2024 and still waiting for season 2 and this time focused on the exam takers :D
Yeah? Because this drama was such a hit in the first place? Or because we did not have ENOUGH of the exam takers like the younger brother of the ML and all his friends and their friends and their potential/love interests? Personally, I skipped them all. This would be better with NO TIME focused on the exam takers:D
There are billions of girls in world but it's always brother who fall for same girl in Asian drama
Exactly, and this drama's brother, I would cut him out completely. He is a surplus character I don't care about. He even has yet more surplus characters linked to him that no one cares about. They are completely unwatchable and only usable for skipping some screentime. I am really quick to deal with each episode, because there are so many characters that I ENTIRELY SKIP.
For peeps not happy with the OST drowning out the speech: The 9+ hour movie version, on YouTube, has the vocal…
Yeah, good ol' youtube, always so "concerned about copyright" that they don't hesitate to mute the whole sound of dramas that have scenes where some song (which mostly no one really cares about) happens to play in the background, deleting the WHOLE sound, including all the noises and dialogue. Plus they put notice covering half the screen, saying that they did this to protect the copyright of the said song, thus ruining also the image. I've seen such dramas on youtube. So, while what they do might be well received for this particular drama, in general youtube is NOT my go-to video site. There are other options on the internet! Sometimes it's like people were voodooed into believing that there is no other video site than youtube. You do know that internet is there for us, even if the whole Google falls. Right?
After the first 7 episodes, I started to skip ALL the 3 ML separate scenes, during which FL (the first FL only, I happily skip the second FL) is not present. She is actually the only one worth watching. I won't get info on whatever the males are plotting, only watch her reaction. AND I am more than fine with that.
why would you think that men with "feminine" looking faces can't be on top? I assume you aren't aware of the fact…
Yeah I am aware of it, xiba (I'm going to block you now, no offence), "thank you" for the lecture. But the line should be somewhere. That's why I expressed my opinion. Someone needs to point this out. Else in 100 years, there will be NO men, only women LOL. And the haircut problem is MASSIVE. They SO need to improve this in Asia. And not only Asia. I mean I love myself some Hawick Lau, but it pi..es me off to see sides of his head almost skinhead shaven and overly long top hair made into some kind of quiff on the top of his head in every drama. Whatever problem do they have with EVENLY short haircut. Just keep it simple. No need for a ton of hairproduct. Eighties are over. Aaanyways. Just as I expressed my opinion you express yours, kindly IN YOUR OWN COMMENT. That way watever you spew here I don't need to get the red bell notification. What do you think, I have nothing else to do, to read replies about each of my comments I made ever? Replies from someone I don't really care about, no offence. So, as I am sure you are the type who will write me again 10 times, I'm gonna block you now, bye bye.
Okay, I won't watch this according to the drama's Gallery & Tags. I like MALE Chases Female First, Calm FEMALE Lead - this has the opposite. I gather this is about a girl running after a guy. Plus that guy is Yamazaki Kento. While she could just comfotably have Sakaguchi Kentaro? But no, she'll leave him in the dust. Plus Sakaguchi Kentaro got a mushroom haircut. Okay, this drama got disqualified with me before watching it, lol.
I opened epi 8 and watched a few minutes and I did catch my attention go away from it completely, so I turned it off. So, for me, after 7 eps, it's boring :-D
He looks girly overall, as most of chinese MLs do nowadays. He looks more male on this drawing https://kisskh.at/photos/BdmdX6_3 Moreover, he does not have The Begonia with him here, to make it bearable :-D
By the way, I LOVE the FL in this. She is INTERESTING & pretty. She's not the loud, shrieking type, for once. She's not the clueless, pushover, saint self-sacrificing type, either. She's not devastated from being in love with the first handsome dude she meets. Did you notice the Calm FEMALE Lead Tag? OMG. It's like finding gold, LOL.
On the other hand, I don't like the second couple at all. Both annoying. After first 6 episodes, I started to skip them. About the 3 "fateful men" our FL becomes entangled with: one of them is ML, supposed to be equally interesting with his ambiguous identity, but is morelike a pretty doll by FL's side; one is the annoying 2ML briefly bumping into FL, then going on with his separate side-storyline; and one is the unappealing Lord of Yunpei, one of the 3 cities, who has the ambition to "unify the desert". While that's presented by soulful studying of the wisdom in the deserts scrolls, it stinks of the mundane building-of-empire notions typical for China/Russia (the only 2 expansionist countries left in our world).
Okay, after first 3 episodes, I took a pause, and returning to this I honestly don't feel like watching any more of it. I quit during episode 4... This is all kind of stuff I lost my patience with when I was like 18.
EPISODE 8: ML starts grumpily "dating" FL. Grumpily means, every time he does something nice to her, he says to her gruffly, that it's not for her, it's for the work's sake. It culminates into situation like after he obviously buys a present for HER, saying it's for their team, she asks him to let her treat him to a drink once, also saying it's for their team's sake. Girl learned to adapt, LOL. EPISODE 9: ML goes out of his way to demonstrate that he would never like a woman like FL (it's a bit childish, actually... yet no one openly laughs to his face) when he thinks that she supposed that he likes her. Then, he is shaken when he learns that it's her who likes him. But the damage is done, he already hurt her feelings. It reminded me of episode 1. EPISODE 10: ML is invited on a blind date with a "tall, fair, supermodel", which he accepts, saying in front of FL that he should not pass on "high quality woman". Implying that FL is "low quality woman". Harsh. Poor girl. In the revenge of fate, the blind date girl turns out to be a 30 yrs old woman who was paired with ML's actor in 2016 'Something about 1 Percent' remake. I think I described how close to "tall, fair, supermodel" she is in my review for that drama... So, I believe this was a deliberate joke by the producers:-D Meanwhile, FL & FL's friend are both girls disappointed in men. So, they go on a girls night out. On which they do A LOT of dancing & singing. It looks MASSIVELY exhausting. Especially to do while crying drunk:-D These koreans' stamina really is something else. EPISODE 11: ML is wondering why FL is not over the moon from being courted by a high quality man like him. It starts getting annoying. Then he himself has showed FL less "quality" side of him, talking to her while drunk as a skunk. She could see that he is nothing better, actually. And so could the viewers: even the silly side character, whose mother died, proven to have more depth than him. Are we supposed to cheer for such ML to get the girl? Meanwhile, FL spends a lot of time with the guy whom I comletely skip in his separate scenes, who is ML's younger brother (FL doesn't know that yet, obviously the writer thinks epi 11/16 too early to reveal this original surprise), who is too young for her and keeps calling her "Teach". I really don't know which is worse. Heelloo, are there no other guys our FL could date. EPISODE 12: The formerly annoying silly side guy keeps having the most poignant scenes. ML is someone that we forgot he's supposed to be ML. ML's brother luckilly shares no scenes with FL this time, so I can blissfully skip him again. FL's friend is too self absorbed to really talk to FL, so FL keeps talking to virtual assistant in her phone. It's a trend in k-dramas. People are too self centered to really listen to others, right? So, while 'I Need Romance' 1 & 2 leads still talked to their friends, 'I Need Romance 3' lead talked to stuffed giraffe. Today's lead talk to AI. Episode ending: cringe kiss + good kiss.
EPISODE 1: . ML prefers drinking solo and explains his reasons, and I totally agree with them . Other people except ML go drinking with their BOSS and other people from WORK, showcasing all the reasons why that is not good thing to do for any of them (the boss included) . FL goes out of her way to act friendly with ML and he dismisses her in quite degradory way. I would accept this on co-worker base, but sorry ML has NO CHANCE of becoming her boyfriend in the future (if this drama is supposed to have their romance) EPISODE 2: FL is failing miserably in her job, she is no success. One boy with weirdo-serial-killer haircut, which should prevent him from going outside without a hoodie in any country except Korea, asks for refund because SHE is not pretty enough. While ML, who is super successful, is petty enough to be smirking at FL's misery and offering his mocking comments, while she is already down. EPISODE 3: ML is in totall misconception about what kind of person FL is, but in the end, one can only sympathize with ML here, trying to stay away from people at least in his personal time. ML's brother forcefully comes to live with him, despite it being obvious that ML loves his peace. ML's new "boss" and "colleagues" also come to forcefully drink with him, despite ML openly telling them that he wants to be left alone. They forcibly join him. Who does that? Also we watch ML's brother with his friends. They all act like 15 year olds. ML's brother also suprisingly does not go to ML's class. He takes FL's class (?:-D). One of FL's colleagues keeps mimicking talking to the old walkie talkie, like in 'Signal'. It's annoying, yet it at least proves how stupid Sci-Fi dramas are, when we watch the same stuff without the genre music. It occured to me how it would look like if they re-shooted 99% k-dramas - with the people screaming loud enough to shatter glass during regular conversation, and general overly melo/dramatic behavior - with ML's character put in, covering his ears, or leaving them alone at mid-sentence. EPISODE 4: ML keeps practicing his Drinking Solo, occasionally smirking at other people who overdrink and become too loud and out of it. Why didn't he learn and keeps having his "peaceful me time" at public places that anyone can enter? Why doesn't he at least sit in some secluded corner? (So that people from work can't easily spot him next time:-) Why does he bother to post what he eats on social media? But, he currently doesn't have peace even at home. Because his beloved sibling is there. Who literally starts jumping up and down, learning that ML will be away for the weekend, and he'll have the house for himself. There goes the "Solo" theme of this drama, again. Everyone actually loves being left alone:-D Also, I cheer for ML mentioning KARAOKE, which ALL asians inexplicably seem to LOVE, as torturous thing it actually is. No matter if people doing it are drunk or sober. It's funny to see the montage of other people on the night out, all exhausting themselves with dragging their drunk fellows home, or throwing up. While he just comfortably eats delicacies:-) ML might not be "likeable" lead, but I SO agree with him!:-) EPISODE 5: FL's colleagues start being annoying to extreme. And she goes on some kind of business trip with them. Meaning she's with them day & night. All this is really not worth the money she earns. ML's brother & ML's brother's friends: I completely skip them this episode, and I intend to do so every episode from now on. But then, ML's younger brother starts hitting on FL. While FL is 5 years younger than ML, she is 7 years older than ML's brother. After that encounter, even she gets drunk as a skunk:-D When she started staggering on a street, I wondered whether she will crash into ML in that scene. And of course, there he was, enjoying his "alone time" right in the middle of the street. Because I get how this drama's writer writes, by now:-D Then he has to deal with her when completely wasted, and his facial expressions are priceless. I finally laughed during this drama;-) EPISODE 6: Gee, I am still more open for FL to start dating the prickly ML, than ML's younger brother. Who keeps being inexplicably interested in FL. I skip all the secondary lines, but even the main line is getting pretty stupid. Except from heartily agreeing with ML's drinking solo habits and general views, I don't seem to care about relationships of anyone with anyone, here.
Reading the synopsis: "It was difficult to adapt to life in the northeast, but with the help of a warm northeast girl, Zhao Duo Duo and her friends, he finally got adjusted to the strange place." What's so strange about chinese northeast? Isn't whole China strange?
Sometimes I wish people watching just 1 episode of a drama should be allowed just 1 comment, LOL. Especially those who can't seem to grasp that drama is not a documentary, and that we're NOT dealing with the real life problem, here (when someone starts posting links about REAL life cases, you know you're dealing with an idiot). I'd say run, but we're on the internet, so I'd say clean your view nice & beautiful: go upper right corner to your user icon, select "Friends" (yes, as ironic as that is:-D), click User Search, type: "RestInPeaceMoonbin" or "Kbeauty" and JUST HOVER over +Add Friend, and click "Block User" instead. Does wonders! Your MDL is clean from c..p!:-) Just BEAUTIFUL. ♥
One of my favorites ever I keep watching it over and over. Definitely you should throw any moral compass when…
Also re-watched this one and re-visited even its comments page just for fun... Looks like "Kbeauty", trying to sound intelligent, still has no intel about how many MDL users block him/her LOL
