well she was probably just trying to protect her daughter by sacrificing herself :( i also found it uncomfortable when she later cried for him and shit, like "he's your husband and a man afterall, even if he beats you"

many flaws but the characters shine over all that. no more episodes? no more scorpion?? how am i supposed to live now? and my precious valley king ah

(no spoilers, PLEASE) HI i love this but why does the dude zzs always have such a dead face? he does show expressions when he's worried or happy or like anything but he always just has this one dead blank expression on his face, i can't help but feel the contrast between him and the other guy bc he's so expressive and he's SLAYING i'm so obsessed w his acting. everyone's so good except the dying dude??

rewatching it after a whiiiile and oh my god, i can't i can't stop myself from wanting to sob and breakdown while at the same time i can't stop smiling and getting into my feels. i love them so much especially wei ying, he's the purest soul ever i wish me i could hug him. this breaks me apart everytime. love these guys to death.

yes i agree!! it did drag a bit but it wasn't senseless imo, just dramatic and kinda slow burn which did frustrate me but the music, excellent acting by the male leads and gorgeous cinematography made up for it.

yes but i think one advantage of splitting is that we can see the two parts objectively and clearly while watching in one go, it all mashes together and we get lost in our feelings. i feel like bc of this I've rated a lot dramas higher initially but when i think about them later after the high has worn off, i notice the flaws and look at things more objectively.

i don't hate it but this drama is like a slap in my face. the law is heavily flawed, countless people never get justice and the world doesn't work as perfectly as shown in part 2. thanks for making me feel hopeless again, I'll go watch smth better now.
