Happy birthday didi Tian Hao... I wish you to grow even better and always be successful. Really enjoy your strong acting and subtle expression from your eyes. Kyaaaa!!! More.. more..
I had a hard time to watch Cdrama because of this voice-dubbing issues years ago. I feel that Kdrama has a more sincere production (as they use their own actor's voice) and just fall for some actors because of their voice as well. But the funny thing was, after I watched Another Miss Oh, I realized how hard it is to produce a drama (I've been taking it for granted...). After that I started my journey with Cdrama with more open mind, and boy I have no regret. If it's too childish (especially the woman's dubb), then I'll just turn off the volume and read the subtitle. Hahhahaa!
Decided to start my own subbing project after seeing that the official subs are...not how I would translate it,…
You're such a darling!! Yes, cultural reference does help a lot especially since Asian (not only Chinese I think) has a lot of poem, double entendres, proverb, etc.
Halo apa kabar? As I wrote above, I got to know Indonesian cos I noticed some doramas got subbed into Indonesian…
Honestly I prefer Eng sub than Indo sub but yes, some are only available in indo sub. Will check Hot Mom, thank you! My last impressive dorama was "This guy is the biggest mistake of my life" and before that "An incurabale case of love"
I stumbled upon this cdrama on youtube and finally binged it for 2 days. The acting, story and plot were top notch. I've become a huge fans of Stephy Qi, she really rocks! It's mostly business but it never gets boring. The kind of relationship and love depict here also feels realistic.
Waaahh thank you for writing this list! Coming from Indonesia, we're very familiar with dorama. I've watched dorama since 90s back at school days, far before Kdrama was such a hype here. Takuya Kimura was the king at that time (just like Kento right now). I agree with you that sometimes only in dorama land they can pull it off. One of my fav is Hayami Mokomichi for his totally wacky characters (he had many dorama with Aibu Saki but married other lady). Other idol turned actor that I found impressive is Iwata Takanori (except the obvious Yamapi and Jun Matsumoto).
So many handsome guys in 1 drama and they all can act, like really act! Eventhough the FL personality doesn't seem very strong, but underneath that, the actress act as 2 people and the transition is pretty clear. Not only her body language but even her tonal voice when she talked. Neat!! Such an underrated gem, I wish they subbed the whole series until Ep. 30. Kudos to screen writer and especially director.
Contrary, here writing is exceptionally well for a fluffy romance drama. First of all it is explained in excerpts…
I've watched other cdrama with this "habitual liar" trait --> My Girlfriend is an Alien and the lie made so many misunderstandings. Here, it seems to simplify things and get FL passed by her life easier. The outcome doesn't seem to deviate very much.
I do wish that someday Cdrama will get the viewer thinking by themselves and get the conclusion just like the intricate plot of Kdrama instead of having a psychologist to explain everything to ML (and us, viewer).
The fact that he's not only good with his acting but also sub his own character's voice made me adore him more. Either he's a hard working person who's willing to do it twice (coz most of Cdrama is subbed) or his Mandarin is quite good and understandable so he doesn't need other talent to sub him. More!! More!! More of JXB!!
Wow, this is such a long list but I enjoyed it very much!! I've deviated from Kdrama in the last 2 years and can't hardly believe myself that I landed in Cdrama. They way they talk annoyed me at first, and to found out that most are subbed explain it somewhat. But with light stories, beautiful cinematography, and cute interaction, I'm hooked. I've heard most of what's on your list but only watched 30% of it coz of real life :D Will make it as one of my reference, thank you!!!
(I'm currently watching The Trick of Life and Love btw)
It's one of a classic and quite risky for a Kdrama (especially at that time when TvN and JTBC were still baby). But the acting were really good and it's a recommended noona romance.
I think one of the reason the rating's low is the age group (I didn't realize MDL users are very young, like 13-17??) Mature viewers will understand and appreciate the humor and story but maybe not so much for younger viewers coz the actors were not hallyu super star. No wonder so many comments of "Tomorrow I'm having a test but I can't help it to watch this show...." :D
