Nope, he died and that's his reincarnation which doesn't make any sense lol.
Yeah but who cares in CHINESE drama LOL

Its because long C-dramas usually air on national TV, so they have to follow strict rules to make sure they're…
Well, HOPEFULLY "national tv" will cease to exist and not only in China but everywhere, because internet is all we need. Also hopefully China will cease to exist. (Peacefully dissolved into small, democratic states, HOPEFULLY:-)

i love rewatching dramas and knowing the cast members are huge now! rewatched the heirs the other day and now…
REwatched The Heirs? Jesust Christ. LMAO
I had to check if I even finished Heirs... Don't remember that anymore, I only remember the EXPERIENCE. So, I checked (that's why I have MDL:-) I did! OMG I was SO disciplined back then.
Someone below me immediatelly wrote that I am a hater, no I'm not, hate is a feeling and I have no feeling to such cr.p as The Heirs I just found it funny someone re-watched that.

The Genres (not Tags) for this drama are:
Genres: Business, Romance, Drama
In that order. It's a bit ridiculous, but never mind.
"Chinese yuppies"... Wonder if that's a thing. People in communist China, I think they have different problems, but never mind they would make all these dramas to show to the rest of the world LMAO

"More jazz than pop"? Is THAT good? LMAO
"ML is charming as f.ck"? Are you REALLY sure you straight? LOL As straight woman I don't find him attractive, but perhaps he's the type that'll grow on me (I am also currently at episode 2).
As for the focus on their jobs: the Top Review does mention that "there’s a lot of business talk - about 50% business, 50% romance." And I mean, I notice "Bussiness" listed in Genres for so many c-dramas:-D But, sorry, that is not a GENRE. I do get that the characters do work somewhere, but are the writers professional enough to know that we don't care THAT much that we'd really want to listen to their ACTUAL work talk IN A DRAMA, right?
If they are not, then what is left for the viewer than to fastforward in the 1000 minutes of runtime? But then "you miss the dialogs and that get you out of the mood", which probably means the jazz feel you mentioned.
So, just like nie wiem, I don't know. Am I patient enough for this? I'll try. It has 14 episodes, and not 45;-)

I think they meant 'Fleshes out'. It provides additional context and depth to the relationships and storylines.
LOL someone should edit the synopsis

Title Cheese in the Trap Spoiler
Episode 12:
To say that I am confused would be an understatement. Who is actually a bad guy and who the good guy seems unclear at this point. It might be my fault because I fastforwarded, not really interested in the whole lenghty backstory. This drama did not make me care enough. It also proves to be too much psychological family drama to be enjoyable as romance. Lead actor's age is enough problem for him portraying university student, let alone high school student. Fights are too brutal to watch when involving things like metal stick. I suspect the writer is only toying with the idea of ML being evil because that motive appears since early episodes. At any rate, no matter if he did something bad or not, his relationship with FL is doomed. She openly asked him to talk honestly to her, to quit pretending, in other words, show real feelings and become her real BF. He refused.
Then there's more flashbacks shown near the end of this episode. I did not fastforward them. I could relate to the problem of overhearing people talk about us, often without context, without realizing some of the things said might not be quite how the person who said them truly felt, that the person they were saying it TO played a big part. That just because we "secretly overheard" it, doesn't mean that it was the absolute truth hidden from us. Such overheard words can deeply affect us, especially in young age. Also ML seems to really talk to FL this time, and after she listens, she reacts in the best possible way, I had to appreciate her character.

Episode 11...
...There's kissing on bed!!:-)
Also, FL's friends acts like her perfect bodyguards, and shield her from the stalker XY (still don't bother remembering his name) each time. Great! Finally they do something good for their friend. Shey should have done it long time ago.
Also FL acts super happy to be around ML, now. Well... Finally.
SML starts realizing his feelings for FL, sadly in the exact point when her relationship with ML begins to flourish. And he has to watch from the front seat. So far he had super cute friendship line with her going. Now, he's bound to be brokenhearted? ML has deeprooted issues with SML being overly vocal & close to FL. He did ask her to keep away from him in the past... It might not be fair to SML, but perhaps FL should have listened? Sometimes we need to do things for the sake of our relationship with someone. Everyone has some issues. And if SML is really developing feelings for FL, it might be more kind to cut the cord quick.

1. There’s a lot of business talk - about 50% business, 50% romance. If this is not your thing, you might want to reconsider watching.

That's a bummer. I see "Bussiness" listed in Genres for so many c-dramas. Like THAT's a proper genre, lol. I mean, I do get that the characters do work somewhere, but we all know that we don't REALLY care about their work, do we? Why listen to their ACTUAL work talk? I say if the writers are not professional enough to know not to bother the audience with it, then at least we viewers skip it. Saves a lot of OUR time.

2. This is not really a plot-driven drama. The business plot serves as a way for our main leads to grow personally and professionally.

Well, that's a plus, actually. Character development is always way more important to me than the plot.

3. Very dialog heavy - The beauty of this drama is the witty and thoughtful conversations.

That's a plus. Good conversation and interaction is what I value the most on dramas, even on movies, in fact.

4. Try not to fast-forward - you will miss the dialogs and get you out of the mood. Try not to do that with the business plot either, as you will be even more confused.

That's gonna be a problem, lol.

Title Cruel Romance Spoiler
FL is just a mean b*tch, sorry but it's true.. She called ML her friend and gives the bracelet he giftet her just…
Episode 12, she's very hurtful. Her constant need to preach and teach makes her go and smash the bracelet right in front of him, saying that he can't buy her feelings with things. While that might be morally right in theory, in practice he is someone that she owes to for a lot. He came to her drunk, saying that the bracelet was precious, so I'd be more careful perhaps the thing did have sentimental value. How could she be so sure? That she didn't just hurt his feelings? First she gives his gift over to the random antagonist she meets on a street and who is nice to her for 2 minutes, so she forgets everything from the past (yet she keeps mercilless track of everything she thinks ML has ever done wrong). Then she goes to his home and and commands him to give the bracelet to her. Just the fact the man who is so powerful obeys her, does not give her a hint? I would be more careful it's so clear that he has feelings for her. How come she's the only one who is not considerate of that? It's just the writer did write her character the most offhanded way. They just use her for this scene, and that scene... Without care whether it makes sense and whether it lies within the integrity of each character. Because to be fair, ML is the same. Right after being insulted by her, he still watches her every step, lurking in the shadows, just to give her aid each time she does something stupid, and inevitably ends up in trouble. She is so stupid that she doesn't find it odd that all the strangers around her miraculously help her. It's obvious both characters have been written by the same writer. So, after she smashes the bracelet he makes sure she ends up in beautiful room like for a princess. Perhaps I was supposed to find it romantic as a viewer, but I just felt ashamed for her. Meanwhile there was SFL whom I was rooting for despite her not being so "perfect". But her guy did move on from her, for the dumbass ball no less, leaving her in hell.
On Cruel Romance Feb 14, 2025
SFL has beautiful actress. She's a better watch than FL, she is self-centered, she is flawed, but I felt for her more. She got real cruel fate, so the drama name fits her story more than the lead couple's. It's really romantically unsatisfying that she didn't get happy ending, because somehow her romance was more believable. Her story gets too sad for some viewers. FL on the other hand, is moral and selfless and brave and cares for other people, just somehow proves that Road To Hell Is Paved With Good Intentions. She'd spare a lot grief had she just mind her own bussiness (if possible, she should not come from a family which was massacred, that arch does not suit her "sunny disposition" anyways) and is the kind that annoys many people but the writer obviously thought her being childish and act with abandon is what makes her love worthy and original. As the main character she can't die or go away or actually pay for any of her mistakes, so she constantly costs ML money and makes him her lapdog and that's supposed to be romantic, while in fact that should make ML lose his reputation in town within 2 days. FL does not have actress beautiful enough to justify ML being obsessed with her to such extent, so it's not very credible just because she catches his eye with her super fictional behavior for that period, or because she doesn't sleep with him right away. Applying even tiny pinch of logic, her story with him should be VERY short. So, This is strictly guilty-pleasure kind of watch with your eyes on the pleasing visuals and couple intimacy scenes, and your brain off.

Title Coffee House Spoiler
The only aggravating about this drama was the fact that Jin Soo didn't end up with Seung Yeon...Actually brought…
Please spoiler me, does the writer end up with his "assistant", or his "friend"? Or does the secretary end up with the guy she thinks can't speak?

Okay, Park Shi Yeon proved to be more than pretty face. She's really funny in this.
However, the lead guy is NOT funny. And it's apparent that he is supposed to be, which makes it worse. But he is only bit creepy at times. After 3 episodes, I'm not sure whether I want to watch this.
If anything, I guess it would have turned out better had they cut the whole secretary character. Let it be just about 2 leads.
