time to watch something filled with fewer emotions of revenge and darkness) so it is good. Good but boring and not satisfactory.
I will continue watching because I promised a friend. But never 3 times. I forgot whole story in 3-4 day break from it. Sometimes I question if drama is not good or if I have watched too many good ones and none in my mind can beat those.
It is nice. Till ep 8 it was fantastic and good to watch but after that, it was boring. Say the purpose they showed from starting was completed and it got boring. Currently watching ep 11 and it is boring, few funny scenes are like fresh air in a boring drama. Not worth wasting 1 hour for them so I am watching at 2x speed. But the weird thing is that you don't want to skip any episode because Mu Deok is fun to watch and the new trio was a good development. There is a plot and it makes sense for almost every minute but they did the mistake of giving us just 1 purpose from starting and finishing it in middle. 19 more episodes to watch. My friend, who watched it told me it is worth it in the last few episodes so maybe I have to drag and waste data and time until the 18th episode? I am guessing.
If we talk about actors then I have no complaints. Zero. They are amazing and I feel they all are the best. Crown Prince is my favorite. Loving him.
They said fuck the story. Let us just give love scenes and make it up to ep 12. At starting I thought it was going to be good. And the main and second couple will get a good spotlight. But the second couple is still at ep 1. And wtf they cut so many scenes for the second couple. Third couple? Forget them. Just forget. I am watching from ep 1, since Feb 19. If they had told me it was going to be boring and nothing in future I would have not wasted my time waiting every week, rather binge-watched it after it was over. Did I wait 2 weeks to see nothing? Love scenes without a plot are not interesting. They could have released a special episode with those and included some real plot that they cut for the second and third couple. Or rather have not shown them or said that there will be 3 couples. There is no story for them. Wtf is this. I am disappointed. Watch it for the main couple and even if the second and third couple sounds interesting, you will get nothing for them.
I have seen so many spoilers for this that I lost interest. It is cute, and a typical bl setting. Gmm loves university I think. Not surprising or any different setting. And I would have not minded spoilers if they were just 1 or 2... It is definitely good. But you have to watch it without any spoilers (zero spoilers) and without reading any comments. Also do yourself a favour of not trying to guess what plot is, how story will go in future. Just watch it when you don't want to use your brain and enjoy it. With too much guessing of things, it may become boring. Not slow, just don't use brain and its beauty is slow. It May Sound like a mystery in summary and you may want to guess too who is Enchanté but don't. Let story flow. Some drama beauty is letting the story flow.
I am pissed that I just encounter spoilers for this drama. At this point, it's so boring... I may try to rewatch when my brain forgets everything. Why spoilers will ruin it? Because its not something very different. Cliche story-like. So if you want to enjoy it, just let the story flow. Don't try to find fault or goodness in it. It May look slow if you try finding things in it. 10 episodes are not a lot. On a day with too much on your mind, this may be will make a good binge-watch because it is cute and leads are handsome to watch.
Do I need to watch Bad Romance? It says before the event of Bad Romance but Bad Romance aired first. Also there is second season of this. So just curious if I need to watch that series too or I can skip that and just watch this.
I didn't think this will end as it ended. Like everyone being dead and not getting caught by law or Jingtian getting a chance to know what killed his mom and not being able to yell or throw 2-3 punches. Plus, though starting was great like involving insects but later it reduced? Jingtian was not used much. Everything was seasoning no real food. But I loved how they showed that to hide 1 thing you lie thousand times and if more people know you go down in a rabbit hole of things. I would have loved it if Wen Bai could have been told that as a kid he was used and it was not his fault that happened and that main villain being punched by both or died, I don't care. But both brothers getting a happy ending. Not dying... Plot twists were good. The cases were interesting too. They were something different. Predictable but still different way of happening. Insects were a theme but not used as I thought it would have been. The first episode is a blast. But later... Disappointed there. In detective drama, I think of cases being solved and the struggle of them to catch criminals. It lacked it. In the end, all I remember is the ending, which was good but still a little disappointed (I am a sucker for a happy ending, so my personal opinion). Cases could have been more, some were too stretched. I loved the twin's case, it was good to slap the fact that while rushing towards truth you can face disappointment and maybe make others lose something. Thought was important in future but all died! He doesn't know anything! I thought his mother not just died because of seeing insects but them biting her or something like that? Darker? But it was a little soft but lightness make it best to binge-watch if you haven't watched. It is not something I will return to re-watch. It will get boring.
I'm confused why criticism bothers ppl so much tbh. Aren't we all here to trade views about this drama? How come…
If I haven't made it clear, then I will make it clear now. Too bad I am very bad with words. So bare with me. I am not against criticism. I said I will say things about there acting or even plot. And I have been saying it under episodes on youtube. Here I am talking about people not respecting Actors who are in it. If everyone was saying positive, believe me, I would have abandoned it even if it was good. But I am not okay with people saying mean things to actors. Also, as you said you have read it novel and good at ignoring. But not all are you. Not all are me. Not all are someone you and I can imagine. It bothers me that everywhere it is comparison. Not once I have seen people talking about how actually as a drama it is lacking. "If it was direct as the novel." "If it was direct as anime." "If only they would have done it like that." "If only it was included." These comments don't show any negativity of drama. Bad things about drama will be just it was different from the original work. It will be not about how poorly they fail to connect the story or how poorly they fail to arrange clues and mystery. Instead of treating drama as drama. It is being treated as shadow and some are too blind to just blame actors and disrespect them. And I am not going to side with any actor. I am itching to criticise some of the actor's certain emotions. But it is my policy to try to wait till it ends. And I am not saying others to do so. I am saying people to stop comparing it and treating it as a shadow. Drama is drama. Anime is anime. Novel is novel. There are times if something I love is being adapted in anime or drama. And I wait patiently. And if it is disappointing to me, I leave. I don't have ground to make an adaption shadow of the original. I can point out how nice it would be if certain things were from original work. But still, I do not have the right to go just criticise that certain work. Pointing out things and unnecessary over comparison is a different thing. And I said over comparison. Note it. It is not asking to be quite. It is asking to stop treating drama as anime. It is asking to be mindful of others. And just stop thinking all are asking to stop them from saying their views. It is turning into how to criticise drama to the point that only bad thing will be that it was poor adaption. No one is talking about how good or bad it is from viewpoint of viewers who are seeing this story for the first time. And that is my problem.
I am getting curious of this drama as some said to watch. But it's sad side. Is it really worth watching something sad? Should I wait for atleast 20-25 episode to come out and than binge watch or Just go for it?
But if the problem remains like that in uncut then I will go with theory that they cut some scenes to fit budget but failed to consider how minute things can be important for story flow.
