Park bo gum may be really favourite or has a big fandom. Otherwise ratings should be lower than now. Oh, special guests were fine and big name. Park bo gum 's popularity carried the drama not his acting. I mean he looks nice, portrayed a role close to his profession and that was ok. I loved his acting in hello monster and reply. Then my waiting start..... for a better project or performance of him. Still waiting.... The whole drama is ok, nothing more or less. May be it was a tribute to send hin off to military. And the leading lady.... well, she is the leading lady, director and writer trust her, the crew work hard for this project , so be it!

There were too many dramas with horrifying age gap from reel to real. & here until episode 6 we are ok with rara and jun pair! So why not now! 5 years gap, very matures for his age, not the over the top romance, let's just give him sometimes, he will grow up!!! Little mystery, light comedy, innocent romance..... And I don’t have the audacity to say she,as an actress, is not suitable for "this" kind of roles! She is an actress, so can take any kind of roles and give it a life. And it’s my point of view, the writer repeatedly cast her. So many netizens point it out too. It’s the writer choice(I respect that,otherwise I won't watch her work,there're too many option in dramaland to replace her,yet I wait for her work) but as a general audience I just wish she could work others for variation.

Mother-in - law and daughter -in - law 's relationship always hard part in asian dramas and here the Ex-MIL stunning the evilness. And sometimes there’s some character in dramaland God knows why they exists, Male lead's family member (sister) is excellent in stupidity. These are some frustrated elements. Otherwise, drama pace is really good so far.

Grandpa's illness mainly. FL has money problem / scammed but that's not the primary reason coz her sister offered her help latter after knowing the truth abt FL-ML real relations. She was raised by her father,simple family background , then get a job, from the glimpse of past she was pretty good at her job with strong yet common personality . Get married to rich spoiled, repeatedly abused and she always tries to run away from that household but never success . She was unconscious when the husband was killed.She clearly can't remember the night except the torture part.Her father died, she give up her daughter, so She served prison for ten long years with one motivation : Her Daughter. Her letter repeatedly returned, she knew in this war she had no armour. She is not powerful enough. Point to be noted, she never expressed the revenge plan or the avenge of her mother in law's cruelty in any earlier episodes. After knowing that her daughter abandoned by MIL Her attempt to threat/kill her MIL was silly mistake of simple mother. If it was planned like any other revenge drama where the lead become super powerful somehow, that old witch would definitely be in hell by now. (The writer humanize the characters in simple manner)
Her only wish to be with her daughter. If the old witch MIL leave her alone after all these years she will forget everything and move on. And JM also emphasis on happiness. They just want to live with their child. Happiness is the basic revenge plan here. But now they have to fight back. Kim Ho ran actually digging her own grave by pushing the common people with a simple lifestyle. Almost every lies told by ES is clear, now it’s the time for old witch exposure. 4 episodes left, they build the plot and make do and die situation , I am pretty sure they'll end it quite neatly(hopefully)
The old witch is pro villain but why the hell a creature like Se Mi exists! Why the writer needs her to become useless, reasonless, common senseless second lead!!! I am not expecting her hi bye mama type mother, nor she need ex wife of the year award, at least she should be someone worthy to be an agent of that Player! Such a typical waste of 2nd lead. If she helps them in latter episode (high probability) her behaviour (1-11 episodes) still inexcusable.
