You do understand that it is a fantasy and not a documentary right??? You have a problem with characters wearing victorian style attire (would have been the Meiji period in Japan and some of the nobles of the time there did indeed adopt the suits and hats from the victiorian style). You moan that it's too different from a comic or cartoon version of itself that you've seen, it's adapted for film for Christ's sake! How many cartoons have you seen made into movies that are exactly the same?! And they are cartoons, you can dress it up and make it sound fancy by calling anime but at the end of the day it's still a cartoon!!

She doesnt appear to have done to many but shes been great in the 3 ive seen. I do confuse her with Ma Sichun as well sometimes whos equally as appealimg and talented to watch.

Not seen the listed ones yet but they in the queue :). AMA has my one of favourites "Bai Lu" so ive been meaning to watch that for while. just finished itewon class that i really enjoyed, light on the romance (and the lead actually ended up with the better female , which seemed unlikey until the last few episodes)

Ive been thoroughly disappointed largely with the strong females in korean and chinese films/dramas. Great leads are turned into pathetic needy women at the first glance of a man (hotel del luna im looking directly at you!!!). The best ive seen is a short list of "Mu Guilang takes command", "The Legends - zhao yao", "strong woman Boon Soon", "shadowless sword" and "oh my general". Im not even female but it annoys me to see how badly they portrayed as soon as a man they like turns up, from kickass character into a dribbling mess. Being male i dont really want some wet drippy romance to be honest, i've watched over 100 films/dramas trying to find a strong female, like zhao yao where shes even considered and called a demoness (so the bad side wins, and romance is at a minimum) but largely ive been unsuccessful. Demoness, witch, nine tailed fox i m not bothered just cut the romance and let them be consistently strong, the strong males dont get spoiled as soon as a woman turns up. Any recommendations for zero romance strong female leads or at least limited romance would be apprwciated.
