From episode 23 her conversation with her grandfather, she can't be with XL/FFB because he's her family's enemy. He wouldn't change even for her so he didn't put her as his first priority. That's a big no for her plus he is constantly trying to kill Xuan.

This is not the first time of hearing this about CX in novel v. drama. ZWY is really doing a phenomenal job in embodying CX's heart and soul and bringing depth to the character. You can't help but to sympathize with him. I love his scenes too.
