Usually the Emperor gets killed but not this one. He was strategic and cunning enough that the uncles didn't over throw him before. It was a really nice twist. You know in this S1 everyone said Xuan was blind for not recognizing XY etc but I could say the same for XY in the whole drama that she couldn't see that Xuan loves her more than just a sister. I love their close relationship as siblings too. In this season, you could tell Xuan is very respectful of her feelings and choices. I think if she knew of his feelings earlier on she could reject him kindly and wish for their close ties to remain the same. And he would have thought hard, "Do I still want her in my life and still be close?" I think he would still want her close but let her live her life too. It's too bad the writer choose the extreme for him by making him extremely obsessed. I think my heart will always be unsettled and heartbroken for them. 😭💔
