I feel the same. It was worth it in the end. They are really just so adorable together. Their smiles and glances at each other make me feel like I'm intruding sometimes. haha

Title The Day of Becoming You Spoiler
I totally enjoyed this drama. I generally don't like body-swapping plots. When Secret Garden came out, I watched it then because I love the actors. I enjoyed it at that time. But after finishing it, I thought to myself, I didn't want to go through this again. LOL! It was mostly frustrating and really tiring for me. At the end of it, I was really just relieved that it was over.

But TDOBY is totally different. I enjoyed every second of it. I especially love the fact that there are no unnecessary subplots and dramas, and no evil villains and such. Even the annoying characters grew on me in the end. I mean, I didn't love them but I kinda understood where they are coming from. I get that they are simply the way they are. There are people like that in real life as well. We have people around us like that all the time. They're not some villain. They simply have their own goals and are just trying to achieve them. Unfortunately, they sometimes do hurtful things and hurt other people while trying to achieve their goals.

The story isn't something new as some already said. There are so many cliche moments. Also some parts are quite predictable. But I you know what? I still loved it. I think they executed it pretty well. Even the parts that were usually cringey for me, they turned out really cute and sweet. I also loved the OST and the sound effects. It was so extra but I loved it. It made the whole viewing experience that much more enjoyable.

Most of all I love love love Liang Jie and Steven in this. Their acting here was really good. It was believable and very relatable. They played each other really well. Wait no, they didn't just act like each other. They became each other. It's like they totally embraced being Yu Sheng Sheng in Jiang Yi's body or being Jiang Yi in Yu Sheng Sheng's body. And then the chemistry. Wow! Like really WOW! TBH, I was really doubtful at first about their chemistry. Looking at them during the first 2-3 episodes, I thought they don't fit each other. Jiang Yi's aloofness and Sheng Sheng's overly enthusiastic personality didn't seem to blend quite well. They were extreme opposites. And TBH Sheng Sheng's sunny personality was a little annoying for me at first. LOL! It was just too much to take in for the first episode. I was just too afraid to continue the drama thinking that it would be a complete fail. And I really hate to see that happen because I loved LiangJie and Steven in their previous works. And when they swapped, I was even more afraid that it would be annoying and tiring. But I was wrong! I was so happy that the everything fell into place when they first swapped. LOL. That doesn't sound right but it is. Once they swapped, the whole vibe and feel of the drama suddenly became right.

I usually hate misunderstandings in dramas. It kinda annoyed me for a while that they misunderstood each other for a few episodes before getting together. But I get that the story needed that. I'm just glad that it didn't drag on for longer. And that confession scene, from the may dramas I've watched over the years, I think I got tired of the over the top confessions already. That's why I was relieved and happy and touched with how natural and sweet their confession was. It was simple and heartfelt. Once they got together, they became one of the sweetest couple in dramaland. I think it would be hard to watch Liang Jie and Steven with other partners after watching this.

Lastly, I loved that Jiang Yi and Sheng Sheng stayed true to their characters until the end. As for the ending, I loved it actually. I think everything that needs to be resolved in the drama were properly addressed. The ending wasn't rushed. Actually, the pacing of the whole drama was consistent throughout. I understood the reason why the ending had to be that way. Still, it was a happy ending for everyone. Much love to the whole production and all the actors of this drama. I hope to see Steven and Liang Jie in another drama soon. I'm hoping for a season 2 of TDOBY but I'm really not expecting. I just wish they could work together again in the future. I'd love to see them in a historical or wuxia drama.
