can some help me understand what mindset i should have when watching this show?

I've watched halfway through ep1(till the feast), nothing has captured my attention other than visuals ofc. I think what really threw me off was finding out the ml also transmigrated(possibly more) which, added to not being fully familiar with historical terms/systems, made me overwhelmed. especially it being someone powerful as the king who is also an outsider.

I dont think I watched too many "comedy' c-dramas,but i have watched mr.queen in the past

I'm not saying the drama plot or pacing was good at all because I had no clue what was going on through the whole thing and was just skimming after he got jailed . I'm just saying that is being overshadowed by hate of the FL is undeserved. I just feel like she was given a fair chance because of this dumpster fire. Every ig comment is just hate comments or harassment

this is so crazy man, people blame the success of the whole drama on the FL and yall talking about how korea bully the actors. From I understood she just played the role she was assigned, it didnt look very authentic but it was not bad at all.

i think somehow she will gain memories of her childhood back from Hyunwoo and recover

there are alot of frustrations in the story but the acting ,casting and production is so well done. Only thing i dislike is the need for every kdrama couple being connected from young/past. cant 2 strangers fall in love

that's what i mean he seemed so driven and smart but he broke down in their first interaction. I thought he and the princess was a classic enemies to lovers trope. It kinda seems to be that the power is unequal, like i thought he was the only person from An who could keep up with the leads but now he has shown weakness. I hope this doesn't go the same route as Wonderland of Love

I was really liking it and interested until ep17 when the third wheel came. I don't get it he was so calculated and bold but his image just went away when he got clingy. And doesn't he already have a love interest and getting married to the princess
