Japanese has a thing called loan words where they just use a word from another language and modify the pronunciation…
Yeah thanks but I don't really care whatever reason they have. It's not that japanese NEED to loan words, anyways. It is IRRITATING me is my concern. Not that I would need subtitles to translate. The thing that japanese have their own, sufficiently evolved language, enough to be able to use their own japanese word for such basic thing like *bed*, and yet they choose to instead of it say: "betto", is annoying me to no end. Not to mention it's a massacre of BOTH the languages, if you just randomly mix two of them in 1 sentence. When indians do that in bollywood, you take it as part of the comedy. NOT with japanese, they are supposed to be more civilized & developed country in my eyes, for that. So, more respect for language of someone else, or at least our own? No? Hence, me being irritated.
Okay, this has NO rape. This even has NO forced kiss (successful one). What it actually does have are lot of rather awkward scenes in which the somewhat mature looking actor tries to act "angry young man" style for his character's jealousy & possesiveness & being hurt that she left him & suspected him, yada yada... Which are so histrionic that the man can't help but laugh at those in between the takes (yes, they showed all that during the end credits). It's all quite unconvicing and mellow and strongly feels like the whole cast would much rather do a comedy, instead. The whole "suspense" plot takes literally 3 minutes to unfold and then it's just a lot of laughs. I can say I definitely expected something much darker.
Okay, the "Where To Watch" link is "unavailable in my region" no matter whichever VPN I use, lol. I found ytb link (below), nevertheless after the feisty start this isn't as sweet as it promised to be, the main couple has a height difference which makes any attempt of "forced kiss" look very awkward and he does NOT kiss her at the end of it and by the time we reach 1/2 of the movie we get to watch that 3 times in a row. Also, there is a short, super-unconvincing flashback on them still being happy couple, where he tries to spin around with her like children do, and it looks super awkward:-) He then turns around and shows her his feelings (he was acting like a d*ck at the beginning) which should be romantic conclusion for the two. Things get hot in between them and he finally kisses her but just the bare minimum, then immediatelly it's hands & camera angle. Could have been way better. After all, it was all this rather primitive story had going for it;-) He could have found the real culprit who harmed her dad. She could have said sorry that she suspected him of something so bad. No? It somehow sorts itself out at the very end, but it does not have much emotion. Instead, they go to spin around once more in a lavender field or smth:-)
Halfway Review: The premise was very interesting but the drama is way too long. There was no need to have 40 episodes…
Well I can recommend you to watch 'D-Day (2015)' which is here under "Recommendations" (the SECOND poster, not the other c-drama!:-) It has half the episodes than this. I did watch it, and I remember I was not disappointed. Considering I even rated it 10 stars, it must have been really good because I don't do that often LOL
I do not get why the two of them keep typing when they sit across the same desk and the other workers have left. I do admire the super mega clean keyboards they both keep having:-D Guy is a bit dense (she's feeling a little cold, so he rises the room temperature in the office to 30 degrees celsius? he asks her to go for a nice hot cup of coffee and buys her a frappuchino?), but then girl is too (why keep musing about being "between friendship and love"?).
Might be just 6 minutes, yet you see the diff between k-drama and others. In c-drama, the interies would have insane color palette & designs. Just because in reality, they hardly even have desks, lol. In j-dramas, the interiers would look like someone lived in them for at least 10 years. The ammassed amount of various objects on the desks would silently speak of numerous lifetime stories. But nothing would be as neat, squeaky clean, brand new & product placement-ish as this.
Also, the visuals of the males they chose to put in BL roles... (In Japan/Korea/Thailand) They do have hot guys. Why choose those whose looks are somewhat embarassing. Just because they're into same sex, they don't need to look like that.
I'm sorry but they really need to remind themselves that good dialogues make good drama in Japan (and probably not only in Japan). NOT inner monologues. Make good dramas good enough without somebody's voiceover explaining. If I want that I'll find a book, or audio-book.
"I did not like Toji's character at all -.-' Sorry to say. He's so.. uh." Okay, bold statement. I wondered what was he like, then. This was not very clear... I read on.
"I can't really point out what's wrong with Toji, but I know he just feels... uhh." Okay, that did NOT clear it for me.
I am 3 episodes in and so far things are pretty meh so I went to read some reviews to get a gist of what kind of drama this was supposed to be. But this is one of those reviews which does not make a diff whether you read it or not. "Slice-of-life" was mentioned more than once, which is not promising, whatever THAT is in fictional drama (can't still figure it out and I watched 1000 dramas), "not the best" was mentioned more than once, whatever that's code for, in the end, it was very heart-warming:) Okay, thanks for nothing, now I'm none the wiser;-)
Well, if you're new to c-drama, you're in for a ride, esp. if your not used to their style of work. Here's one…
Me? I don't watch enough c-drama to recommend best action romance one, sorry. C-drama is never my priority. I thought that was clear from my comment;-)
Hi guys, I'm new to CDRAMAS, I watched this one and OMG it's very sweet full of butterflies without any stressful…
Well, if you're new to c-drama, you're in for a ride, esp. if your not used to their style of work. Here's one pointer for you: Be benevolent. Excuse the character's weird "fashion sense": they're from China. Excuse the absurd "undercut" hairstyles (males): they're from China. Excuse the fact the creators got their finished work censured: they're in China. Excuse the extra image space taken by double subtitling: the Standard Chinese subtitles are MANDATORY for them in China. Excuse the weird way the actors speak: They are dubbed by a 45 year old voice actor in a studio. You NEVER get to hear the actual actors. The meaning of some of the dialogue was also changed, because it was required by the censorship. Apart from that: ENJOY, lol.
The side characters are more interesting than the leads (toxic).
Well, this is a 1999 drama SET IN PRISON. It's not the currrent politically correct, morally perfect, gender neutral, carbon footprint-free "drama", which labels everything else as "toxic" (popular word since Britney Spears, it seems:)
Okay, I finished watching the movie. Some of the comments made the movie sound harsh, while it actually was more like subtle and soft. For example, I would not judge the brother for going to the love hotel with that other girl who was blackmailing him (it's open to interpretation whether he actually had sex with her, it looks more like he didn't), if we have to work with the crazy premise that she was THIS obsessed and willing to do anything, what could he possibly do. On the contrary, I was surprised with the "outdoor ending", that was about the only kind of ending I did not expect. As opposed to the rest of the film, it looked very authentic.
HELPPP I WAS WAITING FOR THEM TO REVEAL THEY ARENT TWINS LIKE MAYBE ONE WAS ADOPTED AS A BABY BUT WHATTT THIS…
Well, they DID try to make a movie about this theme. Not a movie which will dismiss it by them actually not being siblings, and therefore actually NOT a movie on this theme.
It is IRRITATING me is my concern.

It's 12x46 min. That's 9,2 hours. That's like a work shift, lol.
