Hello! That time of year again to list questions for all BL lovers out there to answer! It's been another spectacular…
Yeah but a "discussion" is not enough for this. Everyone is answering the same set of questions but there are no results available from you to display you should have made it a poll with visible results of the Favorite overall series of 2022 Favorite smooches of 2022 Favorite NC scenes of 2022 Favorite main couple of 2022 Favorite side couple of 2022 etc etc etc It should be easy to see which dramas were named for the most number of times and not just some long messy comment thread.
Okay, in "Mobu Part 2", there is Izuka Kenta, who must be in everything, and despite Mobu's disappointing conversion to BL, it's still a funny situation. I mean, when we see him introduced along with the shiny white flowers, and our Mobu (mobu means side-character/extra) needs to protect his eyes, lol. But then, if someone else kisses the guy Mobu just confessed to, and Mobu's reaction is not a reaction of a brokenhearted guy. He does not try to confront Kikuchi or fight for him instead he runs away screaming on the streets that this confirms he is a side-character (mobu). Except that he IS supposed to be the main character of this show. How are we supposed to care what happens to him, if HE does not? Or at least, somehow follow his character as viewers... Even considering it's a Parody (even characters in parody care about their own feelings). Yet, he is most concerned with people's NAMES for the rest of the episode. And there are only 2 more remaining... EDiT: Okay, after Mobu behaves like a** most of the screentime (difference being that 1st season Mobu WAS funny, but somehow 2nd season Mobu no longer is, despite him constantly making faces & screaming 2x louder and more often), minding everyone else's business more than his own, AFTER the viewer already accepts that second season has no intention to continue any romantic line for Mobu, he suddenly, like literally 5 minutes before the ending, gets all emotional and tearful, desperately searching where is Kikuchi (apparently that one gave up on him and left). I must say, I did not feel that he deserved to find him.... 6 out of 10.
Well, this was SO under average in terms of romance, still that was GREAT in compare when they attempted to cover the reporter cases. Episode 6 reminded me of "dramas" which before, I was thinking only third world countries like Thailand were capable of making. To do a show this stupid about a theme this grave is really a disservice and probably helping the real mafia even more... 6 out of 10.
Okay, WHEN we get over the whole fashion industry setting, with the lead designer who cares to use watercolors for design SKETCHES, when we have like, 40 year old female lead (who looks good, though), preparing for fashion week IN BUSAN: obviously someone's creepy fantasy;.-) Although! Google DOES list "City of Busan hosting 2023 Korea-ASEAN Fashion Week to showcase convergence of meta-fashion, metaverse, and traditional fashion through hologram fashion shows and artificial intelligence-driven experiences"... LOL When she does things like having one-night-stands while being abroad without as much as remembering the face of the guy, effortlessly conversing in french, although one look at his HAIRCUT should tell her not to bother because he's korean! Koreans would travel all over the world, still they won't get rid of their horrible haircuts.. They mix with what looks like authentic french people in the abroad scenes, and their hairdos stand out so ghastly you expect them to get arrested for it... Or for their CLOTHES, for that matter... When we have male lead photographer who picks which work he will accept and which not, and obviously he reckons he's too good for Dior and Chanel (LMAO), when we have a french male character (french actor? or at least european actor?) who wears SUCH haircut that you wonder whether they brought him into a korean compulsory camp and cut his hair there... When everybody calls female lead "Team Jang Nim" which means "teamleader" which is HILARIOUS for fashion industry... When the renowned french fashion designer needs a break in Korea, which is so believable so Let's build whole drama on such premise... In other words, when we get through the FIRST 20 MINUTES of the drama, then...? The male lead is kinda cute and perhaps the Older Woman/Younger Man romance will be enjoyable.
EDiT: Okay, Episode 3 there is a VERY nice scene. To which our modern, stupid motion sensor lighting adds the right atmosphere, LOL. Our FL also says something very true and amazingly honest. She really isn't Older Woman versus Younger Man for no reason.
But! Do pi** off with the type of plots like a dead ex who MUST be ML's brother else the writer would choke on originality in 2021 lol.
Then HER annoying brother is added... It would seem that brothers are the terrorizing element of this drama's couple.
EDiT: Lost interest after 9 episodes. MAYBE I'll watch the rest later. Bored to death NOW.
Yeah I AM already a couple eps in and considering dropping this as honestly as a drama I am not very interested…
I agree, because in episode 5 ending they share a really good and long kiss so it's not something forgettable but one of the boys refuses to talk about it and then is avoiding the other boy, who first gets frustrated and pursues the boy around, in the end when nothing else works, tries to make him laugh:-) So, at least there's this character dynamics. So I'll keep watching and let's see where we go from here. Because episodes 1-5 (pre-kiss) honestly, I was not well inclined towards this show because at that point I was quite fed up with thai tv in general plus all the initial "drama" was really bland and I was not invested at all. Now, I'm giving this a chance.
Completed... Kitchy, cliche left & right, shallow, confused, all happening at once, unconvincing. There you go with short-length dramas. It always comes across rather ridiculous. One of the boys has empty character to portray, the other has a bad actor. They look good together only at the very final, lying in bed completely still. Not staying for season 2, special-cut, follow-up movie, etc.....
I love the main song and all the instrumental music in this, all 3 seasons. Anyone has any download links? I was not able to as much as identify the bedscene song;-) All I got were the songs used during the end credits, which I do not care for.
Wow what a poster... And the beautiful woman in the main role... She's like 50 (!) :-) It was good with sometimes too much sex scene to the point of being rather comical. I didn't get the ending, either (lame). 7.5 out of 10.
Might be even if you watched the un-cut version, 'cause I'm watching it (it's available in 1080p mkv to download)…
Might be because taiwanese dramas are real dramas produced by real country. Not by huge, forcibly unified empire that cares about their rules first, anything else second. As long as no one speaks dialect, no one is gay, no one wants democracy. Yeah everything is dubbed, censored, to hell with good acting, good plot, good drama LOL I for one LOVE taiwanese BL 'We Best Love' and 'HIStory3: Trapped'.

I noticed they also show "Starbuck Coffee" and similar stuff to appear that they are "just like the rest of the world". It's so funny.
