Bit boring at times
The drama was good but it has some boring episodes! The story loses its charm somewhat after 4th episode and again after episode 11. I kept waiting for some big twist or event to happen but nothing happens for a long time . In the beginning of the show, there is a huge emphasis on butterflies as they indicate towards something big. Those butterflies were the reason why both brothers keep moving and relocating but turns out it was not that big deal. The romance between Kang tae and Ko moon is also not very exciting. It just seems pretty obvious what will happen next.it’s predictable. Nothing to keep the audience on their toes and make them jump with excitement. The excitement elements are missing in its okay not to be okay besides that story has some weaknesses .

I wanted to write a review after i’ve finished the show but couldn’t wait as i needed to share what i felt till episode 10. I doubt it will change much after this point. Both the Male leads are my favourite kdrama actors. I didn’t sided with any of them before starting the show and decided to leave it on their character solely(whom I will side with).First episode was used entirely to build a connection between Ji pyeong and Dal mi and i instantly connected with the “GOOD BOY”. I felt a spark in his character and it didn’t took long for me to side with him. He played a guardian angel for Dal mi but he deserved to be a lot more than that. It was his efforts that held Do san and Dal mi togather till the middle of the show and i hated seeing all the credit taken by Nam do san. I feel like the writer should’ve exposed the situation to Dal mi in the beginning episodes and then led her heart to decide who she wants to be with. But poor Ji pyeong didn’t even got the window to be a love interest for Dal mi as she never saw him in romantic light and was only invested in Nam Do San. It wasn’t fair.
Nam so san although made a late entry but shined through the entire show with his innocent and kind personality. He portrayed a nerdy engineer guy so well. No one could hate him but I still feel like his personality was overshadowed by the “Nam do san” in the letters. He got Dalmi by luck though he slowly earned his place in her heart.
In jae’s character was wasted, she had a lot more potential than what her role was confined to in the show. She was used as a prop to make female lead look like a winner as they needed a character against the female lead. They were sisters and didn’t liked their rivalry and the that they were pinned against each other. it was unfair to injae and the character she could’ve been.
I don’t have much to say about Dalmi except that i wasn’t a fan of her in the beginning episodes but she grows on you as the show proceeds. Still she wasn’t as loveable as both of the guys were.
Over all startup was different show than many kdramas that are filled with cliches and typical romance. I liked it but hoped for a different ending. A happy ending for the good boy ☹️

I can watch it a 100 times and still won’t get bored.
One moment you are laughing your ass off and the other moment it gets soo intense. Nail bitting suspense keeps you watching episode after episode bcz you can’t wait to see what will happen next. And suddenly without realising you reach towards the end 😩Its perfect blend of comedy, romantic moments, political drama and action. Totally different than any other k-dramas that I have watched before. It kept me hooked until the very end which is rare bcz I get bored very easily.
Queens acting just blew me away she did it soo perfectly. The body language, the expressions and emotions all made it a hit. Though I felt bad when bong hwan returned back to his world and the queens soul comes back. It actually felt like something went missing. I feel like some clarity was needed here about the feelings between bong hwan and the king.
I loved the support characters. They did an amazing job. Added it to One of my favs list. Chefs kiss 😚

A Beautiful Drama with a Heartbreaking Ending
I just finished Snowdrop and... yeah, I have my thoughts and frustrations with that ending.I genuinely enjoyed the drama more than my expectations . But that finale? It was way too much to process. Now I completely understand why people call it a K-trauma.
My biggest disappointment was that Soo-ho and his comrades went through ALL. OF. THAT. just to end up dead. 😭 What was the point of dragging the hostage situation till the very end, making multiple deals with the ANSP, and giving the spies (and us viewers) hope that they might actually survive... only to kill them all anyway?
I was so relieved when they finally escaped the dorm. I thought, "Finally! They're free!" But then Soo-ho decided to go back inside. I literally yelled, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? JUST RUN! He basically dug his own grave. The main couple wasn't going to get a happy ending anyway, so was it really necessary to kill him and all his comrades?
Another thing that disappointed me was the romance. Soo-ho and Yeong-ro had amazing chemistry in the beginning, but after the first few episodes the romance was almost nonexistent. They barely got any meaningful moments together. By the end, the story became all about survival, and honestly, I just wanted them to stay alive, even if it meant living separately. The spark, chemistry, and emotional tension they had at the start completely faded. What was supposed to be a romantic story slowly turned into an action thriller, with the romance pushed into the background. I didn’t mind that but I really wanted more Soo-ho and Yeong-ro... but alas.
I have to give a special shoutout to Dr. Kang. She was an absolute boss. I did not expect her character to become one of my favorites, but she surprised me in the best way possible. Smart, fearless, and always in control I'm so glad she survived.
Han-na annoyed me so much in the beginning, but she really redeemed herself. She played such an important role in trying to save the students, and by the end, I loved her too. These two boss ladies carried themselves so well.
One thing the drama never cleared up, though: What happened to Soo-ho's sister? Did she survive? I kept waiting for some closure, but they just... never mentioned her again.

If you want to watch a light rom-com don’t hesitate to watch
Ik i am in minority here but i really enjoyed watching the matchmakers. As long as i feel entertained throughout 16 episodes, i’ll keep watching the drama. The show has soo many laugh out loud moments. I almost choked. What i loved:
Our male lead: lord shim is hilarioussss. He is the funniest character in the show. His expressions are soo freaking funny.
Strong female characters: there are soo many strong and independent ladies in the show. Even the main villain is a women.
The matchmaking operation: the main theme of the show was to wed spinsters with old bachelors and entire process is hilarious.
The music is soo beautiful, gives a refreshing feel.
What I disliked:
The unnecessary murder mystery plot that made the show serious in 2nd half.
Matchmaking a kid with an older women. That was odd pairing and left a bitter taste in my mouth.
