He is oddly attractive. Truly remarkable face. Just enlarge his MDL profile pic and start analyzing his features. You'll laugh. But somehow, he IS hot:-)
I'm watching 2009 'Cinderella Man' and suddenly there is an obnoxious minor character with incredible curly hair. But somehow, I don't dislike him! I check the cast and I find out yes, that's the lead from 'Mad For Each Other'! When he was 28:-) lol
Yeah, "cool" nickname. If he at least had a "cool" japanese nickname... Just listening to all the cast pronouncing "death prince" the way japanese do... Would make this a parody even had they NOT intend it.
"1) one of them loses complete interest in the lead female and goes back to the second lead female he ditched long ago for unexplained reasons, 2) one of them grows to like the lead female yet takes care of the second lead female to an unreasonable extent, 3) one of them likes the lead female genuinely but, of course, the plot won't allow them to even meet and talk properly, 4) and the last one of them leaves the *knight* title ever so quickly and branches out to his own super cliche sub plot....."
I'm confused. Who is the endgame couple here? Or is there none? Then MDL has to erase "Romance" from the Genres.
Episode 7, after 5 minutes: Some new dude arrives in the apartment practically all the characters ended up living together in. Not sure whether I'm supposed to know him. Nevertheless, after another 3 minutes, ML arrives into the apartment. He makes the usual face at FL (I'm already used to that), then seeing the guy (someone's brother?) he stands there mute for 10 seconds wearing his typical "blank face". That moment - or several moments - I realized that: a) he usually looks at FL with that "expression", so far we were supposed to believe that it's "romantic" b) I'm kinda tired with his face. He's not very attractive, not very manly The rest of the scene everyone acts bewildered, tensed like before big storm hits while ML acts very theatrical. I soon ceased to pay attention, not really caring who the new guy was and what he wanted. Because, somehow I was losing my GENERAL interest in the ML, and perhaps this show.... Yup. Dropped.
Older jdoramas really have awful FLs. The character here is supposed to be a top news producer but needs to be…
Aw, you're too harsh. She's a professional no-nonsense kind of worker, but very soon she starts giving in, when working alongside so many cute characters. You can see that she melted towards them, but of course she cannot show it too much as their boss (the actress portrayed this very well, after all she was no novice she was 30). The whole time, she has to report to the board, and they ARE completely heartless. Still, she takes the workers side practically every case ("of the week":) You dropped this but I did not and when 1 episode before the final ML tells her that he didn't make the meeting she requested of him before leaving abroad, wanting to tell him something important, it occured to me that she was probably pregnant and at a crossroads in her life and when he did not as much as show up and did not make it to the airport when she was leaving either, she probably took it as a sign. Abroad everyone expected her to excel at work, not have a child out of wedlock, so she probably visited some doctor in the end, after all they don't make much fuss about such procedure in the west, it's like getting a tooth out, and she could probably even do it anonymously so she did that. And after years, she got shaped into the childless career woman, because that's where life took her and after meeting him again, they were able to co-work well, which was positive but him telling her his side of the story could no longer change things back. Her personality was shaped. I did not see the final yet, I'm halfway episode 10 so this is just my theory;-)
So, the other guy has left because he knew he had only 6 months to live, so he's probably dead by now. She doesn't even know because he did not want to bother her, he did not want her to suffer. He dealt with so much, being terminally ill, deciding to dump her after ML assured him that HE won't leave her. This guy gets one picture clearly taken at public in broad daylight and acts like it's the end of the world. He really is a spoilt brat. As if she did not repeatedly catch him with girls clinging to each of his arm. As if she did not know that her chances of his family actually approving of her as their daughter in law was close to zero. So if someone was supposed to be freaking out it was her, no?
Truly remarkable face.
